Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. (Fairytalepaw was injured in battle and this is the first time his families allowed to see him. So probably an entire 24 hours have passed) Honeystormstrawberrycupidracer
Fairytalepaw lied on his back, his head resting up against the rim of the nest as he stared at the ceiling with a blank expression.
WinterClan had struck DayClan hard and fast, their attack lasted less than ten minutes and within that time they had used majority of their warriors to attack while a few snuck in the back and stole Sweetiepeach and her kits. He had been the first on the scene when Wintrystar held him down and blinded his eyes. He thought that was all she had done, his fur was so red no one had noticed that she had also torn open his neck. Maybe if he could feel, if he had nerves he would have known how bad the wound was, would have gotten help, but when he was visibly blinded there was no way of knowing.
He had recovered though, he could see again, although his eyes were brighter, almost a feverish yellow stain of a color. He was still in critical condition, but he would survive so long as he took it easy. His paws weren't injured, but they were individually bound with thick layers of cobwebs to keep him from habitually scratching himself as he often did, which left him stuck in his nest. He hadn't been allowed visitors until now that he had woken up in a more stable clear headed state.
Fallpaw quietly slipped into the den holding Fairytalepaw, having for once left her ferret Sprout out on her own for a little while. The news of her siblings horrific injury making her return to camp from her little escapades out into the territory "I should skin you for making everyone worry so much" she chastised, but it was pretty clear from the expression on her face that it was just because she had been worried about him. She sat down beside of his nest her tail curling around her paws neatly. She was rather happy to find that she was the first one to make her way to his side, and that they were all alone.

Goldenphantom wasn't taking it well. She couldn't bring herself to go in, bring herself to face her son that she failed to protect. Winterclan was too sudden, too fast, and now half their kits were gone and Fairytalepaw was hurt. She was out training some of her battalion. The instant she heard the word, she ran back as fast as she could. Soon as she got there, they were gone though. All that greeted her was the copious amount of blood pouring from her son's throat.
She hid that anger as she stood outside the medicine cat's den. If he was just in here... if he had been made a medicine cat's apprentice, maybe this could have all been avoided? Goldenphantom swallowed that lump, that question. It only made her more bitter, angrier. She let Fallpaw go in first, not trusting herself to not have an outburst and make Fallpaw run again.

Fallpaw waited on him to answer, her ear flickering towards the entrance when she heard the sounds of someone lingering outside. It didn't surprise her to much, even though she didn't know who it was she had a pretty good guess that it was a member of their family "Fairytalepaw..." she added more softly this time, trying to hide just how worried she was to him. She bit her bottom lip looking down to the ground "I should have been there with you... Fought with you"\
But before Fairytalepaw could speak came a loud voice booming through the air "FAIRYTALEPAW" the voice would have been rather familiar to the young tom, but the other cats would have no idea who the strange cat barging past them was. He had long white fur, kissed by fire on his face, ears, and tail, and he wasn't taking no for an answer. A string of DayClan cats followed after the SunClan tom asking, begging, and threatening him to stop, but it all fell on deaf ears as he marched past them. It had taken a while for the news of the battle and his friend's condition to reach SunClan, but once it had Buzzingswarm had left immediately not knowing of he was alive or dead. In that moment his heart had shattered any doubt that had been feeling about leaving to be with him. The sickening feeling of having not been there in his moment of need, of not getting to say good bye. He shouldered past Goldenphantom, shoving Fallpaw off to the side without even realizing it as he settled in by Fairytalepaw's side burrying his nose in the tom's fur with tears streaking down his face "You're alive" he whimpered, breaking down and collapsing at his side "I heard the news and thought I had lost you forever...." Faith

"What?" Was all Goldenphantom could get out as a tom shouldered by her. Her confusion only doubled when more Dayclan cats followed. The medicine cat's den must have been utterly stuffed by the time she managed to get to her feet. Her doubts and fears washed away in an instant. "Everyone leave the medicine cat's den unless you have business there. Let me take care of the Sunclan tom." Her voice was strong, and still gentle like it always was. The other Dayclan cats began to disperse, making room for Goldenphantom to slip inside. "Are you a friend of my son's? If so, you can stay, but please be gentle with him for his sake."

