Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The six moon old tom walked nervously through the autumn colored woods. Only when he strode a little too far over the border did he realize he was far from where he'd started. He turned back to look at the way he came, but the path back became less clear. Was he lost? His mom was going to kill him. Sure she always said don't come back, but if he actually obeyed that she would drag him back by the ear. His bright amber gaze searched the perimeter carefully, he was pretty sure he could smell other cats scents, but his nose wasn't highly trained in recognizing scents quite yet to know for certain.
Still the woodland area was beautiful, different than where he came from so instead of attempting to turn back he moved forward. Home had to be behind him... At least he was pretty sure.

"Fox dung, not again..." Ravenspaw hissed as he watched through a narrowed blue gaze as the bird he had been stalking took to the sky, leaving behind a trail of feathers that gracefully floated onto the ground below. The black-furred tom sat down angrily, his tail lashing from side to side. The bird hadn't exactly had a quiet flight. It cawed so loudly that he was sure the prey in Winterclan would have heard it. He'd be lucky if he found so much as a mouse now. "Vixensong is going to love this..." He grumbled as he could only imagine the scolding he would get from his sister. Ravenspaw's ears twitched at the subtle sound of something moving around in the undergrowth, and he quickly snapped his head in the direction it came from. Maybe he would be able to return to camp with something after all. The young apprentice quickly dropped into a crouch, slowly moving forward and being sure to keep his steps light so as not to scare this bit of prey off. His breathing slowed as he carefully moved beneath the thorned branches of a bramble bush. Closer... closer...now! Ravenspaw leapt out of the bush, paws outstretched. But when he saw that it had been another cat around the same age, he quickly tried to skid to a halt. However, the black tom tripped over his paws. He tumbled and rolled past the other cat and straight into another bush
Okay so if the wind was blowing to the east and he was in the north and the scents of WinterClan are coming from the east then he must not be too-
Suddenly a black furred tom leapt out from the bushes at him like he were prey. Rottenpaw had to raise a brow, as no one had really tried to sneak up on him for an attack before. Instead the black tom skidded in an attempt to change directions, tripped, and slid right into the nearest bush with what he felt was a cartoonishly loud crash. Rottenpaw winced before laughing nervously, happy that it at least wasn't him tangled up in the bushes. Ten times out of ten he was always the one getting hurt.
"Are you alright?" Rottenpaw asked with uncertainty, already backing up, "I was just trying to find my way back, I don't-" He paused wondering if he should complete his sentence. He wanted to say he didn't want to be taken prisoner, but even prisoners were treated better than him. But he couldn't leave his family behind, "I don't want to be taken prisoner," He said finishing his sentence, not knowing that most clans weren't cruel enough to even have a prison for intruders and punished clan members.

The only response Rottenpaw would have gotten was a string of curses as Ravenspaw attempted to drag himself out of the bush. He let out a short yowl as his flank was pinched between two smaller sticks. It was all it took to catapult the black-furred apprentice out of the bush and back into the small clearing. His ice-blue eyes glared at his flank before he quickly bent down and smoothed out the fur. When he looked up he focused his gaze on the other cat before him. He couldn't have been much older than he was. If Ravenspaw had to guess, he would say this cat was an apprentice just like he was.
"Huh? Oh yea, I'm fine" Ravenspaw said as he offered the other tom a smile. "It's not the first time I landed in a bush, won't be the last. You're a long way from home huh?" He questioned, tasting the air briefly. No, he wasn't a Fallclan apprentice. He must have come from another mountain clan. He flicked his ears briefly as he listened to the other apprentice before letting out a quick laugh. "I don't think Fallclan takes prisoners. At least there's none that I've seen."
Rottenpaw looked away from the other tom, afraid that he would laugh. There was never once a single person he felt at equal status ranking to and this apprentice certainly seemed at a higher social status than him. He looked well fed, he was able to talk freely, he had a good nature that wasn't hardened with abuse. Rottenpaw felt jealous looking at the other apprentice and even given the ridiculous state of the guy he couldn't bring himself to so much as smile.
"Oh," Rottenpaw responded, but even though the other apprentice had just told him there was no prison he somehow felt certain that that was just what FallClan wanted WinterClan cats to think. As though everything were a conspiracy, corrupted, although in his life that was true.
He stood there for a moment looking at the other time as though expecting him to show his true self. The one that wasn't silly, but cruel and demanding, but it never seemed to come. Internally he decided not to judge the apprentice until he gave him reason too while also not getting his hopes up that Ravenspaw would be nice. "Um. My names-" He began, but stopped, it felt humiliating to say his name was Rottenpaw, maybe he could be someone else for a day, "Jaypaw." he liked the sound of that instantly. He grinned sharply, "I get in fights all the time so I kind of get banged up a lot," He said gesturing to his scars, for once they felt less like times he was defeated by his step dad and more like something to be impressed about. "What's your name... Kid?" Okay so he was still getting into this new persona role, but he felt good about it!

