Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Faithpaw was curled up into a ball inside the prison, her sleep cycle still didn't match the clans as it was well into the night, but she was sound asleep. Since being there she had been reported as becoming close with Greypaw, a good sign given Flamingstar's intent of bringing her to the clan. Other prison guards reported her as being extraordinarily polite and very modest, a rare trait for the usual elitist behaving clan. She helped out with chores, never afraid to ask for more work. Her only negative trait was her sleeping habits and continuously asking about her family, all expected given her roots.
The calico woke up on her own, her blue eyes staring out into the night. Looking at her pelt she felt a certain loss at seeing that there was nothing left of her paint, but chipped pieces of it still attached to her shoulder in flecks. Peaking her head through the darkness she tried to stay low to the ground to pass up the guards and hopefully enter camp. She had tried to sneak out a few times without an attempt to run away, so much as not be kept locked up indoors. Every SunClan cat was instilled with the fear of the night so despite a few opportunities she always felt too intimidated to consider running away.
Flamingstar entered the prisoner camp and made a beeline for Faithpaw. Her expression was unreadable and her eyes were hard but a slight smile could be seen just creeping at the corners of her mouth. "Faithpaw." She spoke once she reached the apprentice. "You have shown great reliability and promise. Nightclan could really use an app-...a warrior like yourself. Faithpaw, would you like to join Nightclan? If you do, you will no longer be an apprentice. You will be a full fledged warrior of Nightclan."
Faithpaw's ears perked up in alert seeing the leader of NightClan head straight toward her. She forced herself to stand in place, ignoring her instinct to flee. Flamingstar was her leader while she was in NightClan, she couldn't disrespect her by running off even if she was intimidating. "Hello Flamingstar," She greeted naturally with a smile, relieved to see that Flamingstar was smiling a bit too. "A warrior?" Faithpaw asked, echoing Flamingstar's words. She had heard rumors that she would be promoted soon, but she always thought that meant promoted to a member of NightClan, as in being an apprentice, not a warrior.
The apprentice dipped her head to Flamingstar, "Flamingstar, it would be my honor, I feel at peace in your clan," She rose her head quickly, "But I cannot ignore my destiny, I have had dreams since I first became an apprentice that I am meant to save SunClan. I have to go back home and complete that destiny even if my heart belongs-" Her mind filled with memories of Greypaw, tugging at her heart strings, "here."
Her paw moved along the line of her ear anxiously, "I've had to leave many things for destiny, even when I was in the Regime with my grandmother Shule, I had to leave for SunClan because destiny called my father. Now it's my turn to follow the call."
"Hm." Was Flamingstar's only response before taking a seat in front of Faithpaw. "I can understand needing to answer a calling. Maybe your meant to save Sunclan, maybe you aren't. If it is your destiny, it will find you. Do not push those you care about away, you will always regret it...take it from me. I always felt my destiny was to become leader. I fought to the top and didnt care who I hurt. Now, I'm alone. There are cats out there who want me dead and I have done unforgivable things to get where I am today. Follow your heart, Faithpaw, not your head. Your path will open up to you. If your meant to save Sunclan, then you will but embrace the presence of those around you...especially the ones you care about." She turned her head to peer out into the main cavern where she saw Greypaw before turning back to Faithpaw. "Though, if you must go, allow me to officially give you a warrior name. That way, you will always be welcomed in Nightclan and you will be more respected saving Sunclan as a warrior than an apprentice."
Faithpaw filled her lungs with air as she listened before slowly breathing out to keep herself calm. It was difficult rationally, but in her heart she knew she was doing what was right. After all she had to know the truth if her family was alright, even if it left her with a pit of dread. Her father was priest promise, it was entirely possible he could have been executed from his rank... And her mother was blind, she had to save her during the first raid. But she didn't let her mind hold onto any of those thoughts, she would face her emotions if those bad thoughts became reality.
Peering out from the cavern she could see where Flamingstar was looking, Greypaw was there. Her cheeks blushed with a shy smile, she knew about their closeness. She bowed deeply to the NightClan leader, "Thank-you Flamingstar, I'm very grateful to be able to return once my quest is complete. I'll never forget your generosity. I will accept my warrior name," She said, standing up straight once more.
