Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Hornetsting waited for both of his apprentices to meet him at the camp entrance, Carnagepaw and Tenebrouspaw. Yes, that was right, he had more than one apprentice. There were so many kits promoted that they ran out of warriors to train them. In his opinion, Sunclan just needed to stop having kits all together. It was already hard enough to keep everyone fed and now they had to make sure everyone was trained. It was physically exhausting to mentor one apprentice, let alone two. He decided it would just be easier to train both of them at the same time and kill two birds with one stone.
He shouldn't be this nervous; after living in three different clans, Carnagepaw should know how the first day of training went. But SwiftClan had never given him a mentor, he had been too young when they sent him away, and the SpringClan cats were all sweet and friendly but their focus hadn't been on training the visiting apprentice. Carnagepaw was eight moons old now, nearly nine, and he knew little more than the average apprentice just starting out.
Carnagepaw woke up early so he could meet Hornetsting, and he crouched in the apprentice's den waiting until he saw the tom stop by the camp entrance. Then, precisely on time, he hurried to meet him and dipped his multicolored head. "Are you... you're Hornetsting, right?" It was so hard to recognize all these new cats.
"Indeed, you must be Carnagepaw." He didn't know the apprentice well because the young cat was still new to the clan but he had heard of this apprentice. "I appreciate that you are here on time."
