Oakshade... his name repeated over and over again in Tinymutiny's mind. The image of him dying as she laid on his stomach begging and pleading burned into her memory like an infected wound leaking fowl thoughts of murder and revenge. It had taken her so long to open her heart to him, so long to move past her fears of being vulnerable to be able to allow him control over her heart.
She had warned him that being with her would end up getting him killed. Not once, not twice, but hundreds of times. Over and over again she had tried to push him away, to convince him that she didn't have any feelings for him so that he would leave. Yet no matter how hard she pushed, slaps she gave him, or lies that she told he just kept returning to her side. Fate... Destiny... Stubbornness ... What ever you wanted to call it, it always ended the same. With the two of them together once more. Why had she given in to his goofy smiles and bad puns. Deep down she had known it was going to happen eventually, that he would shatter her heart into a million pieces and scatter them into the wind leaving her grasping for the remnants. She just couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that he was gone, that he had died as she laid upon his chest. It was a nightmare, a trick, an illusion.
Tinymutiny's eyes fluttered open, the lands around her familiar and yet not. It looked like SunClan, but the scents were all wrong. It was like a bad dream, as she jerked herself to her paws. Her neck was stiff and sore, his vision still blurred from the effects of the poison. She lifted her paw to her throat where her wounds had been bound as she ripped them off her bindings and threw them hard against the wall leaving claw marks across her skin as an unfamiliar cat raced in at the sound. She moved forward not really looking at the cat or responding to the words that were coming out of their mouth, her eyes forward steps unfaltering until the cat laid a paw on her shoulder to guide her back to the makeshift nest. With a flash of her paw, she felt her claws slash through flesh as the blurred figure before her fell. She stepped over the gasping shuddering body leaving it to its fate. Her face remaining blank and emotionless even as the cat she had killed began to take their last breaths. Oakshade... She had to find Oakshade. This was just a nightmare, he wasn't really dead. He couldn't be, she refused to believe it. All she needed to do was find him and that goofy grin of his, thats right. She would find him and he would cuddle her close and he would grin and tell her everything was going to be ok and call her a mousebrain for worrying so much. Then he flick her nose and they would laugh about how this had all been some sort of big misunderstanding. Yes... Yes... That what was going to happen, everything would ok once she had found him... They could be happy again. Wasn't that what he had said to her? Stay happy... JadieHoneystorm

Vixenkismet had gotten bandaged up by Funk, and by now, she decided to check in on Tinymutiny... only to find Barbatos, a League tom who was watching over her, dead. As far as she could tell, Tinymutiny was the only one present, and presumably the one who'd killed him. Cursing, she followed her daughter's trail as fast as she could, considering how beat up she was. "Tinymutiny?" She called, as the scent became stronger.
Tinymutiny let her paws carry her, the path she had walked a thousand times some how seemed different. She hadn't bothered to wash her paws of the blood that stained them, leaving a trail of fading red footprints in her wake. The wound her neck had begun to weep, blood trickling down her chest. Oakshade... Oakshade... she had to to find him. He was probably worried sick over her by now, and she was sure to get a lecture when they were finally reunited. Perhaps she should stop and get him a present on the way home. Something to make him not so upset with her. But what? A rose? She began to cackle at thought, that wasn't her style and then he really might die of a heart attack. No a rose wasn't the answer.... But the manic laughter was the only response Vixenkismet would get as her words fell on deaf ears.
Ah that's it... A grin spread over her face as she remembered the first time they had met. That was the answer, remind him of that and he wouldn't be able to stay angry. Suddenly her path changed, making a sharp right as they came across some thick undergrowth and she dropped into a hunter's crouch moving forward quickly and silently "There, there, just like that little snake" she cooed, a slight rustle in the bushes as she moved. Suddenly she lept forward high into the air, coming down hard and falling into a flash of claws and rolling through the undergrowth as she became ensnared tighter and tighter as she fought. After a few moments she stood looking down at her leg, blood trickling down from her shoulder "Good snake, bite hard and deep. You have to stay there until we get back to oakshade. He'll be so happy to see you" she rose to her paw emerging, a vine wrapped tightly around her leg stuck to her by it's thorns

