The last of sun's light was quickly fading to darkness, as the remnants of SunClan began to slowly filter into MoonClans old camp as a last resort to escape the chaos and violence. A fire was raging across their home, many of their friends and family missing or dead. Dark storm clouds loomed overheard, the electricity in the air making even the most seasoned warrior's prickle with unease. The harsh storm winds whistling as it flew through the towering trees barren from leafs that lied scattered dead across the ground rustling with every pawstep. Ever since stepping foot in the thickly wooded territory, the SunClan cat's couldn't help but feel as if they were being watched by unseen eyes. That something, or someone, was watching their every move. One by one, SunClan cats that survived the battle rejoined their clan-mates. Solemn... defeated... Forced to take refuge in the lands of Moon Goddess to avoid persecution from the other clans. The old MoonClan camp offered them some protection, but it was not meant to hold so many cats at once leaving only the most vulnerable and injured able to escape from the cold winds that cut through their thin pelts. **~~~**~~~**~~~**~~~**~~~**~~~**~~~**~~~**~~~**~~~**~~~**~~~**~~~**~~~** Note: This thread takes place immediately after the Fire on Fire plot thread. That thread is currently ongoing, but in order to have our Halloween Plot still happen, I went ahead and posted this to keep things on track. After the battle, what remains of SunClan begin to regroup on MoonClan's old territory. A while back SunClan ran them off, and its really the only place left for them to flee to with the fire raging on their own territory. Your cats can show up at anytime, because naturally not all cats fleeing the battle would arrive at the same time. I am going to give some time for cats to talk and set the scene, before the real drama begins.
Ferventpaw: Ferventpaw licked the skin between her sister's ears gently, trying to soothe her as Tranquilpaw moaned and shuddered in pain. When fleeing from SunClan's camp, Mountain had tossed her into the flames leaving much of her body seared and blistered. It wasn't that he was trying to harm the little apprentice, he hadn't even taken notice of her as he pushed her to the side to reach Weed and the other queens. He had even returned to pull her from the flames(after much screaming from his tiny charge) and carried her to meet up with the others in MoonClan. She reeked of burned fur and flesh, hardly aware of where she was or what was going on around her. Tranquilpaw had been pulled from the fire and carried to MoonClan, though some wondered if it would have been kinder to end her suffering and let her die. The burns that covered her legs, underbelly, tail, and chest were severe, and even if she managed to survive them, her future was uncertain. Tears were streaming down Ferventpaw's face as she did what she could to be there for her sister, avoiding touching the burns the best she could. Any time something touched the raw skin, flesh would be painfully away. She didn't want to admit it, but her sister was dying. The way she shuddered and struggled to breathe, the ways her lung wheezed from the smoke, and her heart had begun to slow "Daddy..." Ferventpaw called, not kowing if Bloodystar had even managed to make it out, but hoping... praying.... Jadie
Burntphoenix Burntphoenix, eased his mate and kits into an old nest in what used to be MoonClan's nursery. The moss was dried out and scraggly, but at the very least it would keep them off of the cold floor and out of the winds. The wound on his chest had opened up, seeping through the cobwebs that bound him along with a few new wounds across his flank, and a deep scratch across his nose. He was sore and exhausted, but his family came first as he tucked his children into Wistfulpheonix's side "I'll go out and see if I can find something better for you to..." he stopped, the screams of another she-cat cutting him off "to sleep on" he continued, numb to the sound now as the she-cat labored Nova
Honeysplash "Pollendrone" came a voice from amongst the crowd, as the small tom searched for his children "Dragonpaw...Grasspaw...Ladypaw..." The normally white tom's fur was crimson, blood trying onto fur causing it to spike outwards like little horns leaving it up to the observer to determine if the blood was his enemies or his own. He was limping, but seemed to be faring better than most of the clan that had escaped paoPhantomCleaver
He had been so lost in the chaos and confusion of the battle that when the fire broke out, he had simply frozen. Speckles had found the young cat and guided him away to MoonClan, but now that they had arrived he was utterly broken, staring despondently into the distance and not speaking a single word. If he heard his father call his name, he showed no sign of it; it was far too loud inside his head. Every time he closed his eyes he felt the heat of the flames rush up to his face, and he smelled the sweet, crackling scent of his cooking clanmates. He hated it, he hated every second of it, Dragonpaw didn't even like to eat real prey but he had to admit the burning cats had kind of smelled good and that scared him more than he could say.
"Over here, Honeysplash," the initiate called, straightening up and waving the tom over. He sat beside Dragonpaw, awkwardly patting the apprentice on the back with a paw. Not entirely sure what was wrong with the young cat, but maybe he was just upset about what had happened, that was understandable. Speckles himself had been spared the worst of the battle, being an initiate he had evaded most of the fight, though he did have a deep cut along his forehead and his paw pads were singed from walking on embers.

