Solemnenthrall watched as the autumn drizzle swept across the camp peacefully, enamored by the sound and the way it would bead against the stones then drift slowly down. As he sat, he could feel his thick tortoiseshell fur growing damp. He knew he ought to dry off and go back to the Nursery or risk catching a cold, but sometimes these moments of quiet were hard to grab.
The sound of rain was always something that helped Wistfuldancer calm down after being stuffed in the crowded nursery, and she took the first chance she could find to escape into it. For a moment, she just stood outside, her face pointing towards the sky, letting the drops cool off her mind. She could feel her anxiety being washed away with every rolling drop, until she finally took in a deep breath, just now noticing Solemnenthrall sitting not too far away from her. "H... hello," she said awkwardly, dipping her head in greeting. He had probably come out here to escape as well, but it would have been rude of her to not say anything, wouldn't it? Or should she have just stayed quiet and pretended she didn't notice him?

It took Solemnenthrall a second to realize she had spoken to him. When he did, his ears laid back shyly against his head and he glanced in her direction. "Ah, uh, hello." It was an odd situation. While most cats would be hiding inside in their nests to escape the cold drizzle, these two were standing out in it.
Maybe she really should have stayed silent, since it seemed like Solemnentrall wasn't too pleased with her being out here. Wistfuldancer's paws shifted awkwardly, debating if she should just leave now. There were plenty of other places to stand to enjoy the rainfall, after all. "I, uh, I'm sorry if I bothered you," she said, already glancing around for another place she could go. It seemed like everyone else that was still outside were hurrying to cover, so it was really a coincidence that the two of them chose the same place.