Foxbane moved faster at the laughter from Tinymutiny, her stomach sinking. Suddenly, this seemed like it would be a lot more difficult. She was going as fast as she could without ruining Funk's hard work to treat her. She had to think quickly, where would Tinymutiny go? Looking for Oakshade, or his body. She'd been so insistent on trying to stay with his body, when Vixenkismet knew that she needed proper treatment, and she wouldn't get that in SunClan camp right now. So she spun suddenly, heading for the gorge. Sooner or later, that was where her daughter was bound to go, though hopefully she'd intercept the feline before then.
The snake firmly in place, Tinymutiny moved walking precariously along the edge of the gorge. Oakshade... She couldn't wait to see his face when she waltzed into camp carrying a snake on her leg. She could almost hear the lecture now about how dangers and foolish it was, but then he'd smile and make listening to him droning on worth it. Maybe he'd even decide that she should have consequences, but those always ended in kisses and warm embraces...
She stumbled, only just managing to catch herself before completely loosing her balance and falling down into the gorge. Small stones tumbled downwards landing at Vixenkismet's paws. Tinymutiny began to giggle like a young kit with their own little joke "Oakshade will be so mad" she sang, continuing on her perilous path "Maybe I should just stay up here and let him come find me" she mused aloud talking to herself, her paws slipping on the loose stones that lined the edge of the gorge "OOOOHHHHH OAKSHADE" she called loudly, her voice echoing like thunder through the gorges "It's time to come and save your princess"

Foxbane had judged correctly, and soon found Tinymutiny simply traipsing along the edge of the gorge, trying to get herself killed. Unlike Senescence, who seemed to have great balance and luck with surviving such things, the younger she-cat was probably not so lucky. Or sane. She crept up behind her daughter on light paws, at the very last moment lunging and grabbing Tinymutiny by the scruff, pulling back to throw her to safety, the momentum pulling her a few paces away from the edge as well. Not to mention tearing open her wounds again, and the scent of blood filled the air as the cobwebs around her body slowly began to turn crimson. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, TINYMUTINY!?"

"OAKSHADE, I just knew you would...." her words coming to a screeching halt as she landed hard on her back against the ground and the sound of her mother's voice reached her ears. That wasn't her mate's voice, Oakshade was supposed to be the one to save her not her mother. She growled, pushing away from the ground her gaze frosted over as she stared past Vixenkismet instead of at her before walking forward "Oakshade, you no good mousebrained son of MoonClan warrior"she muttered under her breath her tail lashing "Next time I say come and get your princess you better not mess up" he lip was turned up in a fierce snarl "You should be ashamed of yourself, letting someone save me other than you. I thought you loved me, let's try this again. Yes?" he paws were carrying her back towards the edge of the gorge "This time you should be faster, and try not to be so rough this time you big brute. You know I hate it when you call me princess, and the one time I give you the chance you decide your not the one to save me. What nerve... I even went and found a snake for you, just like old times. Better hurry!! It might be poisonous! Leave it to long and you'll have to suck it out"

Yep, her daughter was insane. "Oakshade is dead, he's not coming to save you." Vixenkismet's voice was utterly blunt as she stepped forward with Tinymutiny, grabbing her by the 'snake' and tugging on it, hard, forcing her to at least stop, if not hopefully pull her back a few paces. "You need to get back to your nest, before you get yourself hurt again."
It seemed like her mother's words didn't reach her, but the moment that she touched her snake something snapped as she whipped around claws slicing through the air instead of flesh as she blindly lashed out "THAT SNAKE IS FOR OAKSHADE" she screamed moving forward in an uncoordinated attack her moves fluid and hard to read with no real set stance or pattern "ITS... HIS...ONLY" she screeched swiping between each of her words, but the experienced former Hight Priestess would probably be able to escape from even in her injured state "We have a date tonight, and I won't be late" her blows becoming slower until finally stopping "He will be so happy to see me" she mewed, tilting her head to the side as if she was deep in thought "MY FUR" she wailed turning and rapidly licking at it haphazardly "If he sees me like this it will make him worry"

It was easy to dodge, between both their injuries, and well, Tinymutiny's... erratic state, it wasn't something she had to worry about, sliding out of the way on instinct as thorns bit into her paw. "How about you come with me and we can get you all dolled up?" Foxbane questioned, thinking quickly. "We can get it all smooth and painted and pretty. Make you look stunning."
Tinymutiny seemed to like the sound of that, her growls turning into purrs as she closed her eyes and hummed, getting to her paws an approaching Vixenkismet rubbing up against her legs like a kit "Oh wonderful, we have to use lots of reds and yellows, Oakshade is always talking about how hot it makes me look" her tail tickled her mothers chin, before she flashed around grabbing her mother's chin in her claws and dragging her face to hers "You better make it the best paint job you have ever done, or I'll do your in blood" she spit, before raising her paw and patting her mother on the head "Oh and don't forget the glitter, It'll look so good when the sunlight hit it!" she chirpped