Honeysplash: Honeysplash's ears flickered over to where the initiate sat with his son. Relief washed over him, making his way through the crowd until he reached the pair. Even though the initiate wasn't exactly normal, at least he was with him and not captured or dead "Thank you speckles" he dipped his head, his paws running over his son's body checking for injuries leaving little smears of blood in his wake "Are you injured?" he could see the pain and hurt smeared across his face clear enough, and there wasn't really much that he could say to comfort him. War wasn't pretty... There were always casualties and losses, things you would never be able to unsee. All that was left to do was to simply be there for him to talk to. Cleaver
Unseenlights Unessenlights walked with three of her children, until the finally reached MoonClan's camp. She had to rely on them, the ground unfamiliar and strange under her feet and her sense still overwhelmed from the chaos that had they had left behind. Faithpaw was gone...Taken by the invaders, but she had placed her trust in Duskslayer to bring her back to them. He hadn't yet returned to them, but she had no doubts in her mind that he would come back for them. He was still out there somewhere, and she couldn't, wouldn't, allow herself to imagine that he was anything but safe "We should all try and get some rest" she murmured, keeping the three of them close JadieFaithHoneystorm
PERFECTPAW Bloodystar was nowhere to be seen, but it was early, many other SunClan cats were just now arriving with more hopefully to come. At least, that's what Perfectpaw told himself as he paced by Tranquilpaw and Ferventpaw's side, lashing his tail in anger at his own uselessness. He was as big as any other Warrior at this point but what did he have to show for it? A few scratches here, a bump there, he'd be fine but so were all the cats he had fought. To make matters worse, he'd been so obsessed with making a name for himself that he had let one of his precious siblings get so terribly wounded. And there was nothing he could do to help her.
"He'll be here soon, Ferventpaw, and he'll make Tranquilpaw all better," Perfectpaw finally said, forcing imself to sit down next to his sisters. He put his paw over Ferventpaw's but knew touching Tranquilpaw would do her more hard than good, so he let her be, "Let's pray for them both." racer
VALLEYPAW "You okay, Dragonpaw?" All things considered, Valleypaw was acting pretty normal. Her fur was singed a little bit here and there so was every cat, otherwise she looked mostly unharmed. She wore a nervous smile and she sat down next to him, wrapping her ridiculously plummy tail around her delicate white paws, paws that were slightly blistered due to the super-heated sandstone back at SunClan. She licked at one of the blisters that had already burst and winced in pain, "No wonder the Sun God has so many followers. I'd be friends with the cat who could control something as devastating as fire, too, haha..." Cleaver

Ferventpaw Ferventpaw was scared for their sister, tears welling up in the corners of her eyes while she tried her best to do something for her "I'll pray, go try to find daddy, Mountainsound, a Janus... Someone" she felt utterly helpless, but she also was afraid to leave Tranquilpaw's side and leave her alone with no one there to hold her. She gazed up at their brother pleadingly "Please... she is hurting..." Ferventpaw had her own scrapes and bruises, but had been mostly unscathed in the battle. Her back still ached from where Burningsummer had laid on her though, and laying next to Tranquilpaw took some of the pressure off of it. Jadie
ALLARIA (AKA SOARINGPAW) "No," Allaria replied to her mother, stomping her paw dramatically. She had been right by the main exit when the fighting had broken out and was thus one of the first to escape; she didn't have a mark on her, "We should take this opportunity and go back to the Regime. Clearly Bloodystar has lost his mind and Dad is just as screwed up if he is going to keep listening to him. SunClan is doomed and our family at least the sane ones - is not going down with them. Right, Damek? Hakoda?" She turned her dragon blue eyes on her two brothers, Allaria was the undisputed Alpha in this group and fully expected at least one of them to agree with her. She did make some good points. racerHoneystorm
Resilientbloom She’d already been overwhelmed by everything. Being a Janus, torn between a shaky connection to her real mother in dreams, and the cat who acted as her parent in the real world.
And now none of them were here.
She stumbled towards her siblings, she’d fled in the chaos unable to summon the will to fight. Some Janus she was. She’d taken advantage of her powers to go to her mother and cry.
Cry as she piled on masks to hide to survive. The quiet obedient ‘daughter’ to Bloodystar. Even if her felt like ants were crawling through her pelt as she realized her siblings no longer recalled their parents. And that she couldn’t even remember their father anymore. Their real father. Not the one who had taken them, and put her on a pedestal that wobbled precariously beneath her paws.
