Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Crimsonrose was beginning to feel very weary as she neared WinterClan's border. But her determination to see her self proclaimed mission through pushed her on.
She'd just had her newest litter of kits, but her wanderlust that had built up over the course of her pregnancy drove her to travel.
That and she felt she needed to check in on Sweetiepeach after failing her, Mysteryleaf had been devastated by the loss of her friend. And since Crimsonrose felt partially responsible in it happening, it was now her responsibility to fix it.
Plus the murmurs about WinterClan treating a mother cat like a demon concerned her. She had served Wintrystar briefly, what had happened to her, and to WinterClan after she'd left it behind?
'Is WinterClan only good when Leatherstar is around?' She thought bitterly, a pang of longing for her friend and student. Their shared bond empty, a gaping hole where he'd been.
'And apparently a yawning hole in WinterClan as well!'
Once she reached the border, she sat down right on it. Not quite trespassing but not quite obeying either. Expression set. She'd give Wintrystar till Sundown to come out else she'd go in and demand a patrol lead her to her.
Crimsonrose had served WinterClan faithfully, she was owed an explanation for its drastic changes.
Wintrystar did not show. She had no idea that a cat was waiting for her at the border, or that anyone wanted to speak to her. Nor did she have the time to deal with it. The camp was destroyed, and repairs were under way, but the blizzard had just come through last night and there was much to be done. No patrols had been sent out, no hunting either. All were focused on repairing the dens and camp before winter truly hit.
Crimsonrose waited for a while. Okay she may have fallen asleep for a bit, before snapping awake as the sun rose and she shook off some of the snow that had settled on her.
She stretched her jaws in a yawn and let out an irritated huff. She took a moment to stretch her body and shake off the stiffness. Welp.
If Wintrystar nor any cats from WinterClan would come out, she'd just have to head in. Even if she had to walk right to the heart.
She took a moment to catch some prey. Managing to catch a bird just outside the border. She hastily devoured it. Enough to renew her strength a little before she crossed the border and made her way into WinterClan's land.
A sense of foreboding filled her with each step towards the heart. She shook it off. This was her old home. And she'd served as one of Wintrystar's knights. She'd been there when she'd been named leader.
All that time and service had to count for something, and she'd made sure to not even hunt on the territory. What could Wintrystar possibly complain about?
As she walked she noted the increased snowbanks.
"Ah, a bad snowstorm must have hit. Snowed the clan in," Crimsonrose mused softly. That would explain the lack of patrols. She carried on, quickening her pace. Now that she knew she was going to have to make it to the heart to encounter anyone. She kept moving.
After all she'd have to speak with Wintrystar, and then head back to her little ones. Mysteryleaf would start worrying she'd been abandoned again. And Crimsonrose had promised she wouldn't leave until the kits were apprenticed.

Sweetcrema was wondering the territory, her nose to the brush, searching for some kind of herb or root to aid her in the sickness that was ailing her stomach as of late. Perhaps she was catching something. Maybe ate a bad mouse. The sound of a creature pushing through the snow caused her to poke her auburn and brown head over a bank ears perked. "Oh! Hello Crimsonrose!" She meowed delight evident in her voice. She was only a small kit delivered at the border when Leatherstar was leader and Crimsonrose was his right paw cat. Despite the she-cat being away since Leatherstars tragic accident and his daughter Fernskip's refusal of WinterClan's leadership she wasn't worried about her being within the borders. If there was one thing she understood from the stories, it was that Crimsonrose acted with intention.
"Are you here to speak with Wintrystar?!" she asked eyes gleaming in welcome.
Crimsonrose straightened up. "Yes, I am." She recognized the cat, she had been the one to gently encourage Crimsonrose to stand down when she'd been too heavily pregnant to fight back. "I'm here because I have some concerns I wish to speak to her about. Along with checking in on Sweetiepeach, she's my daughter's best friend you see. And I wanted to make sure she's okay."

