Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
A small ball of white fur hopped around the nursery. Sugarkit and her siblings were just old enough to start walking and talking. She pawed at her sibling, Wintrykit. "WINTRYYkeeit!" She meowed loudly, trying to get their attention. "Letz go EXPLOUR!" She had a speech impediment that was rather adorable and squeaky.
Wintrykit flinched at her sister's loud voice. She couldn't help but be a little irritated at Sugarkit. The kitten, unlike her litermate, didn't want to explore. She wanted to stay right where she was, right next to her mother, and stay warm. It was cold outside. "Outside?" she asked, a little miserably. She really didn't want to, but knew her sister would drag her out – one way, or the other.
"YEZZ!" She squealed, nibbling on her sister's ear. "Thuur R deez thingz caLLed FLOWERZ! Hav u SEEN dem yet?! So... CUTE!!!!" Sugarkit pounced on top of her littermate in excitement. "Dey hav GRWEEN, Bluuu, RED, and PwINK!! MY FAV COLOOR!"
Wintrykit batted her sister away, annoyed at the eat nibble. She already hated the things called flowers, on the bases alone that it got her already hyper-active sister even more hyper. She pushed Sugarkit off her and rolled away, a growl forming in her throat. She swallowed it back. "It cold outside." she complained. Or, at least she assumed so from what the older kits said.
"but... butt... buuuttt...." Sugarkit looked like she was about to burst into tears. All she wanted to do was spend time with her sister and smell the flowers.
"PWEEEAAASSSEEEEE?!" she wailed, almost waking the entire den.
Wintrykit groaned, Great, I said no and now everyone's going to wake up because she can't take that answer. She thought as she glared at Sugarkit. "If you wake everyone up, then we wouldn't be able to go outside anyway." she hissed.
Sugarkit's ears flattened. "ok..." she whispered. "i... b... quiteee." The white kit laid down next to her sister. "but... pwease?!" she begged, rubbing her head against her siblings, attempting to be as cute as she could.
Wintrykit flinched away from her sister. Sleeping next to her littermates was different than being awake and having physical contact with them. She didn't know why, but she didn't like it. "You can only drag me out once." she warned. "If you wake me up tomorrow morning and want to go outside..."
Wintrykit groaned. Her sister hadn't even acknowledged the thinly veiled threat that she technically hadn't made. She reluctantly followed her hyperactive sister out of the nursery.
