Littlecrow roamed the stone steps of the temple, having passed out while Innconcetta and Omega reset her ribs. It had been painful, but being here she couldn't feel that pain any longer. Though when she returned it would all come crashing back with a vengeance. This was her place of peace, able to get away from her trouble for a little while. The only thing that had kept her sane during her long isolation. Cats to speak to, things to do, and places to see. Mor importantly she had been studying hard, working to learn how to walk in the dreams of others outside the Temple of The Sun.
Taking in a deep breath, she sat down near the eternal flame, as hit began to twist and turn as shadow appeared within as a cat came through.
Since the Fire Nation invaded Littlecrow and Faithpaw hadn't seen each other at all. Since being imprisoned in NightClan she had largely fallen asleep in the day causing the two to miss one another completely. This particular time though Faithpaw was still adjusting to her new sleeping habits and decided to take a nap during the night. Flamingstar had told her that her purpose was to grow up to be a NightClan warrior, which confused her since Littlestar had told her that her purpose was far different than that. Normally following her heart told her where she needed to go. Like when Huntleigh told her to come with him she trusted him, but her heart knew she was happy in SunClan. But in NightClan it felt confusing, she still loved SunClan, but she also really liked Greypaw.
Waking up in the temple was a welcomed surprise, for the first time she realized she felt relief to find herself in it again. Maybe even though she was happy in NightClan, it wasn't going to bring her the same happiness she felt when she was in the temple. "Littlestar!" Faithpaw exclaimed when she spotted her, "It's so good to see you again, you wouldn't believe what happened."

Lost in her thoughts she didn't realize that the young apprentice had appeared until her name rang out across the stone. She turned her head, a warm purr rumbling in her throat "Faithpaw" she greeted warmly turning to face her. It had been a long time since the two of them had gotten to speak last, and she couldn't help but to be worried that something had happened to the you she-cat. "I'm glad to see you" she nosed her cheek gently as if she was greeting one of her own children
Her eyes shined staring into Littlestar's eyes, she always had a presence that made her feel like everything was going to be okay. Pressing her nose into hers she moved back with a mixed expression between serious concern and wonder. "All the clans attacked us, Primal Instinct, NightClan, DayClan, and a rogue gang. Even Renegade Regime! I saw Lionpride go to the front lines, I worried about him so I went after him, but I came face to face with Flamingstar." Her calico paw scraped the ground before returning eye contact, "I'm sorry, she was so much stronger than I was, she dragged me back to NightClan and I've been held there ever since. No one will tell me what happened to SunClan, I was taken at the start of the battle, I don't know what happened to the clan. All Flamingstar tells me is that I'll be a NightClan apprentice soon if I keep up with more chores."

So what they had told her was true... She didn't want to believe it, but even she could only deny it for so long. Littlestar took in a deep breathe, maintaining her composure "You shouldn't apologize for things that are beyond your control" she pressed her nose to the apprentice's forehead, giving her a comforting smile "You are still young, and there was nothing else you could have done given the situation. Your life is more important than continuing to fight is such overwhelming odds. A wise cat knows when to bide their time, saving their strength to fight another day"
As she spoke another figure had approached them, a large shaggy black tom with pale yellow eyes. The circular symbol upon their head glowing "Unfortunately, that time has come. Your clan needs you Faithpaw, you must go to them" his voice was dark and raspy, as if he had inhaled to much smoke "What remains of SunClan has taken up refuge in MoonClan's old territory, but they must return home. The longer they stay under the Moon Goddess' lights the fewer of the Sun God's chosen will return home as their internal flames begin to dwindle. You are the only one that can deliver this message and save your clan Faithpaw"
"Thank-you Littlestar," Faithpaw said, not knowing that Littlestar was speaking from experience. Her head turned to a new voice, he had an air of importance surrounding him, but his voice was outright startling. The hairs on her neck rose at the intrusion, but just as quickly laid flat once more, "Yes sir, I'll do the right thing." She said, bowing her head to him in respect, she never had any hesitation. From the mix of her father and mothers values she grew up wanting to serve others the best she could with kindness and respect. Fulfilling her destiny in order to help others was never going to be something in her nature that she could shy away from, but... She also imagined a life with Greypaw, he caught her every time she tried to escape, but lately she wanted him to catch her and never let go. Now that she would truly be leaving she was realizing she would never be able to say goodbye to the tom without him successfully stopping her.
Looking back at Littlestar she nodded her head, "I'll escape as soon as I can and head for MoonClan. If I can get Flamingstar to promote me tomorrow then I'll have more freedom to sneak off."