When she saw her siblings her heart went to her throat. Ferventpaw praying quietly, while Tranquilpaw-
“Oh Tranquilpaw,” she whispered hurrying over to her sisters. “What happened?!” She demanded
“Mountain happened,” Tenebrouspaw, the dark apprentice having stuck near Ferventpaw. “She’s badly burned as you can see, can you do anything for her?”
Resilientbloom’s heart felt like it was clamped in a Vice. “I... I don’t have any herbs except some poppy seeds. B-but I can look for more!” She said quickly.

Unseenlights Unseenlights eyed their daughter, but sighed "If you want to go back to the Regime, I will not stand in your way" she and Duskslayer had always been willing to allow their children make their own choices. The only reason they were even in SunClan was because they had chosen to follow Duskslayer "All I ask is that you take some time to recover before you set out" she pressed her nose to Allaria's forehead, paying no heed to her anger. She had always been this way, ready to fight at the drop of a feather "You know I will support whatever decision you decide to make, but I must stay here until your father has returned. Let's spend the night here, and if you still feel the same way in the morning I will personally escort those of you that want to leave back to the Regime. With the fire and enemies around every corner, it will be safer to travel" JadieHoneystorm
Ferventpaw Ferventpaw had her nose pressed against Tranquilpaw's forehead as she prayed, her words hard to understand as they came tumbling quickly and softly out of her mouth "Sun God... I don't know if you can here us here, but can't you see that your followers are suffering? Tranquilpaw has always been devoted to you, you can't let her die like this... Please protect her, keep her safe" she she finished she looked up to find their other sister had joined them "Resilientpaw" she greeted sadly, refusing to budge from her position with Tranquilpaw "maybe the poppyseeds will help her not hurt so much" she was still visibly upset, but doing her best not to panic JetclawJadie
Resilientbloom Resilientbloom nodded mutely, heading back a few pawsteps to where she'd dropped her bundle of poppy seeds. The only thing she'd thought to do before fleeing was grab the pawful of seeds just in case. Knowing that at least they'd help cats sleep and numb their pain a little.
She brought over the bundle and set it down beside Tranquilpaw, pulling one out. "Here, has she responded at all?" She asked, "Or are we going to need to move her mouth to chew and then swallow it?"
Her sister was so burned she didn't want to try it, but if they had to they had to.

Wistfulsphinx
Wistfulsphinx had gently lain her three kits down in the nest, carefully checking them over to see if they had been injured. The three of them had just seemed to be a bit frazzled and scared. It was to be expected. She gently nuzzled all three of them, murmuring words of comfort to them as she tucked them in for the remainder of the night. “Rest now, darlings… you’ll be safe here.” She whispered to them. The queen did not lay down or rest right away. She made sure to block the kits from the sight of there father, as she gently ushered Burntphoenix out of the den. “They’ll be fine.” She said quickly. “They’re nearly apprentices now. We must take you to see Mountainsound, or someone.” Wistfulsphinx said, gently cleaning away the blood from the cut on his nose. “I won’t take no for an answer, Burntphoenix. Not now. Let me take care of you for now.” racerPhantomhals
Scorchedwhisker: Moonclan territory He should have been resting. He should have been helping the other injured cats settle down in the camp. He should have been telling the other warriors where to catch the best prey in Moonclan territory. He should have been showing them the nearest place for water. But there were bound to be other Moonclan cats in the clan. They could help. Right now Scorchedwhisker needed to find Lionpride. Pollendrone needed him, especially now. She had begun to give birth right as they had arrived in the old camp. Weed had been with her, but she needed her mate. The tom curled his lip. It was futile. He knew it. But his paws kept working as he ran through the territory. “Lionpride!” His voice cracked with every syllable, his throat burning hot as his vocal chords worked. The claw marks on his neck were still healing, and he was no where near ready to be using his voice yet. But he had to try. He had to try for Pollendrone. The tom let out a hiss as he paused, carefully rubbing the wounds on his neck and being careful not to open the wounds before he pressed on further into the forest.
