Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. USERNAME: Hex POSITION YOUR TRYING FOR: Medium CHARACTER NAME: Whisperwisp BIO: "Happiness is fleeting - I think that's the main lesson I have learned." You never know what you have until it's gone. This truth, no matter how simple it may sound, was one that Whisperwisp had to learn the hard way. She was born into MoonClan, the daughter of religious zealots Darkquill and Ivyswirl. She was a mixture of both her parents: her fur color was a medium-light gray, in between her father's dark gray and her mother's white. She had lynx spots that trickled down her back and sides, almost blending seamlessly into her fur, the markings coming from her father, though they were far more prominent on him. Her eyes were a warm chocolate brown that were a couple shades lighter than Ivyswirl's almost-black eyes. Whisperwisp was a picturesque molly, and her parents knew that; they absolutely treasured their darling daughter, their only child, and they felt it was their duty to make her exactly like them - absolutely devoted to Selene. Because of this, Whisperwisp grew up quite lonely. If Whisperwisp wasn't meditating, then she was out hunting and gathering things as offerings for Selene, and after that was done she would return to meditating. Due to not getting very much social interaction with others, Whisperwisp was quiet and fair, rarely speaking unless spoken to. That didn't stop the toms (and even some mollies) of the clan looking longingly at her beautiful appearance, though at a distance, for they didn't want to anger her parents. Darkquill and Ivyswirl were incredibly protective of their daughter, and they secretly feared the day - if it ever came - that their daughter's soulmate would be revealed. That fearful day did come, a few moons after Whisperwisp had become a warrior, and it was revealed that she was destined to be with Crookedsnout. Crookedsnout was a couple moons younger than her, and he was born to Nettleflurry, a she-cat who did not have a mate and who refused to tell anyone Crookedsnout's father. It was rumored that his father was Twistedsmile - a fellow MoonClan warrior - for Crookedsnout had the same deformed muzzle as him, though Twistedsmile denied it profusely. Due to this, Darkquill and Ivyswirl were horrified when their daughter's mateship was announced. They knew better than to cause a commotion during the ceremony, but it didn't stop them from begging their daughter to cut the union between her and Crookedsnout. 'This isn't right!' Darkquill had yowled, while Ivyswirl nearly threw herself on her daughter. 'My baby, my poor baby!' She wailed, trying to cocoon her. Whisperwisp didn't understand - the moment their mateship had been announced, everything had become clear to her. Crookedsnout was everything she never knew she needed, and she was intent on keeping him by her side from now until death. 'What do you mean?' Whisperwisp had exhaled in confusion, her bright eyes large with worry and a hint of fear. 'He is a bastard child, and I will not have my daughter bare a bastard's young. I'm sure Selene had made a mistake. We will go to the Cardinal immediately!' Darkquill had declared, and the fear that was beginning to build in Whisperwisp trickled down her spine. She wanted to scream, she wanted to tell them no, because she knew what would happen if they were to question Selene. Whisperwisp, sadly, could not find her voice. She followed them in a daze as they went to the Cardinal. She watched through foggy lenses as they tried to reason with the Cardinal, as their shared voices began to become louder and louder, and then as insults flew - other clan members had begun to gather, watching the spectacle. Whisperwisp barely registered as Crookedsnout came up to her, and she was only brought from her fog as he nudged her shoulder gently. Suddenly everything was clear - so painfully clear, and at the wrong moment. Darkquill had turned and saw Crookedsnout comforting Whisperwisp, and with uncontrollable fury, he had launched himself at her mate and snapped his teeth around his throat. Crookedsnout was tiny compared to Darkquill, and frail, and so his throat was crushed by the strength of Darkquill's jaws. In that moment, Whisperwisp felt her entire world collapse. She fell back into the fog, deeper this time, and she couldn't comprehend what was going on as Darkquill was pulled from Crookedsnout's body, as the Cardinal had declared that Darkquill and Ivyswirl would be sent to their deaths due to the atrocity they had conspired and committed. She couldn't even make out the figures before her as her parents were slain. The happiness Whisperwisp had finally experienced was so fleeting, yet so vibrant and beautiful and good, that it felt as if a big hole had been punched into her chest once that happiness was ripped away. Her mate, her moment of happiness, dead. Her father, the murderer, dead. Her mother, whom really did no wrong other than accuse Selene of making a mistake, dead. Whisperwisp died that night as well - not physically, but spiritually. She numbed herself to the outside world and dedicated her entire being to Selene. She sought repentance for the grief her parents had caused, and she sought comfort for the loss of her soulmate. Whisperwisp was quiet still, but now she was a different kind of quiet - the quiet that was deafening to anyone near her. The aura that Whisperwisp had surrounded herself with wasn't one of sadness or anger, as one would suspect, but it was one of an abyss. Cold, unfeeling, black. Though her beauty remained, no one gawked at her anymore, or admired her from a distance; they paid extra attention to not pay attention to her, and to avoid her as much as possible. BIO:VELVET | "All of the witches and the demons better get out of my way." Glitter and ichor may not be the first things to come to mind when gazing upon the black velvet form of the witcher before you, but appearances are often misleading. You may have heard of the Saga of Caunardhon, a champion with a tongue as vicious and sharp as a python and a core capable of cultivating magic. Some look up to the great Caunardhon as