Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
How did this keep happening? Unseenlights kits had finally been weened, Jetfire had taken back over the care for her own kits, but now here she was again stuck with three newborn kits that were not her own. Luckily she had still been producing a small amount of milk, but with her depleted physical state it wouldn't be enough to keep them alive for long without some food and the aid of some herbs. She sighed... Her brother and sister in law amoungst the pile of the dead in the center of their makeshift camp, and she couldn't just leave them. She, her mate, and their children had been planning on leaving SunClan when all the chaos broke out and she had to fight to get the undead Oakshade off of her sister in law who pershied and then turned on her. She had deep claw marks going over one of her blue eyes, but was otherwise alright for the most part. He nosed the little ones, looking up at Allaria, Hakoda, and Damek "I may not be their mother, but they are still part of our family. I can't leave them alone and defenseless amongst this chaos, I owe that much to my brother... I would like for you to meet Eastkit, Westkit, and Southkit"
Allaria looked at the kits with fondness in her eyes, it didn't really matter where they came from, they were family. Family who had suffered due to more of Bloodystar's cruelty. Perhaps if Duskslayer hadn't run off with Kaisra shortly before the zombies appeared, Northpeak would still be alive, and her kits would still have their mother. There wasn't any point it getting hung up on the what if's, though. What was done was done and there was no undoing it.
"Would it have killed you to be a little more creative with their names?" She joked, gently stroking Eastkit's flank with one of her forepaws, "Poor things. I can't believe the state of SunClan. It's worse than I ever imagined."
"Their beautiful Lights," He said pressing his forehead against her, "And of course they're a part of this family," Duskslayer said as he lied down next to her. "I'll start waking up early to hunt for them. Maybe MoonClan's prey is more plentiful or maybe I'll hunt in the Survival Clans, but I'll make sure they stay well fed."
He had only just returned back to SunClan minutes ago, but within that short amount of time everything change. The option of offering to move back to the Regime wasn't on the table anymore, not when the kits were this young and fragile. Which meant he really needed to put his all into SunClan because it was the only home they would have for a while now. He wasn't willing to let anything slide anymore either, family had to be first if he could help it. He was already forced away from Unseenlight's twice in battle, then a third time when they made it to MoonClan. He needed to devote himself completely, he could already see the sour look in Allaria's eyes, he deserved every bit of her judgment.
"I am so sorry to everyone that I wasn't there during the blue moon, but I am going to pour everything I have into our family. I'll try my best to make things right from now on and if you don't believe me I understand, but I'll spend every moment of every day trying to improve our lives here for us and everyone. I have some good news, my family has located Faithpaw in NightClan, they're picking her up now so she will be brought back to us soon."

Unlike her daughter, there was no judgement in her heart. She nuzzled up against her mate's cheek, just glad to have him returned to her side safely. Unseenlight purred slightly "That is good news, but if you really mean it than you can start by taking care of yourself" her paws snaking about around his neck to pull him down into the nest beside of her and the newborns. Soon their family would be together again, and they had three new additions "You just got back and you are already talking about leaving again to go out hunting, just take a few moments to breathe"
Unseesnlight's ears flicker towards Allaria, Darkpaw, and Bravepaw "I know that you three wanted to return to the regime and leave SunClan behind, and you still can" she paused giving some time for her words to sink in "I want you all to be happy, but until they are old enough to travel I won't be able to join you"
"That is good news, but if you really mean it than you can start by taking care of yourself."
Duskslayer blinked almost like he awoke from a trance, but before the urgency of the situation could sweep him off his paws against Unseenlights had already pulled him in close. The kits tucked in close between the two of them. "You're right," He purred kissing her up from her neck to her- Nope kids are around. He gave her a particularly bland last kiss as though that casual kiss would make up for the rather romantic affection he had just shown.
"I want all of you to know that even though I have a lot going on I am always happy to spend time with each of you no matter how tired I get. I feel incredibly blessed to have my adorable mischievous kids in my life, our new little ones and you in my life, Lights. I'll never be ungrateful for it and if I am then know that I'm an imposter and there's a shapeshifter on the lose," He teased.
Allaria put her paw over her face and groaned. Her parents were so embarrassing, getting all kissy-kissy and flirting about, what, shapeshifters? She tried to tune it out best as she could but her mother's words from earlier were still haunting her thoughts: "I know that you three wanted to return to the regime and leave SunClan behind, and you still can." Don't you think I've already considered that, mom?
Home wasn't a location, it was where her family was. Leaving without them was never an option. She wasn't Huntleigh, she didn't hide away when the going got tough, she stood right next to them and bared her fangs at whoever inferred with their lives. But saying anything at all would be repeating herself, and Allaria was starting to understand that her parents, well, never would understand her.
"Ugh. The three of us will watch the kits tonight if you promise to never make a joke that bad ever again, Duskslayer." Allaria offered, laying down next to her adopted siblings. She picked up one by its scruff and moved it over to her side, likely giving both of her parents a heart attack for the wrong reasons: With a kit at her side, maybe, just maybe, she looked the part of a queen. Since when had she grown up so much!?