Fallpaw scramble back to her feet, about to march over and drag the strange cat away from her brother before Goldenphantom's voice rag out causing her paws to freeze a growl still rumbling in her throat "He shouldn't be here" she snapped as he was told that he could stay. Fallpaw watched him with narrowed eyes tail lashing "He's hurt, and not even everyone in our family has got to come see him yet"
Buzzingswarm refused to budge from his friends side even as the other cats that had trailed behind him dispersed at the she-cat's command. It wasn't until she said that he could stay, that he acknowledged her to intent on making sure that Fairytalepaw was alive before tearing his gaze "Yeah... we have been training together since I was an apprentice..." he slowly admitted, not wanting to get him in any trouble to talking with a member of SunClan but DayClan had always been about a little more open about that kind of thing until the recent trouble started. He was still crying but seemed to be calming down now he had confirmed Fairytalepaw was still alive "Is he going to be ok?"
Fairytalepaw stared up at the ceiling, his sisters words felt like soft murmurs in the backdrop of his mind. He was never going to be a medicine cat, that was all he could think about it. He did everything they said, he did their chores, he let Darkpaw practice bandaging him, he let them test herbs on them, he memorized all the herbs, he practiced treatments in his free time. NONE OF THAT meant anything... He could still hear Fallpaw's voice, it sounded pitying so he continued to tune it out, the anger inside of him festering in a slow burn.
He blinked, his yellow eyes almost dulling back to blue as he listened to a familiar voice. His breath hitched in his throat not believing it, but sitting up he saw Buzzingswarm in the entrance. His eyes turned watery as he rubbed away the tears smiling through it all, "Buzzingswarm?" He hadn't seen Buzzingswarm in forever, not after he failed to please Bloodystar. The priest told him to find an amulet and if he did he could be with Buzzingswarm, but when he found it the amulet was immediately stolen and given to Bloodystar anyways. Sort of like now he was used... Why did he let himself get walked on?
"I'll be okay," Fairytalepaw promised, "he's-" my boyfriend, but he failed so Bloodystar wouldn't let him be mates with him... "he's my boyfriend." He said with more certainty than he ever felt. So what if he failed? He wasn't going to let another cat control him. He looked back into Buzzingswarm's eyes and laughed nuzzling him, "I'm going to blush if you keep looking at me the way you do."

Goldenphantom listened, nodding along. So that's who this new tom was. All her kids were growing up. It almost brought a tear to her eye. She wished he had told her earlier, could address this boyfriend by his name. But she'd have all the time for questions later. "How about this. Since the medicine cat's den is so small, I'll leave and let someone else come in. It'll be best for us to rotate out so Brakewings and Darkpaw can still treat him. Fairytalepaw has those he wants to see as well, so I think he can stay as long as it's what Fairytalepaw wants."
She then turned to Buzzingswarm, "I'm Goldenphantom. Immortal Council here in Dayclan and I raised Fairytale and his siblings. Like Fallpaw here. She's an amazing Animal Whisperer." Goldenphantom couldn't help but gloat in her kids. They were all so amazing. "I doubt I need to tell you that Fairytalepaw has trouble feeling, so you need to be especially careful. I also ask that you don't get in the way of our medicine cats. That's all I'll ask of you."

Boyfriend? BOYFRIEND? He screamed internally having to supress his yip of joy at the sound of the word. It was the first time Fairytalepaw had ever called him that, even though they had been seeing each other for so long. But he couldn't hide the joy in his eyes. Blood rushed to his ears making them feel hot from embaressment, so wrapped up in gazing at his boyfriend most of what his mother said went over his head, but he dipped his head respectfully "It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Buzzingswarm. Fairytalepaw's... boyfriend" he tested the strange word on his tongue, but knew he could get used to that. He smiled politly, settling in next to Fairytail "I'll stay out of the way, anything to help him heal"
Fallpaw dipped her head giving a girlish giggle "Have fun boys"
