Plot: Brindlepaw, Rosepaw, and Frevidsummer just after it was announced that Rosepaw would be receiving the title of Witch Jadieracer
Frevidsummer had watched her adopted daughter disappear into Wintrystar's den almost an hour ago, and now she watched as the she-cat emerged. Unbeknownst to her, the student had just received word that a message had been sent by the Gods to the Knight of the Stars stating that two new cats had been chosen to become the medical staff of WinterClan following the disappearance of the last two. At the moment, the warrior sat quietly with Brindlepaw, waiting for the missing cat of tehir small family to rejoin them so they may go out to the Sapphire Springs like planned for their family day.

Rosepaw emerged from Wintrystar's den, her face rather unreadable as she joined her sister and mother who were waiting patiently on her to emerge. She had been speaking with Wintrystar for a while now, and normally getting called into the leader's den wasn't a good thing. Honestly she wasn't sure how to feel about the news that she had just been given. Sure she was going to rise in rank, but this also would put her in the direct view of the clan. She had never had any experience with any sort of healing, and now she would be expected to figure it all out without even a proper mentor... She had wanted to prove herself and gain some power in order to protect her sister, but becoming WInterClan's next witch would draw a lot of attention to their little family that most hadn't even fully accepted due to their obscure heritage "We can go now" she dipped her head, before catching Brindlepaw's worried gaze "Now don't look at me like that, everything is fine. We can talk about it in a bit"
Any time a cat was called into Wintrystar's den for such a long time was a cause for alarm. It was almost never good. So, Brindlepaw didn't quite buy Rosepaw's reassurance, but she'd trust her sister, she always had. She immediately gave her a supportive smile and stretched into a standing position, "I'm ready if you two are. Let's go!"

Rosepaw nodded, tipping her head upwards to face their mother "are you ready?" she questioned politely. The she-cat had been kind enough to take the two of them in as mere kits, so if there was one cat that Rosepaw respected more than the others in WinterClan it was Fervidsummer. They had been treated as if they were her own daughters, with no questions asked once it was determined that they were of WinterClan blood "Again, everything is fine mother. I promise, so don't worry to much. Once we get out of camp i will tell you what Wintrystar wanted" pao
The she-cat smiled, hoping it was enough to reassure the two troubled students. She may not know what's going on, but as their adoptive mother she'd do her best to make it alright. "Alright, if you're sure, then let's get going." They made it out a camp a few feet before she spoke up again, breaking the silence. "If there's ever anything you two need. To talk about or just need or even want, just say something. I promise I'll be here for you, even if that's just an ear to listen or a shoulder to lean on."
(so wanna have Frevidsummer kidnap a certain Amberbird for her sweet daughter? I mean she is gonna bust her little brother out of jail before long so it'd be fitting for her lol) racerJadie
(IDK why but I will always say yes to something like that!)
"Thanks mom, you're the best," Brindlepaw purred, brushing her head against Fervidsummer's shoulder as they began their trek to the Sapphire Springs. She was as tall as her adoptive mother was now; it was hard to believe that soon she would be a full-fledged Warrior, "I've never said this, but I'm so glad that you were the one who found us and took us in... Not all WinterClan cats are raised with such love and attention."
She cast her celadon gaze toward Rosepaw and flicked her tail at the sister, a silent 'you're welcome' for changing the topic for the time being, before looking back to Fervidsummer, "What was the first thing you thought when you found us at the river?"

(Absolutely <3 They can all three take a trip XD)
Rosepaw smiled a little bit, nudging her sister back in a silent thank you as she turned her attention to their mother "You have been very kind to us, and I really can not thank you enough for taking us in and treating us like we were your own children" she purred slightly, trotting until she had caught up and her fur was brushing up against Fervidsummer's "I don't really remember what our lives were like before washing up her in WinterClan, but I do know that we lucky to have you"
"that you were both far too small and wet and cold to be real." A soft smile was on her lips remembering that day. Honestly, the she-cat had thought they dead until she realized they were alive. A miracle by the Gods' grace she was sure. "You've been mine since that day, by heart if nothing else. They were hers and she'd fight the whole of the clan for them if that's what it took. The vow of a mother she was sure. Frevidsummer had always been caring, mothery, and kind. Especially with her little brother Frigidpaw, but actually became a mother when she found these two and would never change that. Thinking of her brother, her smile turned sad. It'd been a while since she'd had a chance to visit him. He wasn't well mentally and in one of his fits of manic, he'd attacked and killed a fellow student, condemning him to a life in the prison den. It was the best option though if only he'd been gifted the treatments he deserved though, the crystals that could help him. But it was not a grace given to prisoners and he was lucky to have been spared from execution and death by the fact that all admitted that it seemed like an accident, but the punishment was still needed for the murder of a clanmate could not go unpunished. "Why don't we look for something nice for your uncle while we're out?" The girls knew him, even if most of their life he'd been in prison. But he'd been there that day there were found and had played with them as kits and shown them love.

Rosepaw nodded "I'm sure he would like to have some visitors..." she trailed off the weight of what she had just been told still weighing on her. They were now far enough away from camp that she felt more comfortable telling her family about the big news "Speaking of... Hopefully I will be able to help our uncle more soon..." she looked between Fervidsummer and Brindlepaw "What Wintrystar wanted to talk to me about, was stepping in to fill the position of WinterClan's witch" she swallowed hard, still unsure about this new development "Of course its an honor to be chosen, but..." she trailed of trying to push away the uncertainties. How was she supposed to be a witch without a mentor? She knew nearly nothing about healing, and even less about the spiritual side of things "I don't know if this is what I want" she looked to both of them "It means that I will have ore power and influence in the clan, but.... Those in power tend to draw attention to themselves and their families"
Jadieracer alright wanna wrap this part up, confess the fear of and need for a mentor and then Brindlepaw or Frevidsummer hear word of Ambersky staying in a twoleg den and go steal hi to teach Rosepaw? We can skip the actual kidnapping, maybe in this thread have one or both of them mention hearing that the tom had left his position in FallClan and was now "wondering" and go and collect him. To Brindlepaw and Rosepaw's knowledge (and Frevidsummer could be the one to actually kidnap him so this stays true to them) the tom came willingly to teach her, and will only stay as long as it takes to teach her? and then is released by Wintrystar, who approved of the kidnapping, Frevidsummer and the clan with no problems
Frevidsummer was over joyed at first for her daughter and then she heard her fears. her smile turned from bright to one more soft and motherly. "You're heart is too good to be corrupted, little one. I know you. You would never use your power or position for anything but honesty and faith for the clan. This role is an honor and one that Wintrystar wouldn't offer to just anyone. Besides, we can handle ourselves if trouble comes our way. If that's all that's holding you back then I see no problems. We are strong, even strong together, and not even the ideal of power and influence would separate us." She spoke from her heart, pulling her kit to her in comfort and affection. She knew Rosepaw would make a lovely Witch, a strong one and fulfill the position with pride and honor. Nothing should hold her back, even the idea that the rest of her family would be in danger. "We support you. Right, Brindlepaw?"

Rosepaw leaned into her mother's warmth taking comfort from her words "Just because you are strong enough doesn't mean you should have to endure do it..." but her words were a whisper, almost unhearable, but she spoke up a little louder "I don't even have a mentor... I don't know antying about being a witch... I just have to trust that the Gods will guide my paws"
