Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
After Turbulentsea, or Alabastor - It was hard to not call him the name she'd known him by since he'd been small and served her faithfully as NightClan's medicine cat. But it was a great relief that Burningsummer had been able to convince him to return to DayClan with her.
She let him take a few days to adapt to living in DayClan before she told him she wanted to talk to him, along with Soaringbird. As it was a private matter Burningsummer picked out a comfortable place a bit out from camp. Far enough it wouldn't be overheard by everyone. But open enough that Turbulentsea wouldn't feel pinned in.
Soaringbird sat beside her sister, kneading the ground with anxiety. She'd left her kits with Illuminatedpath who was watching over the nursery while she was out with Burningsummer to talk to Turbulentsea.
Now there was nothing left but to wait for Turbulentsea to arrive.

Even surrounded by the warmth and light of DayClan, it had done little to change the grumpy cat who had once served as a medicine cat. If anything it only served to make him look even more sullen, like a dark storm cloud on a sunny day. He rarely spoke since coming to DayClan, spending much of his time alone and withdrawn. The reality of everything that had happened weighing heavily upon his shoulders, especially Creampuff...
He wanted to be happy for her, to rejoice in the fact that she had found someone who could love her the way that she deserved. Someone who could lover her the way that he should have. Yet all he felt was bitterness, a burning desire to march back to NightClan and do what ever it took to win her back no matter the cost to himself. To put Bloodystar through the same nightmare he had been thrust into. His claws dug into the earth as he walked towards where he was meant to meet Soaringbird and Burningsummer, trying to ease some of the tension from his thin lanky body before they spoke.
Finally emerging in the clearing he looked between the two she-cats before settling down into a sitting position. Unsure of even where to begin.... So much had happened since the last time he had saw either of them. He had failed to keep his promised to Burningstar... Gotten Soaringstar demoted and exiled... But he wouldn't run from his problems anymore, there was no where left to go
Soaringbird frowned softly when he simply sat down before them and said nothing. She cast a look at Burningsummer, who waited a moment before speaking.
"I'm glad you agreed to come," Burningsummer said softly. "Much has happened over the past few seasons, even more so these past few days." She added gaze lowering to the ground at the thought of Glowstar's death.
"But I never got the chance to tell you back then," Burningsummer continued. "So it's very late, but I wanted to thank you for saving my life." She said. "Had Ericanorth been left to attack me repeatedly back when the Shadow Era was rising up, I could very well be too badly hurt to fully recover. I'm extremely grateful."

"One good deed doesn't a good soul make... I don't deserve your thanks, I was only doing my duty for you will always be NightClan's rightful leader in my heart" he murmured, his yellow eyes falling to the ground "but I'm glad that you are alive" and he meant it. Of all that cats he had encountered, he had no doubts about Burningsummer. She always seemed to know what to do, the right words to say. She was loyal and strong, everything he had hoped he would be, but wasn't. No he couldn't even hold a ember to her flame of passion. If only she had never left NightClan to go to SunClan, or if she hadn't gone into labor... If only had fought harder not to let Flamingstar take over... So many if onlys and regrets.
"I'm glad that you both asked me here, for I did have something that I needed to speak to you both about" his eyes never left the ground as he spoke, knowing that they were not going to like what he had to say
Burningsummer and Soaringbird shared alarmed looks.
Burningsummer recovered first. "I am a bit surprised to hear that I admit," She meowed. "Where are you planning on going?" She asked.
"If you want to go back to NightClan and reclaim your rightful spot as medicine cat, we could go with you," Soaringbird offered quickly. Burningsummer shooting her a look. "Er... in a few moons or so." She corrected. She had kits to feed and Burningsummer was expecting kits.
"I wouldn't recommend going back to NightClan or SunClan. The mess in NightClan is not on you, I should've never left Flamingstar with such an easy path to leadership." Burningsummer meowed.
The ginger she cat frowned softly. "Has someone said something to make you uncomfortable?" She asked seriously. She wasn't leader of DayClan but she was an Immortal Council, and if someone was troubling Turbulentsea she'd give them an earful.