"Jaypaw, huh? Guess I'm not the only one named after a bird." The blackfurred tom said with a lopsided grin. "My name is Ravenspaw! Nice to meet you Jaypaw." The apprentice leaned down to scratch at an itch behind his ear before he straightened up again. "Though... I don't think you're that much older than me." He couldn't help but chuckle at that. They seemed to be around the same height, and so Ravenspaw assumed that they were around the same age. It was only logical to think that way, and his sister did tell him that he had to start thinking with his brain a lot more. But his ice-blue eyes were instantly drawn towards the scars that Rottenpaw had mentioned. Admiration quickly shadowed his face as he looked them over.
"That's so cool...!" Ravenspaw exclaimed, his tail waving in the air behind him. "I haven't gotten into any fights yet. Don't have as many cool scars. I bet they have a lot of cool stories behind them."
"Oh yeah, plenty," Rottenpaw said. Even though he knew full well they weren't fights at all, it couldn't be called a fight when a full grown warrior held a kit down. But it was nice to pretend that he was really an adventurer cat who had brushes with death all in exchange for a fun exhilarating life. "Like um. These ones on my tail. Once I went out fishing in the great lakes, you know the waters with salt that go on for eternity. Well while I was fishing this big fish bit my tail. I had to scamper out onto the shores, but the fish was strong in the water. It had teeth too, and kept trying to pull me back into the water. It was a tug of war, I'm not sure how long it lasted, but eventually I pried my tail away from the fish. But because of how long the fight last I have all these long cuts along my tail. Just a reminder that I wasn't going to be anyone's prey," He boasted.
He knew he should be ashamed of himself for lying and even if that actually happened to him he certainly shouldn't be bragging. But he was never allowed to tell a lie before or brag, or be proud or anything, this felt like a new freedom. "But um. What's your life like?" He asked, far more interested in Ravenspaw's stories than his own made up ones.

Ravenspaw looked at his tail with awe, his own slender tail swaying happily behind him. The black-furred apprentice muttered a small awesome under his breath before he looked back up at Rottenpaw. "That must have been one big fish! I've only ever seen the small fishes and they never put up a fight. They're really dumb too, not that smart." He commented with a small snort. "I bet all the girls swoon at the sight of your scars. Or the guys. Whatever floats your boat." He said with a small shrug.
"Me? Nothing too interesting." Ravenspaw admitted. "I do my training, head back to the camp, fool around with my sister, and do it all again the next day. It gets kind of... boring I guess... nothing really exciting. But one day, I think I'm going to travel! Visit all the clans, see the world! Wouldn't that be amazing?"
"What do you mean, how big can the world possibly be?" Rottenpaw asked in confusion. He had walked quite a lot, finding the Regime and now FallClan, but he couldn't imagine the world being even bigger than that. Not that it mattered, demons would never be accepted anywhere, killed on sight if anyone knew what they really were. At least that's what WinterClan told him and his siblings, which was another big reason why despite the abuse that he tried to cover it up with stories of heroism rather than what really happened.
His stomach suddenly growled, that part he couldn't hide, just how thin he was. WinterClan was actually doing very well with their prey, but he was always kept thin. He could still feeling the bruising on his legs from when he was punished for eating too much. Looking up at the sky he realized he'd better run at the speed of light to get back home on time, but it was moments like these where he couldn't force himself to leave. He wanted to talk to Ravenspaw for hours about really anything, family, traditions, what his favorite activity was. "oh and also, not that I'm trying to ask for it, why haven't you been hostile to me, I am invading after all."

Ravenspaw flicked his ears before he let out a chuckle. "I wouldn't say you're invading. You're not posed to attack, and if you were, you would have done it by now. Not that I wouldn't be able to take you on. I mean... I may look lanky, but don't be fooled, I have some power behind these legs." He said with a cheeky wink. "Besides, do you know how many stories I've heard of clan cats just waltzing into other territories because they have family in another clan? I'd say you're fine. Anyway, as to your first question... come with me. I'll show you what I mean."
The black-furred apprentice got to his paws as he started walking past Rottenpaw. He looked back quickly and beckoned him to follow with a flick of his tail. "Don't worry. I don't think this spot is claimed by any clan. It doesn't have any scent markers, I think it's no man's land or something. We can get something to eat too once we get there."
