Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Dottymask nodded to her demons while Sweetiepeach struggled for breath on the ground. The night was always going to end this way, but up until this very moment the clan sweetheart hadn’t suspected a thing. This all started when the two queens struck up a conversation. Sweetiepeach would soon be a warrior now that her kits would be becoming apprentices and Dottymask wanted to convince her to let one of her sons be arranged to one of her daughters. Sweetiepeach, being from DayClan, a culture surrounded by ideas such as freedom and peace wasn’t drawn to this idea, declining no matter how many times Dottymask pushed her.
WinterClan had far too many she-cats and not enough toms, which meant the competition was high. Her daughters were pureblood, all deserving of an upperclass mate. If she could score Fluffykit, Rosemarykit, Heavenlykit, or even Witheringkit a tom from Understar’s bloodline and Lionwhisper the knight of the wise’s bloodline then they would be set. Her bloodline with Silverfury would be secured, but Sweetiepeach was getting in the way of this.
So one walk with her darling demons and a paw full of death berries later Sweetiepeach was gasping on the ground, induced into a weakened state, but not enough that she would die from it. That would look far too suspicious, but if she were to slip into the icy river bank… Well accidents like that happen all the time. However Dirtypaw, Maggotpaw, Rottenpaw, and Soullesspaw were not even told that this was her plan from the beginning.
“Soullesspaw, you’re the strongest, put her in her place if she struggles. The rest of you are going to drag her to that river and drown her while mamas thinking,” Dottymask instructed.
Rottenpaw had been trying to open Sweetiepeach’s mouth to see if she was choking on something when his mothers voice broke him out of his panic into a whole new hell. “What?” He asked, a cold shiver running down his spine. But… They were demons, they couldn’t kill a WinterClan cat, a queen nonetheless! But then they were also supposed to follow their parents orders so, which was the wrong move?
“Sweetiepeach is harming this family, our family. Your little sisters need good mates, one of her sons is going to be wed for them, take care of them, but that will never happen with her around. So be good little boys and girls and roll her into that river for your mommy,” Dottymask purred sweetly, patting Rottenpaw on the head.
Dottymask had done some pretty terrible thing to them. It defined who Soullesspaw was, but this was just something else. She had never made them do something terrible to someone else, and this just broke a part of her on the inside. She was no more a murder than a demon. Her eyes betrayed her sheer terror as she listened to Sweetiepeaches labored breathing. There was no way anyone wanted this. She shook her head. "We can't do this! We aren't this..."

It shocked Maggotpaw, down to his core, to see Sweetiepeach roll on the ground. Her kits and them were around the same age. He remembered watching them play or stare at the sky. Maybe there was a time when Sweetiepeach even stood up for them, but he couldn't remember. Watching someone die was like watching all of the good memories you had with them fade away, no matter how many there were. Because you knew, knew that you couldn't make any more. There wasn't much between them, but it hurt all the same. He wanted to move, but his limbs were frozen in place. Maggotpaw only shook his head. "Why... why do this?"
"We have to do this Soullesspaw. I see the love in your eyes for your sister, Heavenlykit, but she is going to grow up into a failure and there isn't a god in this world that can save her then. But if we kill Sweetie, take her kits, arrange one to her. Well... She'll be set, she'll be okay. Nothing ever good happens to a mateless she-cat in this clan," She said, referring to herself, but didn't expand further on the subject, "I'll do what it takes to make sure she makes it in this world and that includes killing for her. Now do as your mama says."
Rottenpaw stared back and forth from Sweetiepeach to his mom, but the words weren't processing. "I want combat training."
Dottymask stared her son down, eyeing him carefully, then turning to the rest of her kits, "I won't give you exactly what you want, but I will reward each of you for your selfless behavior when we get back home. Is that understood?"
Rottenpaw hesitated, he wanted to know how to fight, but no one had ever backed down even slightly to him so he would take any win he could get and nodded to his mother. Walking over to the queen he grabbed her by the scruff and began to struggle to pull her. But she was much stronger than him, even in a weakened state, he wouldn't be able to do this alone so he stopped tugging. "There's no choice anymore. Do you think she'll spare us if we save her? She's going to say we're in on it with Dotty and we'll be punished even harsher than her even though it was her idea. Sweetie was nice to us as kits, but we're not exactly cute and fluffy anymore. Let's just do this and go back home." And never think of this day again.

