Life had been straight chaos since the moment he joined the clan. It was irony in it's most mischievous form, considering he joined Moonclan because it seemed the least amount of dramatic compared to the others. Perhaps it still was even after everything they had been through. The archbishop snickered at the idea and continued to watch the clan build their temporary camp below. Subaru's long tail hung over the tree branch he was perched on and his paws sat lazily crossed in front of him. Don't be mistaken, he had been working alongside his clanmates all morning and he was plum exhausted, so he felt the break was earned.
"Hey, how'd you get up there?" Nocturnekit mewed up at the Archbishop. The black bengal kitten was standing with his forepaws on the base of the tree, his neck craned back as he tried to look up at the black and white tom. "Is it because you're part monkey? I heard Marvelcanvas call you a monkey." he rambled, not giving the warrior a chance to answer his first question. "Will you teach me how to climb like you?"

Subaru shook his head. Of course he heard Marvelcanvas say that. That was honestly starting become his new name around camp. Either way, he didn't really mind. They were still alive thanks to their new leader and no thanks to that rat-furred tom from before. "Ah, how did I get up here you ask? See, that is a secret that only the monkey warriors get to know once they are older. Tell me, are you interested in being a monkey warrior one day?"
"I don't think I can, I'm not a monkey." the tom kit responded with just a hint of disappointment in his tone. A frown settling on his lips. "But I still want to learn how to climb!" he insisted. All this talk of monkeys had almost made him forget his original question. With a determined look on his face the bengal kit unsheathed his tiny claws and launched himself at the tree trunk, latching on to it, barely an inch off the ground.

Subaru chuckled, admiring the kit’s ambition. “Are you sure you aren’t part monkey?” He gave a smirk then pointed with his tail to a dip in the bark of the tree. “Put your paw there.”
