Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Forsworn sat off to the side of the temporary camp, licking his pelt. Most of his wounds were already healing with the exception of his shoulder that he had dislocated and some singed fur on his rear. Luckily the burns were barely there it was really just fur that had bee burnt but it bothered him. The ginger tom was used to looking sleek and shiny, a hold over from when he was growing up in WaterClan. A little part of him feared that he might have to find a new home. It had been hard enough for him to settle into SunClan. If he was being honest he didn’t exactly believe in the Sun God, he was more of a traditional StarClan cat. Of course he would never say that out loud.
After all SunClan was where he had a lot of half siblings. Family had become a touchy subject for him the last few days, he had been rattled after facing his mother, Foxbane, in battle. Forsworn realized she did not have the least bit of affection for him. That lead to the realization that he have very few of any relations with his family in the clan. He had basically cut off all ties outside the clan in an attempt to show loyalty. Now he was dreadfully lonely even if he was struggling to admit it to himself.
"Ah~ What a rat's nest this place is," Discordantmelody had been missing since the fire first took hold at SunClan's main camp. Some cats suspected that she had perished in the blaze but those who actually knew her knew better. She'd never go down so easily. Still, her absence and now sudden reappearance in SunClan's main forces begged the question: Where have you been all this time? She hoped no one asked.
"Forsworn, happy to see you are still alive and kicking. Still have all of your toes, even the bonus ones?" Discordantmelody didn't miss a beat as she circled around her elder half-brother, a bemused smile on her face. Unlike most of the other SunClan cats, there wasn't a single burn on her, her sleek mostly black pelt was absent of even the faintest singe marks, "Ya know, you've really surprised me. So many other cats would have taken the opportunity of the fire to slip away for good. Steepfall and Slaughterfish both are living it up in SwiftClan, after all, didn't you all make a promise about sticking together through thick and thin way back when?"
She seemed so seriously but started giggling almost immediate after asking her question, "I'm joking, just joking, don't report me to the authorities, I like keeping my head attached. But really, how are you doing?"
Forsworn was anything but surprised that his half sister disappeared during the fire only to show up later. It not only tracked with their mother’s behavior, but also Funks. Frankly this whole family was a mess, but at least if they did care it was a fierce love. He glanced over at his sister, she took more after her father or at least to him. But then again he had a nearly identical coat to his mother. Though his yellow green eyes were from his father. His polydactyl paws also came from his father and he lifted one paw up to wiggle at Discordantmelody. “Yes we did take an oath of sorts to stick together. Though I also took one to SunClan, I can’t leave SunClan right now.” Had the clan not been destroyed he would have thought about it. But now that was put off till the clan was rebuilt.
Leaning a little closer, he lower his voice a tad. “Also I’m not shamed to admit Bloodystar scares me a bit. I would put him past tracking down deserters or traitors.” It was a risky thing to say considering he was not positive on where his half sister stood on their new leader. He personally would like to have Littlestar back. Or, StarClan forbid, their mother and her manic mood changes.
"I'll let you in on a secret about big brother Bloodystar," Discordantmelody purred, leaning in uncomfortably close to Forsworn. The tips of there muzzles were inches away and her whiskers tickled his ears, "He won't track you down if he thinks you're still on your side. He's surprisingly easy to fool..."
She then brushed her face against Forsworns but kept going until she basically had her whole body on top of his, "Your fur is so soft and warm, I'm jealous," She giggled, burying her head into his soft stomach fur. She kneaded at it gently with only a little bit of claw, "If you want to live somewhere else, ask him about the Rays. I think it'll suit you well."
“Hmm I’ll think about that.” Forsworn didn’t want to say that he barely if at all believed in the Sun God. He was after all raised under StarClan and still believed in them. Of course he wouldn’t dare admit that, it would be treason deserving of death after all. This ginger tom after all liked living. He had a lot left to live for, mainly the fact that he wanted his own family yet.
He gently pushed Discordantmelody off of him, so she was just snuggled up against him. Forsworn believed her when she said that Bloodystar wouldn’t track him down if he left. Though he had other thoughts on why, mostly that the clan was hemorrhaging members and Bloodystar did not have enough loyal cats left to track everyone down.
