Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Firestorm caught sight of Flickerpaw being carried off by the large bird. The ginger tabby she-cat was small but she was very athletic, she quickly raced across the clearing and gave a massive leap catching the bird before it flew too high for her to grab. She almost immediately regretted her decision, realizing it may cause the hawk to drop Flickerpaw. If that was the case then Firestorm could only hope that Flickerpaw would remain unharmed.
The owl shrieked when Firestorm jumped on it, the bird falling from too much weight dropping Flickerpaw the apprentice falling to the ground crashing into a bush. The owl continued to dip lower from the weight of Firestorm on it.
Frozenfire immediately darted after them, paws pounding as she took a leap snagging onto one of the wings to drag it down towards land.
With the two she cats dragging it down the owl began to drop.
"Bite it's neck!" Viscariapaw called the little initiate poking his head out of the apprentices den cheering on the two warriors. "Turn it into prey!"
Firestorm hoped that Flickerpaw was unharmed and was relieved when Frozenfire leaped onto the owl as well. She heard Viscariapaw call out about biting the owl's neck. She thought for a few seconds before quickly glancing at the ground. They weren't too high up anymore and the risk of injury to her or Frozenfire was less likely. She quickly bit down on the owl's neck. The owl gave a surprised screech before beginning a quick fall towards the ground.
(sorry for taking so long wading through a lot of stuff to get started at my first real job with my degree! ) Frozenfire clawed out a few feathers, hissing as her belly dropped as they began to rush back towards the ground.
"Is it dead?" She demanded, hissing as some twigs on the branches whipped past her face as the owl crashed into a tree Frozenfire forced to release her hold and land on the ground, wincing as she landed a bit awkwardly her right foreleg screaming but the light gray she cat merely hissed at the pain already pushing herself upwards as the owl and Firestorm crashed into the ground.
(NP!! that's exciting!! Congrats!!! Honestly I haven't been on in a few days due to work and stuff and I'm still learning how to use Proboards lol )
The breath was knocked from her body as she hit the ground with the owl, but she leaped to her paws anyway. She definitely bruised some ribs and one of her paws ached but other than that the small ginger she-cat was thankfully unharmed. "I'm alright!" She called to Frozenfire. "Are you alright?" She asked.
(Same! The whole making a new page for the clan is making me go 0.0 thankfully faith offered to get me started so I'm not as terrified XP and so far I'm liking my new job)
Frozenfire nodded, "Just a bit bruised." She said though her right foreleg did throb a bit so she bent her head to lick it trying to see if that'd soothe the achy limb. "But look at that you brought down the owl," She said glaring at where the injured bird lay. Seeing it twitch Frozenfire's tail lashed and the gray tabby launched herself onto the bird sinking her teeth into its neck and biting hard. The owl gave a few more feeble twitches before going limp.
Viscariapaw went over to the bush where Flickerpaw had been dropped into and Flickerpaw shakily got out of the bush letting out a cry as he put weight on one of his forepaws. "My leg!" He cried.
"Keep your weight off it." A calm, baritone instructed the apprentice as Atlas appeared from the pathway that lead out of camp. He's only been a few foxlenghes from the entrance, returning with a patrol, when he'd head the alarm being raised. "I'll get fetch one of the medicine cat." Calm was all the tom radiated as he turned and hurried towards the den in question. However, he suspected they weren't in camp as they hadn't appeared with all the commotion.
Flickerpaw whimpered but did as Atlasrising told him, shifting to sit so he avoided putting any pressure on the injury.
Frozenfire seeing that Atlasrising was going to look for one of the medicine cats turned her attention to the owl. "I wonder if you can eat this thing?" She meowed thoughtfully. "Never eaten an owl before."
Burningstar came over to them, "Is everyone okay?" She asked concerned.
Firestorm glanced from the owl back to Frozenfire. "I think we can..." She replied thoughtfully. She glanced over at Burningstar when she heard the Clan leader approach and dipped her head respectfully. "I think so..." She answered. "I think Flickerpaw might have hurt his paw but nothing too serious."
Atlas had been correct, the medicine cat's weren't in their den. "Burningstar." He greeted, dipping his head as he returned to the scene. "Do you know where the medicine cats have gone?" He questioned, his head tilting ever so slightly to the side with the question.
( I'm not sure who rpers are or how to get their attention )
Firestorm turned her gaze onto Atlas, trying quickly to think of where the medicine cats had gone. "They might be out collecting herbs so they may be out for awhile," She responded, glancing between Flickerpaw and Atlas. "I don't think his leg is broken so he might be okay waiting for them in their den." She added.
(I will reach out to casper as she plays Coyoteloyalty though Primordialhaze has stepped down as Medicine cat apprentice. And hopefully we'll have a page soon! So you can see all the cats listed.)
Burningstar nodded to Firestorm, "Yes, I believe I saw Coyoteloyalty go out to collect herbs, Fernshadow." She meowed to the dust brown tabby she cat, who straightened up at the sound of her name. "Go see if you can find Coyoteloyalty."
Flickerpaw unsteadily got onto three legs. "Yeah... I think Firestorm's right... I'll be okay... on three legs." He said wincing whenever he put weight on his paw.
Burningstar frowned. "Atlasrising, can you assist Flickerpaw to the medicine cat den? Firestorm, Frozenfire you should probably go as well." She meowed.
The tom nodded, having already been moving to offer the apprentice a shoulder to lean on. And though the tom wasn't usually one to joke he did mutter quietly to Flickerpaw. "You now have the coolest story in the apprentice den you know, think of the possibilities." A sly grin spread across his face for a spit second before disappearing.
Firestorm dipped her head in response to Burningstar and turned to follow Atlasrising and Flickerpaw. She smirked to herself when she overheard Atlasrising tell Flickerpaw that he would have the coolest story to tell the other apprentices. "Atlasrising is right, all your denmates will be incredibly jealous." Firestorm chimed in, her whiskers twitching in amusement.
Flickerpaw leaned against Atlasrising for support glancing between him and Firestorm with big eyes. "You think so?" He asked a note of hope as they made their way towards the medicine cat den. "Do you guys have any stories like that?" He asked.
"Probably the coolest thing to happen to me was a dog chasing me up a tree." Atlas mewed, remembering that hot afternoon. "I stayed there all night until a warrior found me." His whiskered were twitching in amusement.
"Two-legs need to do a better job keeping their dogs under control!" Firestorm replied, remembering the only time she'd come into contact with a dog, it was a small one, but still dangerous nonetheless.
Flickerpaw shuddered, "Yeah dogs are big and scary, I'd never want to go against one of those. I probably would've done the same thing," He meowed to Atlasrising. "I think though the coolest thing though Firestorm is you brought down an owl! Not many cats can say that."
