After enduring the separate apprentice camp Hystericstar had set up during the apprentice exchange for moons, Passionpaw had grown used to isolated. The other apprentices were loud and tedious, but it was better than being back in camp with all of the snobby, uptight warriors. He was beginning to like having his own home, and he couldn't help wondering if Hystericstar would let him built his own den, far from the camp, once he was a warrior. To live with the support of his clanmates, but in the comfort of his own private hideaway, would be a dream.
And so, his hunting for the day finished, Passionpaw ducked into the apprentice camp and tossed a squirrel onto the measely fresh-kill pile, then spun around and bounded out. It was suspicious behavior but he assumed nobody was following him as he made a beeline for the first potential home he wanted to look at: the old Cave Guard tunnels.
