Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Once again Jetstar spent another sunset patrolling along SpringClan's border with the mountain. Her gaze drifting every so often to the mountain path, her mind wandering to the clans beyond the tall peaks.
She let out a sigh and shook her head resuming her walk. She had duties to fulfill here before she could leave again, and with SunClan having burned. Her having spooked Bloodycrow out of his fur after receiving her lives, there was little she could think of to try at this moment. She wasn't confident in her ability to handle going to the Forest Clans alone to search for her brother and sister in law.
In hindsight, perhaps she had been too rash in simply striking at Bloodycrow. But despite that thought passing her mind, she couldn't stop the dark smile that crossed her face as she recalled the momentary horror she inflicted upon him.
On the very mountain path Skipstep winced as another stone dug into his side. "You know, I could just walk at this point." He said craning his head to look at Senescence. "Or is dragging just a new form of torture?" He asked. "If it is I don't know why you'd bother with me. Littlestar is imprisoned in some isolated hole somewhere, and you already took my sister from me. So if you're going to reunite me with her. Then just do it already." He said. "Dragging me to death is taking forever for the both of us."

It was almost funny how Skipstep came to the right conclusion, but yet had the entirely wrong idea. Still, Senescence dropped him to the ground without warning, and took a slight step back, waving her paw forward. "Walk then." The League Proxy stated bluntly, "You will meet your sister soon enough." She didn't elaborate to explain that she wasn't actually killing him, but even if that was what he assumed, he didn't have any way to avoid it. Sen was extremely tall and muscular, and honestly, dragging him this far had probably been significantly easier than him walking, given her longer strides and seemingly tireless energy, even when carrying his dead weight. Maybe she was good at hiding her tiredness, or maybe she was just that used to carrying bodies, either way, Skipstep was most likely smart enough to not test that theory.
Skipstep grunted as he dropped to the ground. He took a moment to get his paws under him and shook his fur out. He considered her a moment, before he began walking along the path.
He didn't understand why they were going this way. This wasn't towards the league. This was in the direction of the Mountain Clans.
Perhaps she intended to drop him on WinterClan's border and kill him there to cause mass confusion of who was responsible for the murder. It would certainly be confusing.
His whiskers twitched in the dark humor of the thought, if he died who would care? Would DayClan's ire towards WinterClan be further raised since he'd been rescued by them? Or would they simply shrug it off, one less SunClan cat to deal with. Even though Skipstep had been hurt drastically by Bloodyrondo's actions.
He pushed thoughts from his mind. Trying to understand his kidnappers motives was pointless. What he needed to do was be ready for her moment to strike. If she wanted them to keep walking then they'd keep walking. At least on his paws he could pull off an escape attempt a lot easier, and the longer they walked well hopefully the more likely Senescence would be tired when she decided to make a move.
"Where are we going anyway?" Skipstep asked tail lashing as they crested the height of the path they were on, the path now sloping downwards and revealing the mountain territories beyond. Particularly the lush lands of SpringClan even in the nearing leafbare.

"You have eyes. Where do you think we're going? We're almost there anyway, so now's your last chance if you think you're able to run. Maybe you'll be a more interesting opponent than your sister was." At this point, though her voice was bored, and her expression just the same, it was fairly obvious Senescence was egging the tom on intentionally. After all, there was basically no reason to bring such things up if not to either make him angry, or break him down. Either way, she seemed to have a sick sense of humor, if she was indeed amused by her own statement. It was pretty much impossible to tell what Sen was thinking unless you knew her exceptionally well.
She watched SpringClan near as she waited for Skipstep to make a move. "Time's ticking. You can meet your sister the easy way, or the hard way."
Skipstep's ears flattened at her statement, but he turned towards the approaching SpringClan territory. If he bolted now he could get there first and at least have them help slow Senescence down from killing him. That was if he got that far.
He turned back to look at her, and then he bolted, head whipping to face forward once more. He hoped his sudden surge would be enough to catch the terrifying cat flat footed.
But as he ran, the effects of having been trapped in prison for several moons caught up to him. He could feel a painful cramp coming on, but desperation forced him through it. He had to keep going! Or at least collapse on the other side of the border.
He could see the border, he whipped his head back to look and see if Senescence was catching up-
When he collided with someone and the cat let out a screech.
Skipstep barely had a chance to turn around to see what he'd hit, when teeth met his shoulder and he was dragged to the ground. He lay there stunned a moment, paws curling up to his chest ready to protect his belly.
The at released his shoulder, and straightened up letting out a scoff, looming over him.
"Just who do you think you are-" The voice trailed off as she recognized him, "Skipstep?" She said.
Skipstep must've hit his head on a rock while Senescence had been dragging him. Because looking down at him with sharp blue eyes, was his sister. He gaped at her. "Jetclaw?" He breathed. "You're not dead?"

Senescence could have rushed after him, but since he conveniently went in the exact direction she needed him to, not that he could have really gone any way else, she settled for keeping him just within her sight as she raced after him, rather than catch up. It was almost amusing that he managed to run directly into the very cat she was looking for.
"Jetstar, actually." The Proxy corrected as she finally trotted up to the pair who were staring at each other, spoiling the big news of the situation rather casually. "I told you we were going to meet your sister. Not my fault you presumed that meant dying."
Skipstep looked up at Senescence and blinked owlishly at his sister who stepped off him. "Jetstar?" He repeated scrambling back onto his paws.
"Yes, I've become leader of SpringClan, you missed quite a lot," Jetstar said, so many emotions crossing her face. "It's kind of funny actually you see-"
Skipstep stepped forward and pressed into his sister, breathing in her scent. Different now, no longer SunClan's, and her pelt was no longer decorated with SunClan's paint. But still very much his sister. "I thought you were dead! I saw-"
"Yeah Senescence just sat on me again," Jetstar said pulling back, casting a fond look over at the proxy. "It's thanks to her I survived. With Bloodycrow thinking I had died, she was able to take me to the league... which turned out to be perfect timing because as I was recovering there, SpringClan attacked. They saw me in prison assumed I was in need of help so they broke me out, and while I was recovering here... well Thistlestar was no longer able to lead so apparently StarClan decided I should lead."
Skipstep let out a startled laugh. "Of course your path to leadership would be complicated." He said.
Jetstar shrugged. "It's not the well maintained army of SunClan," She admitted. "But leading them gave me nine lives, and I hope in time I can get them to where I need them."
Jetstar shook her head. "But enough about me! You- you're alive! Have you gotten Littlestar?"
Skipstep's face fell and his ears drooped. "Bloody put her somewhere else," He meowed mournfully. "I had to get Brilliantbeacon and Singedwolf to safety along with as many of my children as I could that were in those prisons with me." He shook his head. "I've been in DayClan since they attacked SunClan."
Jetstar's expression grew grim. "Were you able to get all your kits out?"
Skipstep shook his head. "Littlestar and my youngest litter, Bloody took them. Ripped them right from me." His ears flattened, grief as the moment played out once more. "I haven't seen them since he took them. I haven't seen Jetfire since Bloody took her as his mate, and then he took Goldengrace, Fernskip, Lionpride, Sunnysmiles and a few others."
Jetstar grimaced. "There is much we need to talk about." She meowed she glanced past him to Senescence. "I imagine after that journey the both of you are tired, there's a clearing nearby for you to rest your paws and I can dig up a rabbit I'd caught for the three of us to share."
It would be far enough away none of her clan would note her absence just yet, and none would realize their unexpected guests until the scents had long faded.
