Ashfall tracked the fox trail all the way to the border but never saw it. The last thing they really needed to deal with was a fox but there was no way she could pick up it's scent again after the recent rains. "Great." She huffed and halted by the scent markers, staring over the edge just in case she could somehow spot it.
"Hey sis! Wait up!" Fierydaemon's voice came from behind, the pounding of paws heralding the ginger and black tortoiseshell catching up to her sister. "You weren't going to go fox hunting without me were you?" She asked straightening up and flashing her sister a wry smile.

Ashfall's ears flicked up at the sound of her sisters familiar voice and loud pawsteps. "Well, certainly not now considering whatever fox was there was probably scared off by your heavy paws." She responded coolly but finished the remark with a smirk.