a bridge between worlds, most regard him as a walking plague among them, capable of great evil with a will to watch the world burn. What do you see? Perhaps if you look close enough, you will see the pride that keeps his spine straight, the mirth that makes his cold golden eyes dance like flames, and the calculating tilt of his head. Perhaps you will see nothing, only feel his insightful, penetrating stare shed the layers of who you'd like to be and pierce the heart of who you are. Perhaps, in the end, who he is doesn't matter to you and he is nothing more than a passing flutter in the wind of your own story. Whatever you'd like to believe, whatever helps you sleep at night, know this: He is the cornerstone of your story, a horseman of the apocalypse. Wherever he travels, chaos accompanies, best friends in a world where the humane dies. "But I'm 6'3", baby, with boots on. If you think you can beat me, I'm nothing to walk on. It's all in the strut." Created through the strength of a desolate plea, he was brought into this world of decay and deceit by a mother who longed for another chance at a life she didn't deserve. This was made no more apparent than in her behavior toward her own child, he who she sought so passionately. In her realm where belief in a thing meant life for the thing itself, she bestowed upon her small son a cruel name, one of which, in her home where those who shared her faith thrived on the sacrifice and destruction of others, would be a life condemned before it had even been lived: Zestal Enam VI. There was no basis for such a name; while vastly creative, it left a scar on his being before he had opened his eyes. Evil incarnate, those she considered her friends and family whispered. Beautiful vengeance, she breathed through tears in the night when all was still. For, beyond everything, he was her vengeful angel, trained from birth for war. "I'm not the kind of guy who'll kiss the crown, kiss the crown, but I can't deny the high so hear me out." In spite of his preordained role, Zestal reversed his mother's self-told prophecy against her. Rather than wield fang and claw against those who'd done her wrong, Zestal spent his time mastering the art of the arcane. Though as a young soul he longed only to use his knowledge for the enlightenment of others and ameliorate the plagued, encounters lost to time altered this viewpoint, manifesting the strange and disturbing - though charismatic and facetious - warlock encountered today. Still, though shrouded in mystery, some speculate there is a part of him, deeply embedded in his core, that longs for a life outside of the world he's created for himself. Whether that's true to the reality or not, you'll have to discover for yourself. "Sick of the game, never holding on to what I start. Hell of a shame, I almost got the life I want."
Marvelstar: The more resistant someone is to interacting with him, the more inclined he is to make an impression that'll stick. Zestal loves a challenge in any form it comes in, Marvelstar would be no different. Don't take his incessant teasing, flirting and playful banter at face value, though. If Marvelstar was to say anything that would set him off, he wouldn't bat an eyelash before herding her back to her place.
Monkeymask: Zestal would have the time of his life with Monkeymask. Whether he actually wanted it or not is an entirely different story and one Zestal doesn't like to let in the light. If there was a mischievous companion in the clan he would seek out, it would be the deputy. His dry humor, wit, and more than likely ability to be frank and upfront with Zestal would be instant attractors for the glitter-cloaked tom. BFFL c;
Cinerealpaw: First off, Zestal would be enthralled to learn how to actually pronounce his name. Secondly, even after learning how to pronounce his name, he would have endless fun coming up with different ways to say it, just to get a rise out of the tom. Despite his near constant playful teasing towards him, Cinereal's struggle with migraines due to his gift and difficulty folding himself into clan life because of it would have him endeared to Zes. He may or may not take Cinereal on as an adopted son. It wouldn't really matter if he said yes or no, because in Zestal's mind, he is baby now.
USERNAME: AtomHeart POSITION YOUR TRYING FOR: Acolyte CHARACTER NAME: Boysenberrykit (bite) BIO: (Will probably get a rewrite) A very angular looking cat with a sharp attitude to match. Boysenberrybite is well aware of who his family is and has mixed feelings about it. On one hand it is a powerful legacy that can be used for his advantage, on the other hand it is full of twisted killers with terrible secrets. He has not quite figured out how he wants to use it yet. Regardless he is a stunning cat with lilac fur spotted and swirled with silver and cream. Bright almond shaped eyes are a beautiful green, reminiscent of Bloodystar’s, his father. Boysenberry is a chatty, gossipy cat who does love a good rumor. There is very little that goes on around him that he doesn't know about. Marvelstar: His aunt that he really did not know of until he joined MoonClan. Now he treated her like an adoptive parent regardless of how she feels about him. Marvelstar is his only connection to the rest of his family because he was basically disowned when he joined MoonClan. They probably would have arguments as both seem very strong willed, though Boysenberry would be the one to give in.
Monkeymask: Boysenberry would pester Monkeymask to no end as he loves gossip and this tom holds a lot of secrets. If Monkeymask tells him anything is up to him, but Boysenberry would not go away. Not to mention the edgy mysteriousness would attract him as he is just a simply gay baby. Probably would end up being smacked and/or chased away from him.
Cinerealpaw: A little bit boring at first, Boysenberry would only be interested after he learned of Cinerealpaw’s abilities. Probably would ask him to tell him secrets that others don’t know, not really understanding how Cinereal’s gift works. Would likely develop a decent friendship if Cinereal can explain how his abilities work and Boysenberry believes him.