Sweetcrema bounded over the snow bluff her long fur billowing and tail trailing behind peppered with flakes. "Ive been keeping a close eye on them. I promised I woudlnt allow anything to happen to them." she meowed dipping her head her eyes clouding a bit with the memory of the acts she had to commit by Wintrystars command. She didnt necessarily regret it due to it being an order by her leader, but her heart was still uneasy about it.
"Come on then. I'm sure Wintrystar would like to know you are here since you are this far into the territory anyways." The she-cat turned towards camp anchoring a paw as another wave of nausea washed over her. She shook her pelt and started on the trail.
"Indeed. I've just had my kits myself recently, and I'd rather avoid an altercation preferably." Crimsonrose said lightly. "Though I imagine WinterClan's keeping their claws as sharp as ever." She purred. "Though I do wish you hadn't come through and stolen kits like that. And..." She hesitated.
"Well, there are just somethings I need to talk to Wintrystar about." Crimsonrose noted pausing when she saw Sweetcrema shake herself. She debated querying about it but decided since DayClan and WinterClan were at odds with each other. It'd be best not to put the warrior in a position where she'd feel she was admitting to weakness. "Are Sweetiepeach's kits well? They should be old enough to be apprentices soon right?"

She nodded but as she was facing away from Crimsonrose she meowed, "Yes. However they have not yet been assigned. For now they remain kits. Perhaps next moon." she turned her head slightly to see Crimsonrose out the corner of her eye, "They are very strong and well fit for the climate." she paused. "They would have thrived anywhere they called home." her voice softening with that.
"My concern is that they and their mother are doing well." Crimsonrose meowed. "I'm not foolish enough to pick a battle there with Wintrystar unless it is clear they have been mistreated."
As Bluejay may have been from what she'd gleaned. Ultimately she needed to just have words with Wintrystar, because it was clear things were not as they should be.
"If they are happy and thriving, there is nothing for me to say. I am glad to hear it if that's the case." Crimsonrose meowed.

Sweetcrema couldn't speak to their happiness. She was unsure of their feelings. She knew they ate and weren't starving. She realized that in itself was her definition of "Safe." None were freezing and none were starving. Now she too wondered if they were happy. WinterClan being perhaps all they remember being so new when they were whisked away from DayClan. However, with their mother, Sweetiepeach's influence, perhaps they were not able to be happy till they could think for themselves.
She breathed out the kind of breath that relieves tension from ones muscles and chest as they climbed the last steep bluff to reach the camp. Cats worked tirelessly to repair the damage done from the horrific weather they had had as of late. While receiving strange glances from some others were too busy to notice.
"Come on. Lets go find Wintrystar." she lifted her paws out of the snow to bound the rest of the way to the entrance to camp where the snow had been pushed to either side for ease of travel.
Wintrystar was at the center of it all, her stomach swollen with kits, and a still yet a sense of command about her. The camp was destroyed, barlye anything left. Cats had worked tirelessly the last few days to repair the three they had, but much was still to be done and winter was setting in fast. Students were out hunting, warriors rebuilding, and Knights tended to whatever else was needed in between. It left them a little stretched, but was all they could do to prepare for the cold of tomorrow and to survive today.
Crimsonrose immediately noted the state of disarray WinterClan was in, the ginger she cat frowning softly. IF the camp was in such poor shape, what would that mean for the prison and it's prisoners. She quickened her pace pulling ahead of Sweetcrema to approach Wintrystar. "Wintrystar." She meowed as she approached. "I came to speak with you."

Sweetcrema quickened her pace to make sure she was at least close enough to still be considered an escort. She dipped her head as they approached Wintrystar. “Crimsonrose was headed for camp. No patrols were there to meet her. I ran into her along the trail”
Crimsonrose nodded. "I waited a day on the border, but when no one came I realized that you'd likely been snowed in." Crimsonrose meowed taking a moment to look around and nod. "And I see I was right. However, I feel that what I wish to speak with you about cannot wait Wintrystar."
