Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Rosewhisper sat among the crowd of her clanmates, her fluffy white frame preening with pride as she cheered out the name of her now-former apprentice. In Summerclan, watching your first apprentice receive their warrior name was just as important of a day as getting your own: it meant that you were truly a trusted and respected member of the clan now, and could finally be considered for the position of Deputy. Not that the young warrior was particularly interested in ever actually being Deputy; there were plenty of more experienced warriors better suited for leading than she was, but it was just a nice feeling to know that she was contributing her knowledge and experience to the future of the clan. And Reddawn... Her blue eyes sparkled as she spotted the dark-ginger she-cat sitting proudly beneath the hill. Reddawn had been an absolutely wonderful apprentice, always so cheerful and dutiful. At times it was more like having a little sister than an apprentice. She would definitely make a great warrior. As the leader dismissed the clan meeting, cats began to crowd around Reddawn with their congratulations and Rosewhisper watched from a distance with a smile on her muzzle, letting her former apprentice have the moment she deserved.

"Reddawn, Reddawn, Reddawn!"
She'd made it. Reddawn stood with pride and shining eyes, happy to at last be a full member of the clan who'd taken her in. Despite the onslaught of celebratory cheers, Rosewhisper's was the voice that stood out most. The pride in her former mentor's voice match her own feelings and she found herself searching over the heads of the crowd for her. The two she-cats were undeniably close, moreso than mentors and apprentices usually were. Rosewhisper was family to her.
Once the swarm retreated and Reddawn had thanked everyone and purred until her throat was sore, she finally made her way over to her friend. "Rosewhisper," Reddawn meowed, voice full of care and respect, "thank you again for everything, I hope to make you proud."
Rosewhisper wasn't sure if her smile could grow any wider, but it sure felt like it when Reddawn escaped the crowd and padded over to her. It also felt like there were happy tears welling up in her eyes from her former-apprentice's words. "You already have, you mousebrain," she mewed, letting out of purr of laughter as she leaned forward to give the newly-named warrior an affectionate lick on the forehead. "Summerclan's lucky to have a warrior like you among their ranks."
"It's because she had such a great mentor!" Lazing on her side in front of the elder's den, a cloudy light-grey feline chuckled at the sentimental moment between the pair of she-cats. Preciousstone, Rosewhisper's mother, couldn't help but brag a little on behalf of her one and only kit, though she was brimming with enough pride for both of the young warriors. "I'd better see a Rosestar or Redstar before I join Starclan, or better yet: some grandkits!"
"Momma-!" Rosewhisper loudly meowed in protest, flushing slightly in embarassment.

Those words from her mentor meant a lot. Reddawn's parents were gone and she had no siblings, Reddawn had been a lone for a lot of her life. But she felt as though Rosewhisper filled every role for her. She was a friend, mentor, and someone with her upmost respect and appreciation. So to hear that she had made her proud meant a great deal. At a loss for how to respond to such a profound statement she was grateful for the voice of Preciousstone.
Reddawn laughed, shaking her head and she waved her tail at the elder in greeting. "Rosestar will definitely be first, I'll settle for deputy," she responded affectionately.