Unseenlights purred almost forgetting about their surroundings until it stopped, and he pulled away. Her heart thrumming in her chest until Allaria spoke up, followed by a grunt of agreement from Darkpaw as he grasped the other kits and moved them to join their siblings beside of Allaria. Though she couldn't see the scene unfolding before her, she smiled none the less. Their kits were growing up, and fast. It wasn't long ago that they were all running around in rp playing with crystals, and now here they were offering to babysit their new siblings without even a moment of hesitation. It was just a sweet gesture, and it felt so wrong to refuse "What do you say dear?" she purred licking his cheek "Its been a while since we have had any real alone time" Faith
"Those are sweet, very kind offers, but until the kits are weaned I just wouldn't feel comfortable with that. The kits eyes aren't open and at this stage they're reliant for milk, constant attention, all things your moms experienced in. But I appreciate you two stepping in, when the kits are weaned off milk I'm sure your mother and I would love to take you up on the offer though," Duskslayer purred.
All the acting in the world couldn't prevent his heart from stopping seeing the tiny infant resting against his daughters belly. For some reason he never pictured Allaria having kits or at least not until much later. She seemed like someone who wanted more of her life to experience the world than raise a family early on her life. But maybe he shouldn't assume it would happen sooner than he thought.
"And also when you two decide to start dating I want you both to be responsible. Darkpaw if you and a girl ever have kits, I don't care if it's a fling or serious, you talk to that girl and you both work out a system to raise or care for those kits. Same goes for you Allaria, unless you think a boy is dangerous they deserve the right to know about any litters. And for both of you, no matter how much you love someone, promise me that you will let them go if they ever hurt you or your family. You two are growing up too fast, okay! And I'd rather you just date and wait for at least engagement where you know both parties are serious. But I get that's an unrealistic expectation so I just want you both to be safe out there and respectful to those you date, okay?" Duskslayer blurted out in what can only be described as fatherly panic that he hadn't gone over this sooner.

Darkpaw looked at this father, a smirk slowly appearing on his face watching as he paniced for really no reason. He put his paw on his sister's shoulder "Don't worry" he replied, never speaking more than a few words at a time "I keep safe" he had always been over protective over his siblings, but lately he had been the most clingy with Allaria, not really showing any attention to those outside of their family. In fact he hadn't really spoken directly to anyone in SunClan but those he was related to unless they were bugging his sister...

Bravepaw sort of sat on the sidelines, watching the encounter. He finally looked more cat than rat, with a gentle coating of shimmery silver fur cut through with delicate cinnamon-russet striping. His amber eyes, though, were still the same as ever, though it was clear the tom's days of being unable to leave his nest to play with his littermate were past. Luckily, Duskslayer managed to forget about him and the dating scene, and the young tom seemed to sink back a little bit hoping his father wouldn't think about including him.
Little Eastkit, for his part, curled up near Allaria's chest, young black floof seeming to disappear into her embrace as he purred softly.
"Actually, this is a good time to really sit down and talk about this. So let's start with societal pressures, have either of you ever felt pressured into gender roles? Maybe you feel that by the time you're a warrior you should have a mate or that you have to have a family or even a family of your own, that adoption is considered shameful? Anyone? Raise your paw if so." Duskslayer said. Likely making his entire family regret spending time with him tonight. But Duskslayer having been friends with Autumngossamer, or well, his person Shootingcomet having been friends with her had seen what not having the talk could do to a person. Plus the pressure of SunClan's cult behavior had made him and Lights almost miss out on having kits of their own.
She had to hand it to her dad, he knew how to change a subject. Not that the new one was any better than the one prior. Allaria audibly groaned and moved her paw away from Darkpaw's only to cover her own face. It seemed like rather than a romantic evening with their mother, Duskslayer had instead decided to spend it torturing his children. Well, two could play at that game.
"No, not at all," Allaria began with a mischievous glint in her eyes, "I've actually learned a lot about a woman's place in SunClan, so I'm not sure why you are even asking us this, unless... Do... do you mean I'm not supposed to find a mate as soon as possible and have kits?" She was a pretty convincing actress, but her sarcasm was only thinly veiled as she continued, "I really fancy Perfectpaw. Now that he has that wicked scar across his face he seems even more mysterious and handsome. I was thinking of asking him to be my mate once we are both Warriors, we'll both be of age right around the Romance Festival, it's almost like it's meant to be. I... I just don't want to disappoint you or the Sun God!"
Okay, her last bit really didn't sound like anything she'd say, but she was having fun with it much the same way that Duskslayer did when he switched between characters, although she wasn't quite as good at it.

Unseenlight's chuckled, after her initial moment of panic when she realized that her daughter was just being sarcastic "Your father has a point, while we would love for you to have a family of your own one day, we want it to be if and when you are ready" she purred lightly nuzzling Duskslayer "You can come and talk to us about anything, even if your embarrassed or scared"
"Exactly," Duskslayer said leaning his head into Unseenlight's, "We're all a team and so long as you're always honest with us your mother and I will support you. Trust is the foundation of our family and so long as none of us break that we will always have each other's backs. You can always count on me to defend each of you."
(Unless you guys got something extra I'm cool ending it here, I don't know what else to say xD)
