Shadowbard gently nudged his new apprentice towards the exit quietly He wasn't in much of a mood to talk, his adventure with his mate having ended on a bad note "Lets get a move on" he sighed [Note shadowbard isn't back yet, but I was out of mentors sooo lol]

Duskpaw, in all honesty, was a little surprised he was made an apprentice in the first place. He completely expected to go straight to the senator's den, his stumbling back and forth thanks to Shadowbard's nudging not helping. His mind wasn't fully awake, not even processing what his mentor said. Just that he was getting pushed and he couldn't really stop it. "Where?" was all he could get out.

"We are going to patrol the borders" he replied more gruffly than he intended. He normally wasn't so irritable, going with the flow. But knowing that Niko was hurt so badly, had him distracted and worried "You should know where SunClan ends, and other clan's begin"

Duskpaw didn't know what happened to Shadowbard and Nikkohydrangea. How could he. He just heard they left for a bit and came back. Not sure why, when Sunclan had so much to offer. But that wasn't his business right now. He was still so groggy, limbs flailing about as he tried to get a grip on something. When one foot would meet the ground, two would still be swiping at the air. How'd he even do that? "Okay!" Duskpaw squeaked, pushing himself out of Shadowbard's way so the world would finally sit still.

Shadowbard flicked his tail, setting a fast pace to see if his new apprentice could keep up with him as the set out towards the NightClan border. Silence settled between them at first but as they came to the scent markers, he motioned for Duskpaw to stop "Can you smell the border?" he paused wanting to see if young cat could tell the difference in scent on his own

Well, he got his answer right away. Cause even when Duskpaw was bounding after him, he kept getting distracted by this and that. And when he focused, his paws didn't work and he tripped. Coordination was not his strong suit, but Duskpaw was good at pulling himself back up. The world was so simple to them, but so vast to him. He could barely process it, not until they came to a stop. Panting let him drink in this new smell, this unpleasant smell. It made his nose scrunch up. Duskpaw took a few steps forward, realized it was too strong and came back to where there was a mix of it and the usual Sunclan smell he was used to. "Here?"

Shadowbard sighed "Yes, but you crossed it. Luckily it's DayClan and they are not prickly over their borders but you should be more careful. Other clans are not so quick to forgive intrusions"

Was it Dayclan? It didn't look like how he imagined it. There were a lot more trees than he expected the supposed heaven on earth to be. "Sorry." Duskpaw yelled out, taking a few more steps back for good measure. "What now?"