Weed The initiate had been glued to Pollendrone’s side from the moment they left the camp until this very moment. When her friend had suddenly gone into labor she had done everything she could to try and get her somewhere safe. Her burnt paws had screamed and ached as she ran around gathering everything she needed for her friend. The mottled tortoiseshell had crouched down by Pollendrone’s side, occasionally dragging her tongue across the space between her ears. “You’re doing wonderfully so far, Pollendrone… they’ll be here soon…” Phantom

Ferventpaw The young apprentice shook her head "No, all she does is scream when she is awake, then she ends up like this" she wasn't sure if the poppy seeds would even be enough to help at this point, but maybe it would give her some relief, something to numb the pain. "I can't even touch her where she is burned, the skin just peels away" JetclawJadie
Burntphoenix Burntphoenix wanted to argue with his mate, but allowed himself to be led out of the makeshift nursery. He looked rough, but none of his injuries were life threatening like so many that lied scattered around the camp. He nuzzled her neck "I'll take it easy, but we shouldn't bother the healers with my wounds until the more urgent cats get seen" his eyes flashing to where the young apprentice lay dying. He was sore and tired, sleep tugging on his eyes lids even as they spoke. "Has Scorchedwhisker made his way here yet?" he asked gently, knowing that his mate wasn't his biggest fan "I don't know if he would be able to make it out with his injuries..." Nova
Silverfringe Silverfringe laid near the neighboring queen, letting her own kits nurse while she tried to gently tried to assist. It was still early on in the labor and it would be a while before any kits actually made their way into the world. She licked gently along Pollendrone's spine, but she wasn't the only queen giving birth. Also in the same nursery was a fluffy she-cat that Honeysplash had brought back the SunClan not long before the first battle as an initiate. She hadn't been in camp when it had been attacked, but had rejoined the group in moonclan. She had long fluffy white fur with swirls of gray, a the bell on her bright blue color to match her stunning eyes ringing every time she moved revealing her kittypet past. Another she-cat Honeysplash has impregnated and brought back to SunClan to boost their numbers. She shrill squeaks of discomfort, as her own contractions had begun soon after arriving only to have Honeysplash up and disappear in search of his other children@novaamaro Phantom
Tenebrouspaw "Maybe we should get some water. There was a fire once... where I came from." He said a bit awkwardly. "And cats that were burned found water to be helpful to take away some of the heat. It was a long trek but if we get some water on her burns it might... cool them?" He asked uncertainly.
Resilientbloom The janus hesitated grimacing. "Well... she's unlikely to be able to move to get water anyways, Tenebrouspaw go get lots of moss and start grabbing water. We'll likely need it for more than just Tranquilpaw anyway." She said struggling to think.
The dark tom nodded and took off to go look for some moss.
"Ferventpaw we're going to have to get Traquilpaw's mouth open and move her head to chew it up... and then rub her throat to get it to swallow it." Resilientbloom meowed. "I'm... I'm not sure how to do that without hurting her though." She admitted.

Wistfulsphinx
The black and white queen curled her tail around her mate as she took him to the center of the camp. She tried her best not to look at Tranquilpaw. Wistfulsphinx could only imagine it as one of her own kits, and it made her heart stop. The queen quickly cleared her throat as she helped Burntphoenix lay down with the other injured cats. “Your wounds are just as urgent, Burntphoenix. At least to me they are.” She quipped. Once she was sure he was settled down, she carefully began inspecting the blood soaked cobwebs on his chest. She was no healer, and she would never pretend to be one. Unsure of whether or not to remove them, she left them be and focused on cleaning off the cut on his flank. Her ears twitched at the mention of her step-son. Wistfulsphinx paused for a moment, lifting her head to meet his gaze before she quickly scanned the clearing for any sign of Scorchedwhisker’s pelt. Her amber eyes showed neither relief or worry. She knew that Burntphoenix would worry about his oldest son, and in truth she could never hold that against him. He was a wonderful father, why would he be any different with Scorchedwhisker? But to Wistfulsphinx, the mixed blooded tom was a remainder of an old affair with a cat that her mate used to love. The feeling of being second place ate at her, though she knew it wasn’t true. But she swallowed her feelings, gently stroking her mate’s cheek with her paw as she smiled softly at him. “I’m sure someone went back for him. The other cats that were in the healer’s den with him are here. I’ll keep an eye out for him, you just focus on resting.
