Darkdusk's blue eyes fell on her kittens and she smiled softly as they played. Being a mother wasn't something she really saw in her future, but she wouldn't trade these bundles of fun for the world. It was a job she wasn't prepared for, that's for sure. Every day she felt like one of them was getting under the clan's paws and finding themselves into trouble. If she blinked, they were eating death berries or something.
"I know the feeling" Marvelcanvas purred coming over to sit by the other queen, recognizing the worry in her eyes. Her own kits looked little more than shadows as they played. Runningkit and Nocturnekit were playfully scuffling in the dirt with one another. "I hate having to leave the camp longer than I have to, Selene knows Ryn doesn't pay close enough attention to our three" she rolled her eyes remembering the last time she'd left her mate in charge of their kits.

Darkdusk blinked gratefully at the cardinal's company. She knew it was probably difficult fitting into a clan that you just got thrown, essentially, but she admired the grace Marvelcanvas held herself with. "Oh, I know. They're such busy bodies at this age! I'm grateful that the warriors have been so kind despite the occasional pranks and attacks from little paws."
"And prone to trouble" the cardinal purred. "I swear it feels like I can blink and the three of them are just gone" she sighed. "I don't think I'd trade it for anything though." It was true her and Ryn's relationship had a very rocky start but deep down she did love her mate, even if she just wanted to strangle him at times. "They'll make fine warriors one day." she commented eyeing Darkdusk's kits thoughtfully.

Darkdusk warmed at the cardinal's words. Her eyes flicked to Featherkit. He looked the most like Riverwolf--or Rasalas-- her father. She knew that the others stared at him sideways, along with her other kits. It was nice to know that Marvelcanvas thought kindly of them. "Thank you. You don't know how much that means to me. They are strong-willed, but kind kits. I hope they make the clan proud in the future."