THe back tom nodded "SunClan's fate is in your paws"
Littlestar chewed on her bottom lip as the ancient spoke, part of he wanting to spare her "Faithpaw..." she didn't have a good feeling about this, as she rose her paw to gently touch her cheek "Please be careful..." knowing what was going on on made things even more clear. She had to escape, to return back to SunClan before it was to late. They needed their High Priestess more than ever, and she was stuck far away broken and beaten. With each day it was becoming harder and harder to keep from loosing it, the torture she was undergoing becoming more intense as her body began to slowly recover before being beaten back down "There is something that you should you know...." she paused closing her eyes for a moment "I have a feeling that what happens next isn't going to be pleasant for you, but help will be coming soon" she ruffled the fur on the apprentices head "Like you I only visit he temple in my dreams, my physical body is being kept far from SunClan. I will do whatever it takes to set myself free and join you as soon as I can. I believe that together we can free SunClan from Bloodyrondo's tyranny" she paused knowing that the apprentice probably didn't realize that she was a still living cat "You must be brave, there are many cats that I care about deeply still in SunClan... You included" she added with a small smile "Please take care of yourself, I wish I could take the burden of the quest you have been given onto my own shoulders. You are so young, and yet you didn't even hesitate to do what has been asked of you to save SunClan" their was nothing but love and respect in her gaze as she looked into her eyes "When I reclaim my position as High Priestess, I can think of no other cat that I would rather have at my side as Soothsayer Faithpaw, I want SunClan to change for the better"
Her heart was thumping loudly in her ears, the kind of loud that made her think everyone in the room could hear, when in reality it was just as silent as before. Her mouth felt dry, "What do you-" She licked her lips, don't say anything negative. She smiled, "What do you mean? I can do this," She said with relaxed playful grin, but in the backdrop of her eyes worry flickered. No surprise there, it was a lot to be asked to do. But Littlestar didn't know that the fear was of her.
Who was the bad guy? Her mind was racing faster than her heart. Littlestar wanted to end Bloodystar's tyranny, but was he evil, what did he do wrong? Her family moved out of the Regime to help him. And what did she know about Littlestar? Why had she trusted her so easily? What if she was using her to overthrow Bloodystar when he actually was a good person? She was getting flashbacks of stranger danger rules, that anyone who tells you not to tell your parents something are up to no good. Her throat literally felt like it was on fire last time she tried talking to an adult and that was as a punishment. That's not exactly a thing the good guys would do. She wanted to tear up, cuddle up to her mom and ask her for advice, but she couldn't do either. She had to put her faith somewhere. She could stay in NightClan, live a happy life with Greypaw and throw everything else out. She could return back home to her family and face any retaliation that came from the temple. Or she could take a chance and trust Littlestar despite every sketchy part about it.
"Would you lie to me, Littlestar?" Her wide eyes looked up at the priestess. She didn't know what, there was just something that tugged her into believing the temple, an explainable trust and a devoted love to Littlestar. She had always been kind, stared at with a genuine kind of compassion no one could fake. But a part of her wondered if she was being too naive in trusting Littlestar or the temple and now that feeling had risen completely to the surface.

The she-cat paused for a moment, looking down at the she-cat with a gentle smile. It was an odd question, but not completely out of place. She had just been asked to do something rather dangerous, and she had no reason to trust her or anyone at the temple really. They had never even met in person, and yet so far Faithpaw and placed her trust in Littlestar "Faithpaw... I wish I could say that I would never lie to you, but things are never quite that simple. In an ideal world, no I would not, but things in the ForestClans are not that easy and one day your life or SunClan may hang in the balance" she backed up a step giving the apprentice some space "but I can say that if I lie to you, that it will come from a place of love. Trying to protect you or those that I care for"
"Faithpaw... I am by no means perfect" she admitted, her tail curling over her paws "I have made mistakes, I have regrets" she stopped, letting her words sink in "I only want the chance to fix those mistakes...."
Littlestar could feel Faithpaw thump against her side in a loving embrace, "You're still plenty great though, even if you're not perfect," She said with a smile, her voice partially muffled by how close she sank her head into Littlestar, "And well- I like to think that a liar would have an immediate no answer using more emotional arguments and guilt tripping. So I'm going to follow my destiny with you for SunClan and we can both build the clan back up together."
Her cheeks were flushed with a rosy pink hue, worried that Littlestar would take the compliments as disingenuous. But her response didn't hold any hostility, maybe she was good at lying, but Faithpaw was certain she could trust the she-cat.