Damn. Maggotpaw didn't wanna surrender like this. But he'd been sticking his head out too much lately. He was gonna get punished for it. It wouldn't be a get out of jail free card to kill this queen. Hell, it would weigh on him for a while. But, as much as he hated it, Rottenpaw was right. He couldn't stick his neck out for anyone who was ever nice to him. Only his mom. That was worth it, no one else was. So Maggotpaw nodded and stood up next, grabbing the queen by her shoulders. "Let's just get this over with."
She shook her head and stared at Sweetcrema as her siblings gathered around her. Heavenlykit wouldn't need a mate to live a good life. She was perfect the way she was. The sweet little kitten needed to get out of here, to someplace where her genuine kindness would be appreciated rather than scorned. But Soullesspaw was not kind. As nice as Sweetcrema was, she never did much to alleviate their suffering.
Soullesspaw knew that she was trying to convince herself that this was the right thing too. "I want to make sure me and my siblings eat like the rest of the Clan for a week. Or I'll walk away and get Wintrystar down here."

Dirtypaw looked between her siblings "No, we have to do this for momma" she declared standing up on her paws and moving towards the queen with a certain determination in her eyes "Momma is only looking out for us and out siblings, you should be proud to help her" however, that didn't stop her trembling paws at the though of the murder "Momma, let me make you proud!" she replied leaping towards the queen

Momma this, Momma that. Just the word was grating enough to make Maggotpaw let go of the dying queen. He wouldn't kill for Dottymask, but he at least considered it for meals for a week. Maggotpaw didn't move from his spot right away, waiting for the killer's response to Soullesspaw before letting Sweetiepeach be moved.
Dottymask had half a mind to retort back that she would easily tell Wintrystar that they were all responsible for Sweetiepeach's situation, that she was merely forced to. Even if Wintrystar knew better she was always looking for an excuse to make her kits suffer, it would be easy. But that was the thing, they were her kits, she wasn't going to jeopardize their future by having Wintrystar ever discover this. "You'll get meals and eat them in secret, you're not eating with everyone else. I'm not going to endanger my reputation by giving demons permission to sit with everyone else and eat. Wintrystar would demote me on the spot in an instant."
Sweetiepeach struggled to get up, to run, which wasn't too hard given it was just Dirtypaw and Rottenpaw tugging at her. Maybe if they both weren't in such a weakened state from lack of food they would have more of a chance, but they didn't. Still Rottenpaw could hear Sweetiepeach's coughing, attempting to find words to talk them out of doing this or maybe to plead for her life. He never really got to learn what kind of person she was, but he definitely didn't want to get to know her that well in her dying moments so he quickly inched closer to the river to toss her. His gaze glared at Maggotpaw and Soullesspaw, wanting them to help fast now that they got what they wanted.
The last part stung, but they would have food. More of it, anyway. Soullesspaw nodded before turning back to where Sweetiepeach was trying to get away. She had been hiding prey for herself and eating it whenever she had the chance, so she was in a little better shape than the rest of her siblings. The she-cat slowly walked over to where Dirtypaw and Rottenpaw held the queen down. She reared up and slammed down on the struggling queen's head. She grimaced at the sound of Sweetiepeach's head hitting the ground, but maybe she'd be unconscious for the worst of it.

Good enough, Maggotpaw would think to himself. All the dirty looks and critique wouldn't get him to move, but a decent meal would. So the tiniest apprentice looked back down at the queen, not even stepping in to stop or help Soullesspaw. He was already worthless as a fighter, better not push it. Though he looked away right before the impact, already feeling himself wince. Maggotpaw looked back after, avoiding her face as he grabbed one of her legs to help drag her to the river.
