Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(After settling into her role of leadership, Jetstar gathers her trusted, warriors, queens and medicine cat to discuss the future for SpringClan)
Jetstar had tasked the apprentices with watching the kits while she gathered the older cats to discuss SpringClan's future.
"I have spent the past half moon settling into my duties," Jetstar meowed. "And we've been blessed with new additions as well as plenty of prey, so I wanted to begin discussing what you wished to do for the future?" She glanced around.
"After spending some time with our allies in SummerClan, I've noticed that there is a separation between Warriors and Garden Keepers. And I know in DayClan they have different jobs for their cats. I do not know if I am keen to divide our warriors into two categories, and I think I would like the idea of having multiple jobs that cats can do." Jetstar meowed. "But I would like to put it to you all, as it is you all who would be either divided into two categories or taking up different specialties."
"Then I would also like to discuss what we wish to do about our neighbors. I am familiar with you having enjoyed a long friendship with SummerClan, and I intend to visit FallClan soon to broach the topic with maintaining peaceful ties with them as well."
Jetstar's expression became serious. "But that leaves WinterClan, a neighbor that we share a river border with." She meowed. "I have heard mostly negative responses about them and thus I wanted to discuss training plans. I do not think PI will make another attempt, I do think WinterClan could be a possibility. But if you would like us to try and see if we can create peaceful ties like we've done with the other two, I would be willing to explore that option."
"But the purpose of this meeting is for us to begin planning SpringClan's future. So I leave the floor to the rest of you."

Maskedpaw huffed as he sat in the kit clearing with the other apprentices. They were stuck babysitting while all the adults went and made big plans for SpringClan without them! It was so unfair! They should be in there helping and making big plans too!
"This is mousedung." He grumbled to the cat closest to him.
(Anyone can reply! I just wanted to rp Jetstar holding a sort of Meeting with everyone to plan out SpringClan's future! And of course there's the apprentices and kits who can get into mischief while the adults are all discussing XP Or even crash the meeting!
@ maskedpaw "Tell me about it," Coralkit huffed. It didn't occur to her that maybe Maskedpaw was annoyed about having to babysit her, and not automatically on her side. "I bet they're talking about us, too. About how much they hate us. Or hate me, specifically. Not that it bothers me. I could care less." She slumped down onto the ground, limbs splayed out wildly in ever direction. "...Doesn't it just wanna make you do something about it?"

Goldengriffon sat awkwardly amongst the rest of the cats, not quite yet used to his role of deputy. He thought he was doing a good job thus far. The clan hadn't fallen apart yet, and Jetstar seemed to be getting the hang of things as well. Summerclan and Fallclan wouldn't be an issue. They never have been really. Summerclan was a close ally and Fallclan... well Fallclan seemed to do what they wanted so long as it followed the rules.
"Winterclan is as harsh as the snowy terrain they live upon." The pale tabby said, gently scratching his chin as his tail twitched slightly. "They're a proud clan... very religious, especially when it comes to their god. Overly zealous, and very much a clan that values pure-bloodied cats above all else. It would be best not to tempt their ire, but I do not think they'd be so ambitious as to launch an attack on Springclan... but I think it would not be a bad idea to spend a bit more time focusing on training our apprentices different fighting strategies."
Scowling, the dark-coated tomcat hung at the back of the group of apprentices and glared over the gathered kittens. The prickly tom didn't get along with his denmates, mostly because of his own fault, but he wasn't going to challenge a direct order from his leader. His fierce gaze swept over the group as their reluctant protector.
"If it's any consolation, we can talk about how much we hate you, too," Ravenpaw growled at Coralkit.

Cinderkit just sighed, watching the others from a distance. Her little spot in the wilting grass was warming up, and it let her rest her head on her paws. These other kits and apprentices knew nothing of hardship. It was paradise here compared to Home. She listened to Jetstar as any kit would, though the leader didn't hold as much authority in the kit's life as she could have thought. Not that Cinderkit think she did. She just wanted to lie under the radar for now.
"Whether or not we think Primal Instinct will attack again doesn't matter. We should be prepared," spoke one of Jetstar's Trusted, her voice lacking the typical Dancingdragon venom. She could be civil....sometimes; if she wanted to make a better impression on her clanmates, she would need to appear more diplomatic. "I agree with establishing a better training regimen so our apprentices can be prepared and to strengthen our warriors. A refresher course should be mandatory throughout the clan. As far as WinterClan goes, they've always been a solitary clan since Asterstar moved them further up the mountain. If you really want to try making peace with them, go for it-- but I wouldn't trust them." She bristled at the thought of their wintry rivals sitting on their frozen mountaintop, acting as if they ruled the whole damn thing. "What types of specialities did you have in mind? Perhaps we could form a better opinion of it if we knew that much," she sneered, though coughed as if to quickly cover up the jab.
A bit more demure than usual, her pelt particularly ruffled and eyes shooting toward Ravenpaw every other moment, Raggedkit piped a defensive, "I don't hate you, Coralkit. You're my best friend. I know I don't tell you that very often." Except she did. All the time. There was scarcely any days where she didn't remind the ginger splashed kit of her endless devotion and friendship.
Dancingdragon, another Trusted, had spoken up before Harewhisker could. She didn't know this cat yet and therefore was remaining silent, watching what her fellow clanmate would say. "I agree that a training regimen would be beneficial. I worry that some apprentices may lack skills depending on their mentor." Honestly, that included Harewhisker, but she kept that to herself. woofJetclaw
Jetstar hummed, "DayClan has several different jobs. They have cats tasked with care of the kits, and with Softpelt's recent requests to make a play area for the kits." 'And considering how mischievous a certain trio of kits is' "I think that could be a job. Along with a group of cats to maintain the gardens. I was fortunate to sit on a very informative lesson by Honeycream to some of the apprentices where he warned them of some dangerous flowers they needed to avoid. Something that I wasn't even aware of, I know not what their title would be but some cats responsible for the care and keeping of our plants. Along with plant knowledge beyond herbs used by the medicine cats could be useful."
"So a role like the garden keepers?" Pumpkinking asked tilting his head.
Jetstar huffed. "Yes, yes I suppose they'll be SpringClan's version of Garden Keepers, though it would just be a specified job for them rather than their whole role."
"But those are the two examples that came to mind... oh I suppose we could use some historians. We have a lack of elders in our clan, so having those tasked with keeping the history of our clan would be useful." Jetstar mused nodding to herself. "Perhaps even a group of cats denoted by their great skill who can be tasked with being the first response to dangerous threats like foxes, badgers, or the like."
"It sounds like a training regiment is also something others agree with." Cardinalsong noted, glancing around. "Who would head that?"
"Well if we do go the route of adding specified jobs, whoever is skilled in certain departments. In fact perhaps that can be how we introduce the new jobs to our apprentices!" Jetstar meowed. "By having those in the new jobs tasked with teaching our apprentices about their job!"

Maskedpaw rolled his eye at Ravenpaw's comment. "What else is there to talk about?" He asked. "They're kits, they like to get into trouble, that's a given." He grumped. "I wanted to see if Honeycream would finally teach me some fighting moves."
Though his mentor had looked extremely disturbed every time Maskedpaw asked about fighting moves or hunting, but the apprentice hadn't paid much mind to it.
"But now the question remains, how do we find out who is skilled in what department." Goldengriffon mused as he stroked his chin. His blue eyes narrowed as his mind raced, thinking of different possibilities.
"Perhaps we can make a game out of it. A celebration of sorts." He suggested. "We can have different categories that apprentices and warriors alike can participate. Jetstar, myself, and a few others can create a panel of judges to determine such skills"
