Dirtypaw had been sitting near the entrance to the nursery so none of the kits would sneak out when the branch fell, knocking his backwards and rolling her deeper inside. She got to her paws slowly, the smile from her face never fading as she smoothed her dirt crusted coat back into proper position so that she wouldn't get in trouble. She didn't make so much as a squeak, despite it being completely unexpected. She then looked over to the kits curled up with one of her own siblings, simply watching as if nothing had happened Faith
Dappledglacier had be resting in her nest, her looming kitting imminent. He sides so heavily swollen that it made getting up and down difficult and uncomfortable. The crack of the branch as it fell had awoken her, her head snapping upwards
Rosepaw leaned into her sister, fur bristling out against the cold and have to step to the side to avoid a falling branch "No sister, it's not our place to do anything" she let her fur brush up against Brindlepaw's "This isn't our fight"Jadie

Talonstrike nodded along, agreeing wholeheartedly with Cloudywinter. “Listen you your wife, Flickeringflames, if you won’t listen to me.” The large somali said in his deep voice. Flickeringflames looked up at her brother before glancing back at her mate. In truth, the russet colored she-cat could care less what kind of god Mousepaw believed in. She was entitled to believe in the Sun God if that was her religion, just as much as Flickeringflames was entitled to believe in her gods. But she just nodded and pressed her nose against Cloudywinter’s cheek. “I… I guess you’re right…” She said, trying to be heard above the roaring wind. pao
Snowbunny stared in horror as his leader threatened to punish her own deputy to put her in line. That's what she was doing to him, worse yet was the solitude weighed on him in every way Wintrystar wanted. He was uncomfortable, his pelt hadn't known warmth for weeks now. He had been trained to obey a commanding force, that if he didn't he was a traitor. Now even given the circumstances he was believing that he was in the wrong, not Wintrystar. Prison stole away all of his dignity from him, Stormyblizzard would learn for herself that too if this was her fate. WinterClan never gave up on beating a lesson into a disobedient cats skull. He froze when he heard his mate speak, his head turning to Frostcloud with a look of fear. What would happen if Wintrystar locked them all up? Would they all have to grovel to her to give them a second chance. He clenched his jaw at the thought.
"Like I would ever want to look weak having someone like you owe me a favor," Howlingnight marveled as he walked the apprentice down the tunnels. He looked at Sinfulpaw while she wasn't looking, she looked a lot like her mom and in many ways acted like her too. She trusted no one, that was how she got as far as she did after all. Instead of injuring her by pushing her into the pit he leapt down on carefully placed, almost invisible ledges before landing inside. Lying like a corpse on the floor was Bluejay. There was no sign that she was breathing, her chest barely heaving with breath. She wasn't sedated, so much as her senses had been shut down. There was no ability to feel, smell, see, hear, taste, it was all stripped from her in order to prevent her wrath, but it had led to some... Unfavorable side effects. Turns out being trapped with nothing but your thoughts, simply existing alone for moons could drive a person mad. Instead of shutting down the experiment and letting her recover it felt like less work to just keep it going, it was a low maintenance torture.
Gripping Bluejay by the scruff he began the climb back out of the pit dragging her along with him until he reached the top. He placed her down to take a break from dragging her tail so many feet up.
Fluffykit grimaced watching the exchange between her sisters. Mom wasn't going to be happy that Rosemarykit hurt Heavenlykit, but she did have a point. "Rosemarykit has a point Heavenlykit. I think you're just soft, you don't know how good you have it. So maybe instead we should start treating you like them since you identify with demons as family more than us," She said rising out of her nest as she stalked over to Heavenlykit, "So what will it be, us or them?" Fluffykit lied her grey leopard pattern head down on Heavenlykit's shoulder rubbing into the side of her sisters face lovingly before cooing, "Don't let them deceive you Evanly, if they had the chance to have the status we do they'd ditch you in seconds. They're no better than us," She moved her head back before smacking her sister in the back of her head, which in Fluffykit's case was an affectionate slap, "Don't be an idiot, say you'll choose us," She smirked, standing back beside Rosemarykit.
JadieFaithstrawberrycupid Soullesspaw just stared down the small kitten as she raised her paw. She would give her hard slap across the face for that, and she thought she might. Her paw was off the ground, ready deal some discipline when Heavenlykit stepped in and took the hit for her. She stopped. No one had done something like that for since Jiltedlinx stood up for her. Granted, she doubted it was on purpose, but maybe she was different. On that thin hope, Soullesspaw instead sat down in front of Heavenlykit with her legs between Heavenlykit and her siblings. Should one of them strike her again, they'd hit Soullesspaw. Not a big deterrent, if not a reason to do it, but she at least owed Heavenlykit that much.
