Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The proud feline's outline flickered between a cat and a lioness as she stood on the rock before Rosepaw, outlined against a brilliant dreamscape sky. She was the first thing Rosepaw would be aware of when she fell into her dreams.
A few quick bounds brought the deputy down to the young cat's level, and she peered down at her through thoughtful pale green eyes. So this was her kin, her young relative that had traveled so far to reach her domain once again. Hazethroat had difficulty seeing outside of WinterClan sometimes; it was too far to travel to the hot lands and the Sun God did not want for her to visit, but she strove to look over her daughter as much as she could. Bot her family was returning to her once more.
The cream she-cat smiled. "Welcome home, Rosepaw."

Frightened by the lion perching on the rock, Rosepaw took a step back her fur bristling as she dropped into a defensive stance watching as one moment it was a lioness and the next a she-cat. Instead of running, Rosepaw swiped as she jumped down beside of her, her claws going straight through her hitting only air. She jumped back, tail twitching as she tried to figure out what was going on. Her sister had talked on and on about their great grandfather goldenstar, but she had never seen him. Perhaps it was her turn to see a ghost "and who might you be?" she asked suspiciously
At least she was feisty. Hazethroat didn't flinch as claws passed harmlessly through her fur; she didn't even feel the whisper of air around them. It had been a long time since she had felt the touch of the elements.
"It's a shame that you don't know," she clicked her tongue disapprovingly, "but I suppose my husband was always about appearances, and he would have loathed sharing the spotlight with me. I got him in the end though, didn't I?" Her chilled smile was almost malicious. "My name is Hazethroat, dear, deputy of WinterClan, mate of Goldenstar, mother of Littlestar... so many relations, you know, it's too tedious to list them all."

The only name she recognized off that list was Goldenstar, and she had never even met him having only appeared in Brindlepaw's dreams "Look I don't know why you and your husband are set on me and my sister, but you should stop. Everyone thinks Brindlepaw is crazy when she said that Goldenstar had brought us to WinterClan, and I won't have them thinking that I am crazy to. So just go on and poof or what ever it is you ghosts do to disappear. We have a good thing going here and I'm not going to mess it up for you" she sat down her red tail folding neatly over back paws, as she lifted her front paw to shoo the she-cat away
Her lips pursed in a thin smile of limited patience.
"Indigopastels has done a poor job of educating her young. All this time you've been related to greatness - has she never mentioned it?" Hazethroat snorted. "If she thinks ignoring us will save your souls, she's doing you both a disservice. You can't deny your heritage any more than you can run from it. And if you don't want to look crazy," she waved her tail dismissively, "just don't go around shouting it to the treetops."

"and what's so great about two long dead cats, who have nothing better to do than haunt the living?" she scoffed turning her nose up to the care "The only cats I care about is my living family. You ghosts an go and die for all I care. Oh wait, you already have" the young apprentice looked her up and down as if trying to figure out what the whole big fuss was about "Fervidsummer has taken us in as her own kits, and raised us since our arrival here in WinterClan, so why would I care If I'm related to some by gone leader and his mate made deputy? If anything that will only served to harm our reputation, seeing as in how you both through the clan into chaos when you decided to kill one another and leave the clan leaderless" she had heard the storied that the older cats spoke of, but naturally tales had become twisted over time. Turning both of them into villain's, the details muddied
"Don't be so angry, dear, it makes you look so dimwitted. I know you must be more clever than that, you have my blood. Fervidsummer is of no use to you, her blood is impure at best, and you must have been by now how little these cats care for her kind. Your blood is still tainted, but at least you have some pure blood, from the strongest family lines in the clan. If you ever want to be truly accepted by this clan, you'll need to prove your worth."
Hazethroat had not walked here for many moons, but she knew they would be as strict about purebloods as they always had been. Two outsider apprentices, especially when raised by a warrior that had been an outsider herself, would never be treated as fairly as a cat born to a noble bloodline. Proving her relation was the only way Rosepaw would ever fit in here.
"Besides," she smiled, "I've always been proud that I could throw this clan so easily into ruin, and all I had to do was kill one cat. Imagine what chaos I could cause now... or that you could if it's to your taste."

Rosepaw shrugged, but Hazedthroat did have a point. Even though they were not treated terribly, neither were they really accepted into the clan "Look all I care about is keeping my sister safe and sound, and while it would be nice to be able to prove that we are from a WinterClan bloodline I don't see what you expect for me to do about it. Go back and say that my great grandmother's ghost came back to tell me" she rolled her eyes
"If you don't have a better plan than that than you are nothing more than a dim-witted spirt whasting my precious time, that I could be using to actually accomplish something"
Hazethroat eyed her, deciding this particular apprentice was becoming tedious. Of course, her mate claimed the softer of their descendants to guide: he would want the easy way out. She was used to putting in the hard work, but this time, she decided she was done pushing it. Rosepaw was a smart cat, and if she didn't realize now that her sister would be safer as a pureblood, she would soon.
"Perhaps you are too naive for this after all," she sighed with a disapproving twitch of her whiskers. Would she have come all this way without a plan? A smart cat would have wondered why she chose to come at all: certainly, the frosty feline cared little about her legacy, and even less now. "When you're ready to take this seriously, come and find me." She rose to her paws to leave, no longer playing games here. If Rosepaw wasn't going to address her respectfully, she wouldn't help at all.
