Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"These are your new little sisters and brother," Dottymask whispered softly to her older litter as she showed them her newborn kits cuddled close to her belly, "I'm not oblivious to the scowling faces you give me for how I treat you. I do what's best and I accept that you'll never forgive me. But you should know that when all of you were born I cradled you all so close to me just like this. I would always fall asleep with a different one of you in my paws every night."
She stared at her newborns for a moment longer. Back then she thought things would get better, that Wintrystar would see her kits were obedient, loyal, and well behaved. She thought if they suffered enough that Wintrystar would see and their names would be changed, but that hadn't happened. "I expect you all to be good older siblings."
For as cruel as Dottymask was she never openly introduced her kits as being adopted unless someone initially referred to them as such. They were always her oldest litter or her demonic litter, but never adopted because that was never what they meant to her. They were her burden and their lives were for her to mourn over.
"I think that's all, remember my sweet demons, listen to your younger siblings every word, but... You may override it should their lives be put at risk. Then your in charge until mama comes and handles things," Dottymask said with a wink before walking past her kits
Fluffykit blinked before staring at her new recruits, "Come, sit," She said, testing out basic commands before getting too excited. If neither of them listened then there would be a lot of work ahead of her.
Rottenpaw stared at Gallopingkit, his "little brother." He should hate him, he looked just like his abusive step dad, but then again, actually being related to the guy sounded awful so maybe he should be feeling sorry for the brat.
Soullespaw clenched her jaw. She was no one's servant. She belonged to no one, especially entitled brats like them. She waited for her mother to leave before locking eyes with Heavenlykit. She raised a brow and pulled up her lips ever so slightly so the kitten could see her teeth. At least she didn't have Fluffykit or Rosemarykit to put up with. Those two were by far the worst of the litter. It took a demon to know one.

"Yes miss" replied Dirtypaw with a shy smile, making her way over to Fluffykit and sitting down with her spine straight, eyes downcast, and her tail neatly folded over her paws. None of her siblings had seen her for some time, having reappeared just in time for the ceremonies. He pelt was well groomed with no tangles, despite being covered in a thick layer of dirt to hide her demon markings and the scars that now riddled her back from the failed exorcism. Faith

Maggotpaw was different without his other eye. The socket had closed, grown over with white fur that made him almost look natural. It was like once that eye was stolen, so was all his vitality. His zest for life. His bravery. If his mother's words ever rang in his mind, he stopped showing it. Now he just ran off at the first sign of conflict. It hurt a little, but what else was he supposed to do. He was still small for his age, not that much bigger than the very cat he was supposed to serve. Thankfully for Fluffykit at least, he really learned to hold his tongue. So he walked over and sat where she motioned. Spine not as straight, more hunched over like he just wanted to disappear. But he listened.

How was Heavenlykit supposed to handle this? It's like her mother gave her two of the more rebellious siblings. She didn't wanna boss them around. Heavenlykit was at least thankful she wasn't given Maggotpaw, she could barely look at him without feeling guilt ripping at her stomach. She caught Soullesspaw's gaze and her ears pinned to the back of her skull, looking away like it would somehow help.
"Fluffykit, no fair, you got Dirtypaw!" Rosemarykit squeaked shortly after Dottymask padded away. She looked over at Brokenpaw and Fallenpaw and just grimaced, they weren't the worst of the demons but they were a far cry from the best, which was all that she would accept. Her dark eyes rested on the mud-covered apprentice and she was struck again with pangs of jealously when she saw the light reflecting off the jewels in her ears. A failed exorcism. She was dying to learn more about it, "Do you want to trade? Or maybe can I borrow her for a little bit?"
Sinfulpaw let Dottymask droll on without interrupting her. She had no intentions of following her rule from the very beginning of this little family meeting. At least her "master" Heavenlykit who seemed to be the weakest willed of the lot. She stood up and stretched, already nearly the size of Dottymask despite her young age, and let out an obnoxiously loud yawn, "Allllright, Heavenlykit, what's your first order?"
Fluffykit's tail wagged with a genuine bright smile before composing herself. She cleared her throat, "Yeah, good, whatever," She said passively, her voice rough and scratchy.
EDIT: Suddenly her system chimed in, Dirtypaw huh? She didn't like Dirtypaw, she always got mothers attention far more, there was a more sincere look of love than she ever gave her. "Go play with someone else's belongings, they're mine Rosemarykit. I don't need you doing weird stuff to them and ruining my play things," Fluffykit scoffed, but after a moment of hesitation added, "If you want to use them I'll think about it, but I'll approve what you use them for, got it? No going behind my back messing with my stuff or I'll mess you up worse." She couldn't resist her sisters charm.
She gave a thoughtful look before pacing back and forth in front of her servants as she spoke, "Here's the basics, I expect respect and if you're going to do something stupid... I want a heads up!" She turned and got into each of their faces, "Capeesh?"
She brushed some snow off of her fur, "Now then. Do you maybe want to play fight? Oh! Hey! You're apprentices, you could show me some moves," She said, not realizing that they were barely trained.

Fallenpaw couldn't say she was pleased to be placed under Rosemarykit, whom she knew as one of the harsher of the bunch. A sense of confusion and disappointment crept into her the longer she processed this turn of events. Fallenpaw had always been obedient and submissive and Dottymask had rewarded her with several opportunities to improve her position in the clan. So this, despite knowing the assignment would eventually come, was as painful as any physical blow. Why was she being punished like this? A question she'd likely never get an answer to because she would never confront her "mother" about anything. Slowly, her gaze shifted to Brokenpaw, the other cat unfortunate enough the be paired with Rosemarykit. Although she wasn't very close with any of her siblings, she did wonder how the other was handling this news.

Dirtypaw remained still, the gentle smile never fading from her face as the two sisters fought over her. Her eyes firmly on the ground, watching the shadow as Fluffykit paced in front of them "Yes miss, if that is what you desire" Dirtypaw remained stiff and rigid, unmoving until commanded to do so. Her ears were folded over from the weight of the crystals, glimmering as they reflected the light from the sun

Maggotpaw nodded. His basic orders were easy. It was better than having Rosemarykit. Maybe there was some fire under that, but for now he stayed focused. Now he needed... to live. His tail stopped flicking at the mention of fighting. They never play fought as kits, and he felt nauseous at the thought of training to fight. But he had to try. He wasn't as still as Dirtypaw, wasn't as practiced. But he waited for that command.
"Um..." Heavenlykit pulled at the fur on her legs. Trying to relieve the anxiety she felt. But it didn't work. Glancing to the side too quickly to see if Dotty was watching her, she stopped. It was a habit that her mother was trying to train out of her. "L-Like Fluffy said, I'd like a heads up if you wanna do something more...rebellious." Her eyes were glued to her paws, once again pulling at her fur as she fell silent.
This was gonna be too easy. Heavenlykit didn't demand respect like the others. Not that she would have given it anyway. Soullesspaw almost grieved for the ones stuck with Rosemarykit and Fluffykit. The she-kit in front of her couldn't have been a better pick for her. Soullesspaw gave the kitten a smile and said "Consider yourself warned. We're done here." She got up and walked away from the kitten.