"She is your sister. Don't treat her like this." Her gaze swept between the Heavenlykit's siblings. "Here's the deal. Both of you will apologize for hitting your sister. She didn't deserve it. Y'all are just brats. Fluffykit, you're going to go back to your nest for the rest of the night. I think we all liked you better when you weren't here, so do us a favor and leave. Rosemarykit, I'm going tell you again: shut your trap, and mind your business." She cracked her shoulders. "Mom's already going to beat me for this, so, if you don't do what I say, now, I will slap both you on the head until you do." For emphasis she flashed a paw out and gave each of them a light pat/hit on top of the head. "Understand?"
"Never know. Something may happen and you can't stop it. Then you'll look even cooler than you do." There was some grit in Maggotpaw's words. He wished, somehow, in some way, that it would happen. Just to feel that little bit of vengeance. He didn't tend to touch much, but he considered draping his tail over Fluffykit when she got up and left. Maggotpaw stood up there shortly after and followed her.
Heavenlykit almost felt proud of herself, of standing up to Rosemarykit. But then she was smacked and tumbled down to the ground again. Her jaw slammed itself shut on the impact, teeth aching as she stood up again. "I-I'm not! I just..." Heavenlykit started, but she was shaking so hard. And it only worsened when Fluffykit joined them. Her little claws ran down her own chest, pulling fur out as Fluffykit spoke. Become one of them? No, she didn't want that. Heavenlykit was supposed to be silver, unbreakable. Why. Why couldn't she be soft? Why couldn't they let her handle it? "Just let me handle them on my ow-" She started, but was shoved into the snow by Fluffykit before she could finish, only a sharp squeak in it's place.
Tears mixed with the snow on the ground as Heavenlykit pulled herself out again. The hit was too hard, or she was too soft, but blood was dripping down her nose. The bit of dark flesh that separated her nostrils had split, but no one could really see it past Soullesspaw. "Wait. It's okay. They don't have to.. apologize." She started in a panic, but fell silent.
"Let's go then, young miss." Maggotpaw stood next to Soullesspaw now, wanting to at least get Fluffykit out of here. "I'm sure Dirtypaw and I can show you some new fighting tricks we've learned."
Stormyblizzard eyes widened at Wintrystars command, she stared at the Soveriegn for a moment before squaring her shoulders, ears flat against her head. "Punish me all you want, I will not stand by and twiddle my paws! This is wrong! You are so against everything that doesnt follow our ways or fit into our lives, you've let that hatred consume you, that fear, you arent even willing to listen to anyone who has an opinion that is different from your own!" She let out a growl, holding her ground, she knew this would not end well for her but it was far to late to think about the consequences now. "If this is Bluejays doing, you are most to blame for it!" She spat towards the leader.
“The you may join her in prison, Stormyblizzard. I am trying to save this clan form the destruction of a demon and you stand against me. No longer shall you be known as the Heir, a mere warrior on probation is more fitting. Spend the next moon in the prison and pray to teh Gods for mercy. You have stood against me, against this clan for the last time!” Phantom
No, I will not. The Gods have not spoken and Bluejay is guilty to these crimes. She shall see the punishment she deserves and face the God’s wrath. No go get her!” Wintrystar was furious and she spoke with conviction. Her eyes landed once more in camp. Her paws moving to the nursery, in the name of duty she would check on their who needed her in this moment. The kits and the warrior trapped under the tree branches. The kits first, for warriors we’re already working on freeing Rosettelatte and one more cat would only make it more difficult to do so. She approached the tree branch, searching around it and the nursery entrance for May kits that May be hurt or trapped.
Frostcloud obeyed and hesitantly moved toward the prison. She returned moments later with Bluejay, her head hanging low in shame. "I'm sorry for this." She whispered to Bluejay before they got too close to the other cats finding the prisoner guilty.
"..." Brindlepaw did not agree with her sister. The fact that she considered herself a WinterClan cat meant she was complicit in all this, that standing by and saying nothing was the same as doing it herself. So it was her fight. And one she wasn't ready for, not yet. She couldn't raise her voice and her paws felt glued to the ground, "Someday I'll change this..." racer
Sinfulpaw tensed as Howlingnight leapt ahead of her, the sudden motion indicative of a blow coming her way, but in the end she only felt like a fool for acting like she was afraid of him. However, her embarrassment evaporated when her eyes settled on the limp form of Bluejay.
"Mom."
It had been awhile since she'd seen the blue-black she-cat, but she'd never seen her in such bad shape before. It was like she was dead, but Sinfulpaw could just make out the rise and fall of her flank, slow and minimal, there was no way she was getting enough oxygen. Sinfulpaw did not try to stop Howlingnight whne he gripped the back of her next but she did lower herself to her mother's level, basically army crawling part of the way up the tunnel, "Mom... Mom! Wake up!"
Why didn't she just strike out at Howlingnight? Just the two of them alone, she stood a chance of at least giving him a hard time and a few scratches, even if winning the fight itself was hopeless. But something held her back, like a chain around her neck, each time she went to strike at him, or any of her tormentors, she felt absolutely paralyzed. She told herself it was because she didn't want to lower herself to their level, but it went deeper than that, a fearful emotion she refused to acknowledge.
So, when Frostcloud appeared and helped Howlingnight drag Bluejay the rest of the way out, all she could do was stand there and watch.
