Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Anemoneshade had went from leaving as much as possible to confining herself to the nursery. Not that there was anywhere to go with the Fire Nation blocking the exit. The normally sociable warrior could feel herself going mad, and not just from the lack of food. Everyone knew she was pregnant, it was as obvious as the belly she dragged along the ground. Her father seemed happy, but she could see the concern in his eyes. They both knew who the father was, but not everyone did.
When she went out with him at first it was a punch. Some way to prove to herself or others that he cared about her. Now, she wasn't sure what to think. He hadn't asked about her, but also there was a whole crisis so was she just being selfish? But it was also fair to want some of his time. Watching the mates come in and coddle their mates only fueled that jealousy. And today, she'd finally had enough.
Now she was standing in front of Bloodystar's den, just like the first time they really talked. But today, there was no Oakshade to tell him she was here. No, now his blood still stained the ground in camp. Unable to get that stench from her nose, and her paws starting to hurt under her, she pushed past the entrance. Anemoneshade was getting tired of always waiting on this guy. "Hey, Bloodystar! We need to talk."
Jetfire laid in the main cavern of the High Priest's den, her four kits curled up sleeping at her side. Her belly was still bound tightly to keep the deep wound on her belly from breaking open, but she was looking far more alive than she had in quite a while. The color of her cheeks had returned, and there was some life behind the eyes that had looked distant for so long. However, they shortage food and stress of the looming battle still had affected her as well. She was thinner, and it was becoming more and more difficult to produce enough milk to feed her newborns. She lifted her head, blinking as the pregnant she-cat entered "Anemoneshade' she greeted. It wasn't all that unusual to have visitors, so she didn't think much of it. Many cats came here to be treated, and with Anemoneshade's heavily swollen belly it wasn't hard to imagine why she would be here
"Come on in, Bloodystar should be back soon. He is checking on some of the patients in the treatment den" Jetfire curled her tail around her little ones, soothing them back to sleep as they heard her voice

Her words caught in her throat at Jetfire's voice. It was silly to not think she would be in here, but she didn't expect to see her before anyone else. Hazel eyes glanced between the mother and her kits. Anemoneshade wasn't sure what to think of Jetfire. The she-cat had obviously been through a lot, but was also an obstacle for Anemone to get to Bloody. Maybe Jet was a bigger obstacle in her head than in reality, but she didn't care to think about it right now. She had only talked to the Little kits in cursory, the usual semantics before they went on with their lives.
"Ah, alright. Thank you." Anemoneshade settled a bit away, her own tail wrapping around her stomach. She couldn't wait to get them out and not feel awful all the time. It used to be a dream, to serve Sunclan this way. Now she was considering if one litter was enough. "How are they?" She whispered, trying not to wake Jetfire's litter again.

Jetfire looked up "They are...." what was she supposed to say? She would be lying if she said that they were doing well, but Bloodystar also hadn't made any of their issues common knowledge "still recovering" she finally added, settling back into her nest so that she wouldn't wake the sleeping kits. "Bloodystar is hopeful that they will be ok with time" as far as anyone else knew, she had been tragically poisoned by Ghostcrown which is what caused both them and she to be so sickly. She still had yet to make much of an appearance out of the High Priest's den, being nest bound so that her long and jagged scar wouldn't break open once more.

Anemoneshade remembered that. She didn't look too much at the scar, her gaze now circling around the floor. It was such an absurd tale. The others... and Bloodystar, executed Ghostcrown so fast, it was unbelievable. Seeds of doubt had been planted in her mind, and each day it was like the one she wanted to trust kept watering them. Why kill him so fast? What else did he know? Anemoneshade couldn't know. She wasn't particularly close to him, but seeing him get executed hadn't sat right. Watching it made her stomach turn, made her worry about the fate of her kits in her now. All she knew was that that day was getting closer.
But what was she supposed to say? "Good." The air between the two was awkward. The conversation like a stumbling dance that ended in both of them stepping on the other's feet. Anemoneshade had questions, those seeds starting to take root. Jetfire looked worse than she would have thought. And she wondered what she would look like if she was cooped up in here too? Maybe it was a saving grace she was with the rest of the queens. A part of her wanted to dance around the issue, but she was never the type for that. No, this was a lot faster. "But, one question and then I'll leave you be. Bloodystar, he lied. Right?"
