Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Bloodystar probably wasn't expecting an audience with his littermate. He would probably have been expecting the Silhouette gang leader, considering Ryn had asked him for a meeting. The Priest just probably wouldn't have expected that Ruinedportrait would be dragged along with.
The ebony tom gave a nod to the Priest as he stepped into the den, pulling the Janus with him. He hadn't explained to her why she was coming with him, but it was quite clear it was non-optional. "Bloodystar, I have requested this meeting to talk about your sister." It was no secret that Ruinedportrait had been throwing stones both during Bloodystar's wedding, and when Bloody had taken the title of Priest, and both times had hit Ryn in the head, much to the tom's irritation.
Ryn let go of Ruinedportrait as she spoke, though he positioned himself in such a way that prevented her from easily leading. "Specifically, I have come here to request Ruinedportrait's paw in marriage. With you as Priest, her as Janus, and myself as Silhouette leader, this marriage would solidify the connections between us, and give you're blood direct lineage with the leaders of our gang."
There was many things about this situation that Ruinedportrait hated, most of all was the fact that she was being dragged around like some kit that had just gotten into trouble. Sure she wasn't a saint and was guilty of many things, but as far as Ryn was concerned she actually hadn't done anything in recent memory that should offend the gang leader.
"Whatever it is, I didn't do it this time." she said, in exasperation. However when the tom spoke again, letting her go, she gently rubbed the area where he had hold of her, trying to alleviate the pain that result from his not so gentle grasp of her.
"You What?" Ruinedportrait choked at his request. Her marry Ryn? the thought was too ridiculous to imagine, of all the cats in all the clans, groups and gangs there probably wasn't anyone she could possibly want to marry less than the ebony tom that was standing next to her now.
Bloodystar had asked Ryn to watch Ruinedportrait closely ever since the whole rock-throwing issue. He has his suspicions regarding her loyalty but she was a Janus hand-picked by the Sun God as well as his littermate. He didn't want to put her in prison based on just his gut.
So, Ryn.
A tom he could trust, one who was there for him when most were not, but otherwise a stranger. A stranger with political power and ties to no other group outside of SunClan, a family that served the Sun God for generations, and one that he certainly did not want to lose.
"Of course. You two will make a great couple."
There wasn't much more to say, Ryn had laid out the benefits nicely. Joining groups through marriage was a textbook way to solidify the bonds between them and, after the Silhouettes had done so much for him, giving them one she-cat was an easy sacrifice to make, although he didn't consider it much of a sacrifice at all.
"I do insist that you have a formal SunClan wedding ceremony. All of Silhouette Gang is welcome to attend. I look forward to working with you for many, many moons, and am pleased to call a tom like you my brother-in-law."
