Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was rather early. The sun was just barely peaking over the horizon, sending flaming golden rays of light against the red and orange leaf canopy and setting the colorful leaves ablaze. Drops of morning dew clung to the golden blades of grass and spider webs created by the orb weaver spider that usually appear around leaf-fall. It was quite a beautiful and peaceful morning and the air was crisp but not chilly. It was a perfect day for some hard training and Windchaser couldn't wait to get started. She had finished eating her breakfast and was waiting for her class to do the same and join her to begin their day. While she waited, she groomer her fur, making her ginger fur smooth and glossy.
"Wow you sure are beautiful, Windchaser!" Smashpaw was the first of the apprentices to show, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as always. The black-and-white she-cat had short, sleek fur, white all white paws and a handsome face. She was one of Vixenkismet's although she didn't look much like her mother at all, nor did she act like her, "I hope I'm as pretty as you when I grow up!"
"You know she has a mate, right?" Snakerootpaw glanced at Smashpaw as he joined the pair, his brow furrowed. Vixenkismet's kits had always been a little weird to him, even though they'd come from the same clan. Maybe it was because he was still young when his father saved him from SunClan, but he had never acted the way Smashpaw and her siblings did.
Snakerootpaw reared unsteadily on his hind legs, gesturing above his head. "About this high, orange tabby tom? You must've seen him around, he's usually in the medicine cat's den. His name is uh, Laughingsomething. Laughingsavage?"
Windchaser opened her mouth to respond to Smashpaw, flattered by the compliment but was cut off by Snakerootpaw who had spoken for her. She listened to the two speak before twitching her whiskers in amusement at getting the name of her mate wrong. "His name is Illuminatedpath. You will learn the names of each of your clan mates in time but Illuminatedpath is quite the legend." Technically, they both were legends. Illuminatedpath and Windchaser were both considered heros in Dayclan after they managed to escape Sunclan's captivity and find help from Nightclan back when Burningsummer was Nightclan's leader. "He and I both saved Dayclan from Sunclan by escaping and finding a Nightclan patrol. Nightclan then came to Dayclan's aid and helped Dayclan escape from Sunclan's captivity. He is also a socialite, the second highest ranking in the clan."
Radiantpaw couldn't help but puff up her chest a little with pride at the mention of her mama. Though she had to wonder why if her mama had such strong ties to DayClan, why she had picked to live in SunClan over DayClan. But that was something she could ask her later. For now the fluffy ginger she cat wanted to hear more stories about DayClan.
Solarpaw sniffed turning up his nose a little. For some reason hearing Windchaser talk about SunClan holding DayClan captive made his pelt prickle with a bitter anger. But he shrugged it off as him being annoyed that their training would probably require him to get dirty. He hated that.
