Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Lotusswirl blinked as he padded to the entrance of the apprentice den. He looked a little tired, but that was simply because he had spent the entire night before hearing listening to his mother talk about all of the problems that she'd found in her old age. He didn't want to say that he minded his mother's chatter, but there was a part of him that didn't blame Peachstar for being rather put out with Sootcatalyst most of the time.
"Tundrapaw?" he meowed, trying to keep the tiredness from his voice. He'd promised the young cat that they would start training that day, and he didn't intend to break his promise.
Inside the apprentice den, Tundrapaw was just beginning to blink himself awake, as slow to wake as ever. "Uhm..." he murmured, rising on unsteady paws. "Yyyyyeargh. Yep, I'm awake. Deeeefinitely ready for training..." He'd had very little interaction with most of SpringClan's warriors beside his own mother, and even she had been largely absent. What kind of cat was Lotusswirl, he wondered? Was he the type to get annoyed that his apprentice wasn't bright-eyed and bushy-tailed first thing in the morning, or was he kind of a sloth, like himself? Unsurprisingly for Tundrapaw, he hadn't noticed the tiredness in his mentor's voice.
He stifled a yawn as he padded outside, then tried to poorly mask it with a fake cough. "So, uh, what's first on the agenda, boss?"
His lips twitched in amusement. Tundrapaw didn't look much more awake than he did, which was sort of reassuring to him. They could suffer through an early morning together, he thought to himself with a twinkle in his eye. Perhaps, tomorrow they could start a little later.
"I haven't uh done this before," he meowed with a flick of his tail, "so honestly, I'm not exactly sure how it's supposed to go. Have you seen the whole territory, yet? If not, that would be a pretty good spot to start, more than likely. Then we can work on some basic skills, hmm?" The tom looked a little less than convinced at his plan, but what could he say? Lotusswirl wasn't the kind of cat who often planned things too far in advance.
Tundrapaw's began to slowly widen. "I've seen nothing..." he murmured, in the tone of someone who was currently in the process of having a life-shattering epiphany. "My life up until this point has been empty." His eyes darted around the camp, before finally settling back onto Lotusswirl. "...Um, I think I'll take that tour of the territory..."
