Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Flamingstar limped her way to her throne at the back of the main cavern after speaking with Faithpaw. She took a painful seat and called to her clan, "Nightclan, please gather here for a clan meeting!" Her voice echoed and bounced off the cavern walls. She waited for her clan to gather before her, curious expressions visible throughout the crowd. "As many of you know, Faithpaw has been with us since the battle with Sunclan. She has been our prisoner but has helped out tremendously. Probably more than some of our own apprentices." She shot the apprentices an amused look. "So, since she has been a big help to us and have not once complained about being our prisoner, I believe she has deserved her warrior name. With her name, comes her freedom. Faithpaw will be free to leave Nightclan and return home but will be welcomed back to Nightclan at any time...and we hope she will return to us because Nightclan could surely use a warrior like herself. Though, I suppose an ally is just as important to us as a new warrior." She beckoned for Faithpaw to step forward.
"Faithpaw, from this moment on, Nightclan will know you as Blindfaith for always embracing your blind faith in destiny and flowing your heart. You are now free from the prison and will no longer be seen as a prisoner to Nightclan but an ally. We do hope you will return to us after finding your path and we wish you luck." Flamingstar announced, reaching around to grab a necklace with a clear crystal on it. "To make it official, a necklace was made for you, harvested from this very cavern." She placed it around Blindfaith's neck. "You can wear it any time you want or you can just keep it with you."
Faithpaw walked into the cavern leaving Greypaw's side as she walked up to where Flamingstar sat. Faithpaw's smile was as shy as the moon hiding between shadows and clouds. Her face was flushed, but her eyes beamed brightly with pride. No cat had ever complimented her this much, she hadn't realized how much she needed to hear those kind words until her eyes began to tear up from the leaders heartfelt words. Drying her tears Faithpaw stepped forward with a bright smile. She used to anticipate this moment everyday of her life, she pictured it much differently. Standing beside twenty other apprentices, promoted with the rest of her littermates with her parents watching on. While the moment was different she found the same sense of joy she would have. Flamingstar started out as her foe, but now she was happy to know a great cat like her. Greypaw was originally her prison guard, but now he was the reason she wanted to come back to NightClan as soon as she could.
She dipped her head to Flamingstar, but rose her head as Blindfaith. She was far too young to be a warrior this early, after all Greypaw was older than her. But she trusted Flamingstar when she said that she was ready, after all she had to be. "Thank-you Flamingstar," Blindfaith said, but paused, her eyes glittering at the sight of the necklace, she hadn't expected this. Her father had a necklace too, one that symbolized love, now she had her own, a different kind of love, but one she felt just as strongly for. Blindfaith's eyes teared up once more, this time she dove right into Flamingstar nuzzling into her chest fur in a tight embrace, "I'm going to do my best."
Stepping back once more Blindfaith looked over to Greypaw, she hadn't even had the chance to awkwardly try and express her feelings to him. Or go out on a few disastrous outings that would bring them closer together. It seemed the more days that past the quicker she had to grow up and miss those important youthful moments. Approaching Greypaw her usual bright gaze was faded now, more solemn knowing that tonight was their last night together before she had to leave. She hadn't even had time to explain why she was leaving. "I'm sorry, I didn't know tonight was going to be our last night. Things have... Happened."

Greypaw sat with the other apprentices and watched the proceedings with interest. He had developed a friendship, no more than that really, a special bond with the former SunClan apprentice. Due to Faithpaw's prisoner status, they had to be careful whenever they met to keep tongues from wagging. He'd looked forward to this day for what seemed like a long time.
But what was that Flamingstar just said? 'Faithpaw will be free to leave Nightclan and return home' Greypaw's eyes flew open wide in shock, he even missed the next few things his leader said. He had been riding high in the clouds just seconds ago but now his heart felt dashed on the sharp rocks below. No, no, no. This can't be happening! He looked down toward the ground at his feet while the ceremony continued. He had to compose himself so nobody would notice his distress.
Flamingstar had not expected Blindfaith to embrace her and she stiffened. Although she felt it was inappropriate to hug the leader during a naming ceremony, Flamingstar soon relaxed, a warm smile curling at her lips. "Of course, Blindfaith. And I know you will do great things." She purred, watching the young cat approach Greypaw. Hopefully he wouldn't be too harsh on her.

Greypaw couldn't help the tear that formed in his eye. "Last night?" His mew sounded more like a squeak. He cleared his throat and spoke again with more control over his emotions. "What happened? When? Don't you want to stay here in NightClan?" The prospect of losing Blindfaith after expecting her to stay was stunning to say the least.
"Of course," Blindfaith promised him. Because what she wanted to say were lies. Because her destiny came first. Because their unspoken love was too young to be held above the love she had for her family. Her cheeks already heating up from the confrontation as she dragged her paw around her ear, "I've had these dreams since I first became an apprentice, an instinct that moved my paws not where I wanted to go, but where I was needed." She could feel a familiar warm sting around her throat, "All I can tell you is that SunClan's celestial land isn't like StarClan, the consequences of speaking to you about what I know would be very unkind. But I can tell you that I never felt trapped when I was with you." Her paw stirred in the ground, her next question coming out awkwardly slow, scared for his answer or if he would look at her weird, "Did you always see me as someone who was stuck being with you or as someone who genuinely liked being around you?"

Still feeling the sting of her soon departure from NightClan and perhaps most like from his life, Blindfaith's question took him by surprise. "Well at first when we first met, I didn't know for sure how you felt but as we got to know each other better these past couple of weeks, I thought you really might have enjoyed my company." And that's what hurt his heart so much. He thought they could develop their blossoming relationship into something more serious, maybe even be mates when they were older. But now she was leaving and on her own accord. She wasn't being forced out. Flamingstar even invited her to stay.
"I want you to stay here with me in NightClan," he mewed softly, as he gazed down at her feet. "I don't understand what you meant when you talked about consequences and your celestial land. You're not going to do something dangerous, that your life might be in jeopardy, are you?" The only way he knew how to get to StarClan was to die. Even medicine cats and leaders couldn't stay there but only see it while they were alive.
Her eyes shimmered softly like sunlight stretching across blue skies. He felt the same too, her heart could finally stop trembling with every beat wondering if he wanted their relationship to grow too. She took a step closer to him, "I want the same thing too," She said, almost pleaded, wishing he could understand when he couldn't. Not when she wasn't allowed to utter a word without being punished. "And I don't know what will happen, I've been warned of danger though. All I know is that I'm coming back to NightClan, no matter what happens. And when I do, I'm going to date the heck out of you Greypaw," She said with a smile far too shy, but a budding confidence blooming in her heart. She stirred her paw into the ground, "But we still have tonight. Together. If I'm worth the heartache."

"Oh, you're worth much more than that," Greypaw meowed. He didn't like that she might have to face some danger but he could sense whatever she had to do was important, very important. So much so that he couldn't persuade her to stay. However, she did promise she'd come back. He'd just have to settle for that. But for now...
"Yes," he mewed. "We have tonight." He rubbed his cheek against hers.