Weed The mottled tortoiseshell flicked her ear as she looked at the kitty pet, her green eyes flashing a bit distastefully as she was reminded of the hole her sister had left in her heart when she abandoned Sunclan for a kittypet. It was another she-cat that Honeysplash had seduced, and here she was giving birth to his newest litter alongside Pollendrone who was working effortlessly to bring his grandchildren into the world. It was a bit of sick irony, Weed thought. But where was the… eager tom cat? She curled her lip a bit when she noticed that he had left both his newest interest and his daughter alone in the nursery. “I’ll be right back.” Weed said to both Pollendrone and Silverfringe. She quickly got up and padded out of the nursery, her narrowed green eyes looking across the clearing for Honeysplash’s pelt. Her ears pinned to her head when she spotted him, and she quickly made her way towards the tom cat. Without so much as a warning to him, Weed grabbed him by the scruff and dragged him over to the nursery which was easy considering his small frame. She all but dropped him outside, placing a paw on his tail in case he tried to run away. “Not only did you decide to bring yet another she-cat to our clan expecting your litter, but your daughter is giving birth for the first time. Her mate is gone, her mother is not here, and she is all but alone. Don’t you think that maybe, just maybe, she’d need her father for comfort?” racer

Ferventpaw Ferventpaw winced, but nodded slowly "Do what you have to do, just make her feel better" she pleaded, leaning down and whispering in Tanquilpaw's ear "It will be ok, our sister is here with some medicine. You have to take it, even though its not going to be easy" she wasn't sure how to help admiinster the medicine so she focused on trying to comfort her sister. JetclawJadie
Burntphoenix He allowed himself to be guided down to the ground, settling in among the injured cats that littered the clearing. It seemed rather silly for him to be here, but he was to tired to fight with Wistfulsphinx, as leaned into her. His eyes closed as she cleaned the wound along his flank, the rhythmic licking only making it harder to fight sleep that was trying to over take him. But hearing that she would watch for his son her could rest easier, placing his head on her paws "Wake me up when he gets here" he murmured softly Nova
Honeysplash Honeysplash had been so focused on Dragonpaw, that he hadn't even heard Weed approach until she had already grabbed him by the scruff and hauled him into the air "HEY!" he screeched, but even as good at fighting as he was, once someone had your scruff there was little you could do until they decided to set you down. As he was set down he wiggled "What's the big idea? I'm trying to check in on my son" he growled, until she spoke. Oh that's what she wanted... His ears grew hot as he jerked his tail out from her paw with a huff "I don't get the big deal. It my duty as a SunClan cat to make more SunClan cats" he shrugged his shoulder, cringing as the sounds of the she-cats clearly in pain reached his ears very clearly uncomfortable "Look I have other kits I have to worry about to. Dargonpaw is petrified, Grasspaw is who knows where, and I haven't seen Ladypaw since the start of the fight. Pollendrone and Romani are both here and fine. Queens give birth all the time, and I'll just get in the way" before Weed could protest, he had already back up several steps to get out of her range "I'm going to go help where I'm actually useful" Leaping back to race of "Bye!" Nova
Duskslayer walked in, Oakshade's body draped across his back as he lied him down just outside of the new camp. He was tired, but digging was always something he had been good at from his love for fossil digging. Truly the last thing he wanted was for Oakshade to be a burnt up corpse. Spotting his family he first rolled across the grass to drag the scent of death out of his fur. Getting to his paws he could hear the exchange between Unseenlights and Allaria as he made his way over. "If you want to leave then you should, I respect your sense of self preservation. I'm proud to have a daughter who is not blindly faithful to a mad king. Honestly I'd be tempted to ditch if it weren't for the alarming number of injured apprentices here without any supervision."
PERFECTPAW "I'll do it," Perfectpaw said resolutely, "We will have to act very quickly. The more we touch her, the more she will hurt." He padded up to Tranquilpaw and he very nearly brushed his cheek against hers out of habit, but he caught himself. Face next to hers, he let out a strained purr, trying to calm her down, "Everything will be alright, little sister. Trust us. I'm going to help you open your mouth now."
With that, he gently placed one paw at the back of her head to hold her steady, then the other paw on her lower jaw, pushing ever so slightly downward. He was being as careful as he could be but from the minor burns he himself had, he knew that the pain she was going through must be excruciating, "Resilientbloom, now!"Jetclawracer
ALLARIA (AKA SOARINGPAW) "You two always say stuff like that..." Allaria murmured, eyes downcast while she collected her thoughts. Finally she let out her held breath and faced down both of her parents, "But going back to the Regime won't mean anything at all if you all don't come, too. I miss Shule and Sean and Huntleigh and everyone else every single day! But at least I know that they are safe. If I went back to the Regime, all I'd be doing is missing and worrying about you."
She paused for dramatic effect and wrapped her tail around her all white paws. She had grown up a lot recently and was looking more and more like Shule every day, save for her wavy dark gray fur, inherited from her mother.
"Duskslayer...," It was the first time Allaria hadn't called him Dad, "...It's okay to be selfish sometimes."Faithracer

Tranquilpaw The gray and white she-cat screeched, her ear splitting screams filling the air as he brother grasped her jaws and pulled them apart. While her head hadn't received the worst of the burns, the skin was bright pink under her patchy fur and tender. She flailed weekly, shaking her head back and forth her paws reaching up in automatic reaction to push away his paws, the sticky skin of her pads pulling off as the stuck onto Perfectpaw each time the made contact JadieJetclaw
