Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Heatherpaw stood outside the primary Animal Whisperer quarters and shuffled her feet. The black and gray she-cat had been assigned animal whisperer for almost a full moon now, but she had yet to actually acquire and animal to which she could whisper. She didn't have any clue as to how to go about it.
She tried to tell herself that DayClan would get to her in time, she just had to be patient. They were just busy with the war, plus she was a blind Maverick, not exactly high on the totem pole. Yet, as the days ticked by, she became more and more convinced that no one was going to seek her out. She'd need to take the initiative. It wasn't really in her nature, but she'd try.
"... Can someone help me catch an animal?" Heatherpaw's voice was so timid, it was unlikely that it carried. She cleared her throat and tried again, "E-Excuse me!"

Anyone can jump in, you don't have to be an Animal Whisperer to help Heatherpaw find her pet
“Oh I can help.” Tangledkit spoke up from behind her. He had been raised his first few moons in Pravus Nocte, and they had made sure he knew how to hunt and fight from a young age. So this whole sitting around camp doing nothing was really a bummer for him. Plus he felt like he was more than old enough to be promoted. Of course he was not actually old enough considering clan rules. So when the blind cat asked for help, he figured he could do something. Plus you couldn’t get in trouble if you went outside camp with an older cat right? “What are you looking for?” He asked touching her shoulder just so she would know where he was at. Trangleskit had never met a blind cat before and wasn’t sure how it all worked.
"I... don't know..." Heatherpaw recognized the high pitched voice of a kitten, so right away she didn't think they would really get anywhere. Still, it wouldn't hurt anyone for the two of them to go on a little adventure walking around the outside of camp. She liked kits and could use a little bit of a break. Being an Animal Whisperer was a lot of pressure and some days she was proud but most of the she she felt guilty about it. After all, surely there were other cats who wanted it and were better suited.
She flinched slightly when he touched his shoulder and responded by booping him on the head with her nose, "How about we go explore outside and see what we can find? I'm thinking something soft, fluffy and nice."