He shook his head slowly, ears falling backwards "No, I intend to leave the clans all behind to live on my own, so this may be the last time our paths cross"
Alabaster tried to speak with confidence, but they would hear the unmistakable quiver in his voice. The look of despair he was so desperately trying to hide from them behind his assertive statement. But truly there was nothing left for him here, no reason to stay. The memories to painful, his heart aching from rejection after rejection. His position of medicine cat stripped away, his connection to StarClan lost. His leader forced into another clan, the only girl he had ever loved with another tom. Returning to NightClan no longer a viable option, and SunClan even less so.
He had been so sure that it was the right thing to do, yet the look in their eyes enough to give him pause.
Soaringbird's ears lowered. "But... why?" She whispered.
Burningsummer though could see the look in his eyes. She recognized it. It was something she'd struggled with while in SunClan at times. Despair.
"Turbulentsea, the last thing you should do is be alone." Burningsummer said softly. "I know I let you down as your leader, but I ask that in respect for our previous time working together as leader and medicine cat... you consider my words."
She moved forward, "You followed a similar path as I did, from NightClan, to SunClan, and now you have arrived in DayClan. This is a place where you can take some time to not be alone." She said softly. "You're hurting, it's plain to see the pain in your eyes. That is not something any cat should have to endure on your own so I urge you to consider staying here. Give yourself some time to recover. For the last thing you need is to be alone. Take it from a cat who felt that agony many many, seasons ago."

Alabaster took in a deep breathe, why had he thought this conversation was going to be easy?
"The better question would be why would I stay?" he paused still mulling over the leader's words "You assume I am leaving because of guilt or that I am hurting, which is in part true" his eyes lifting to meet theirs "but there is more to it than that. If I stay what would be my purpose here?" he questioned, leaving it open ended "I could become another warrior, but with my health I would be nearly useless in any sort of conflict. I would become a liability. A medicine cat? DayClan already has to many medicine cats as it is, and even if I got the title StarClan have turned their backs on my for what I have done"
"If I leave, I can become something more than that. I can follow what lies within my heart with no restrictions. Help those that need me most without worrying about clan politics" he paused "so tell me again, why should I stay?"
"Because right now what you need is to heal that hurt," Burningsummer said softly. "The worst thing you can do is be alone. And if anything DayClan is the clan for you to have a support network and still pursue that ability to help all."
She flicked her tail. "I do not believe StarClan has turned their backs on you." She added. "You may have made mistakes but losing your title had more to do with politics than you being unworthy."
"There are more paths for you here than you might think Turbulentsea, you don't need to be just another warrior, there are plenty of jobs you could be well suited for." Burningsummer said. "And Glowstar doesn't impose the same restrictions on us like Flamingstar or SunClan had." Her whiskers twitched. "Her own children have paws in multiple groups, she'd be a hypocrite to deny you a home in DayClan while you may go elsewhere to help those who need you."
"But that's what we want to make sure you have," Soaringbird said. "A home." She urged. "A place with cats that support you and can help you... and.. though it's been many moons, we still want to see you happy and healthy."
"In the end its up to you." Burningsummer continued. "But leaffall is upon us and leafbare drawing near, being on your own isn't easy."
Soaringbird shook her head. "It really isn't."
"Which is why we're recommending you stay. Give yourself some time to heal with support, and then, if you feel DayClan still isn't for you, you can go on your way when newleaf comes." Burningsummer said.

"StarClan no longer speak to me... Even when I go to holy sites, to seek their guidance I am ignored. When I close my eye expecting to speak with them I'm greeted by cold silence" he had tried not to allow it to bother, but clearly it had been weighing heavily up on his shoulders
"By staying here all I will do is bring down StarClan fury upon DayClan, its something I can not risk. Until I can find our why they have turned their backs on me, I am nothing but a liability to those that harbor me" he closed his eyes taking a moment to take in a deep breathe "Could you stay knowing that?"
Burningsummer frowned softly. "You won't be a liability." She meowed. "IF you're still unsure we can seek out Autumngossamer and speak with her about your concerns. But if you leave how will you figure out what's wrong with StarClan? StarClan's reach is far true, but would it not be easier to figure out what's wrong while in the clans?" She suggested.
"If there is any trouble from StarClan, I will shoulder the burden." Burningsummer meowed. "After all it was my failings as your leader that brought you such difficulties, it's only fair I stand with you during the trials ahead. At least until you've determined for sure the path you wish to take."