I didn't realize I was so weak. Faith (annnnd she'll stay in the prison for the rest of this rp, so that's a wrap on this scene)
"It's laughable that a demon like you even understands the mere concept of an apology," Rosemarykit fired at Soullesspaw, fluffy out her delicate downy fur. She stepped away from the apprentice and lined herself up with Fluffykit, her partner in crime, "You aren't Dottymask or Silverfury, just cuz mama told you to watch us doesn't mean that you are in charge. You sit down and shut up. Heavenlykit doesn't even want an apology, she knows she deserves it!" stardanceFaithstrawberrycupid
Howlingnight stood by Frostcloud's side, standing over Bluejay as though she were a prize he were displaying to Wintrystar. Bluejay was a menace, she terrorized DayClan and SunClan, responsible for their wildfires, responsible for causing the clans distress. Even when captured by a WinterClan patrol she was smart mouthed, stubbornly brave. Now she was reduced to little more than a large lump of black and silver fur.
Bluejay didn't move. Her body was being battered by flying debris, the sheer cold ripping through her long fur freezing into her skin, but there wasn't so much as a shiver. She didn't seem conscious, if it wasn't for her barely rising chest her motionless form could appear dead. Howlingnight had done his part to keep her subdued, pathetic to comfort Wintrystar's fear of a disastrous apocalypse like this happening from her.
"Snowbunny knows how to create an exorcism to remove the demon out of her. I've seen him perform the ritual on Dirtypaw, but he lost his nerve last second. Perhaps he would be willing to redeem himself by completing the ritual on Bluejay," Howlingnight suggested to Wintrystar.
Snowbunny's shivering body turned back to Wintrystar, he was internally begging her to not make him perform this exorcism. There was no guarantee Bluejay would live, but then again, staring at her body on the ground, death maybe a mercy. What kind of life did she have incapacitated at all times? It had been half a year, what kind of state of mind was she going to have after six moons of being paralyzed in this state? "I'll do it." Snowbunny said firmly, he would put her out of her misery, she didn't deserve this level of disrespect and torment.
Fluffykit's ears flattened, her steely gaze visibly tearing up at Soullesspaw's accusation, no one had ever once put her in her place in her entire short existence. She turned to look at Maggotpaw, glad that she didn't have to be alone being confined to her nest. Just when she was about to obey Soullesspaw's orders Rosemarykit spoke up. She couldn't move now, if she didn't stand by her sister united she would definitely be swiftly put into her place by Soullesspaw. So instead she stood her ground beside Rosemarykit staring into their older sisters eyes fiercely.
JadiestrawberrycupidFaith She leaned down and gently licked Heavenlykit's forehead before whispering into her ear. "No, they do. They can't treat someone like this. You can't let them, or it will only get worse. If you want you can look away now." Soullesspaw cast Maggotpaw a warning glare when he stepped in. She had dug herself in a hole, and he didn't need to get himself involved. He had it bad enough, just as Fluffykit actually seemed to get the message.
But then there was Rosemarykit. That vile thing. She curled her lip, and then smiled. What Dottymask do to her when she spoke out of turn? She had to eat her words. "Rosemarykit, I am in charge. You know why? They said to watch you, and no one else stepped up. So I have the terrible burden of punishing bad kits." She looked between Fluffykit and Rosemarykit one more time. "Both of you have been naughty, but you, Rosemarykit, have only spoken garbage, so I know you'll enjoy this." With that the massive apprentice pinned Rosemarykit's head to the ground as she jumped on top of her. Keeping one paw on her head, she used the other to churn up the dirt right in front of Rosemarykit's face. "Garbage in, garbage out, right?" Trying to force some down her throat, she shoved the pile of dirt into Rosemarykit's muzzle. "Eat your words."
“Very well.” Wintrystar turned from her mate and Knight, addresses the she-cat of all her problems. “Stop these winds and you shall face judgement in the morning of tomorrow. It shall be a fair trail before the Gods and only they shall have judgement on your fate. Whatever they desire shall be final, so pray to them for your fate to be favorable.” Her gaze turned back to her take at hand, tend to her clan. “Snowbunny, escort her back to the prison. Watch over her so she says her prayers. Howlingnight, if you could, I need help removing these branch form the nursery.”

When Sinfulpaw's eyes met his, Maggotpaw merely nodded. Sticking his nose into everything had only gotten him in trouble, got the eye infected and removed. The only other movement he made was wrapping his tail around Fluffykit. If he could at least keep her from getting involved, it'd be better for both of them. He glanced over at the meeting, holding back a scowl somehow.
Heavenlykit paused in her tracks, feeling the world stop. That little touch of affection was so alien, she didn't know how to react. Especially from Sinfulpaw. Their relationship had been strained, really most of Heavenlykit's were. Still... she stared up at Sinfulpaw like a lost puppy. Eyes wide and unsure. Her will was so weak, she couldn't even tell her not to bother again. So Heavenlykit stared at her paws, trembling slightly.
