Like a little black shadow the kit bounded from one bush to the next to stay under cover. Even at night she knew there was a possibility of being seen by something. Last thing she needed was a predator to show up. She paused for a moment to catch her breath and looked around. It was pretty here. Most of the forest was at night. But particularly here.
