A lone little figure sat staring out into camp. His little tussled silver, white and black tabby striped long pelt blowing slightly in a midmorning breeze. Dark blue eyes filled with determination. He looked around. No one would notice him right? He could just slip right out of camp. He licked his lips nervously and stood up and padded confidently towards the camp entrance.. Indigokit had always been restless but not enough to make him this daring.
"Hey!"
He stopped and looked over his shoulder to notice a smaller black and white kit bounding toward him. Tarotkit was definitely a lot more confident than Indigokit.
"Are you going exploring?" Tarotkit asked as he reached the silver tabby kit.
"Uh...yea... I'm a little bor-" "Great. I'm in." Tarotkit nudged his shoulder and continued the way Indigokit had been heading. The silver tabby sighed and trotted after him rolling his eyes.
A shadow barred the camp entrance suddenly, but when it stepped closer to the kits, Crowpaw's features became more obvious. "Tarotkit? And Indigokit?" The apprentice seemed perplexed to see them so close to the entrance, then it dawned on him just what they were up to. Another cat may have ushered them back to the nursery with scolding words and disaapproval, but in Crowpaw's opinion the camp was no safer than the territory while Bloodystar was in charge. "Were you two wanting to see the territory? I can show you around," he offered.
"Where were you two wanting to go?" He asked them, but gestured for them to hurry ahead of them before a warrior spotted them. A furtive glance around camp later, Crowpaw followed them out.

"Anywhere really." Indigokit said was he padded through the camp entrance. "I've never been outside the camp before..." He looked up in awe at his surroundings.
Tarotkit smirked. "I have. But that was a while ago. It's really cool out here. No one to tell you what to do or how to act." He padded confidently past Indigokit who rolled his eyes yet again at the black and white kit that was just a bit younger than he was. He looked behind them at Crowpaw. "Can you show us where we will train as apprentices? I can't wait to be an apprentice." He said with a grin lighting up his deep blue eyes.
"It is cool out here," agreed the apprentice, but his tone shifted forebodingly, "but it's also very dangerous. You really shouldn't come out without an escort." There was a distinct lack of warning in his tone, Crowpaw no fool to believe this would be the last time the kits snuck out of camp, and he otherwise seemed very relaxed as he trotted a bit ahead of them. He glimpsed over at Indigokit when the kit spoke up. "Sure, if that's where you wanna go. Maybe we can practice some training crouches while we're there and you two can get ahead of your denmates," he suggested.

"Yea!" The two boys exclaimed with excitement. Tarotkit already attempting to crouch and then pounce on Indigokit who laughed. "I wanna get ahead of my stuffy sister!" Tarotkit said. Indigokit just grinned. He didn't have any siblings. But it would be cool just the same to get ahead of the other kits.
Tarotkir's enthusiasm reminded him of play fighting with his own siblings, which brought a bittersweet smile to Crowpaw's face. "Well, hurry up then and stop goofing off. We're almost there." While the kits had become distracted among themselves, he'd kept moving forward. He shouldered aside some fronds and before them spanned the training hollow, empty other than the trio. "We got lucky and no one else is out here. What do you two want to practice first?"
