Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"And I told you, they have the best soil in DayClan!"
That was how Speckles ended up on the border, peering curiously into foreign lands. Was it true that they had the richest, most fruitful soil in their territory? The other warriors told him so, and they had laughed as he walked away, but he was happy just to find out. Speckles wasn't a dirt expert, he wasn't very interested in soil or what grew from it, but if someone else was interested he wouldn't judge them! Festeringfruit had asked him to check out the soil here, and he would do anything for his friend.
His head held high, the gray tom trotted across the border into DayClan territory. He headed on until he found a spot softened by the recent rain; then he crouched down and began to dig.

It was still odd.
Especially when a tiny ginger tom came across the scene of some cat digging a hole. It wasn't hard to miss, especially as dirt was flung up way higher than he thought it should be. Some showered on him, and Smolderingcomet immediately shook to get it off. He hated the feeling of anything on his pelt. Mildly ticked off, he adjusted around to where the dirt wouldn't hit him and looked down. Only to see a cat he didn't even know. Great, just what was this guy doing? "Hey." He yelled it, but there was no energy behind it. Like he was already tired from whatever this was going to be.
He was digging a nice, deep hole, hoping to sample from a few levels. Sometimes when you dug down deep enough, there was wet clay that was easy to shape and mold if you could scrape it free, which was easier said than done. It could be as touch as rocks when it was dry. Speckles was struggling to find any when he heard a yell from above and stopped, craning his head back to look up at the other cat. His hind paws perched mostly on land, one paw planted flat on the ground, and the other mud-caked and held in midair, the speckled gray tom looked far from threatening.
"Hello up there! I'm just digging up some dirt. Did you want some?"

"...I'm good. Especially since this is our dirt." Smolderingcomet held back his sigh. Who even was this guy? Just digging up dirt like this? Even the supposed plant freaks wouldn't do this. Now the field was gonna have a bald spot and he did not care for that at all. "Who are you, anyway?" Dayclan had open borders, so he couldn't really kick this guy out. Much as he wanted. But maybe he could distract him enough to forget what he was doing.
Confident the other tom was not going to attack him, he leaned over the hole and continued digging. "Festeringfruit asked me to dig around here and test the dirt. He claims it's far better here," he explained. "More nutritious, maybe; is it because of the sun, or the rain?" The gray tom didn't look up once as he spoke. He dropped further into the hole, pulling a loose clump of dirt and clay up from the bottom.

Smolderingcomet exhaled harshly, his lips trilling against each other as another clump of clay nearly missed him. Gee, who did this cat think he is? Or really, who was this Festeringfruit? He never really paid attention to the other clans, but now kicked himself for not paying attention during the gatherings. The warrior straightened himself a bit, though it didn't lead to him getting any taller. "How do you even plan to test the soil? Digging it all up isn't gonna help you. Sounds like this Festeringfruit sent you on a wild goose chase." He wasn't very good at being strict, but he also really didn't wanna clean all this up.
