Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. The air still stank of smoke, but as far as Assertivekit was concerned, that was normal. The kitten didn't find that fresh air that the adults spoke of smelled so great, wrinkling his nose distastefully as he woke up. His parents and siblings weren't nearby, most likely having woken up at a normal time instead of at noon, prompting him to cast lazy eyes around in search of something worthy enough for him to be interested in.
