( Sariyah, Ryn's father has been killed by Vixenkismet, otherwise known as Foxbane, his body displayed at the border. @samiam )
TW: GORE
His body had been placed at Ceremony Springs. This was significant, though only Rorke was alive, and free, in SunClan to understand that particular thing. Not that it was hard to miss the scent drenching the place. Foxbane. Well, the ex-Priestess didn't go by that anymore. In DayClan, she'd allowed Glowstar to name her, it was only fair, so she now went by Vixenkismet, though SunClan wasn't likely to know that.
Regardless, the she-cat was long gong by the time cats arrived, alerted by the scent of blood and the fox-furred feline. Ryn was in the lead of the patrols, and the first to discover the body. At first, he couldn't tell who it was. Then his heart sank. Sariyah, Ryn's father, the former leader of the Silhouette gang, one of the two who had been saved by Foxbane, was dead.
The leader of the Silhouette gang looked about, forcing himself to see it. His father's body was laid across the Cursed Rock, his entrails pulled half out of his body and shredded, limbs at awkward angles. At first, he thought the head was just broken, twisted wrong, eyes clawed out, until he came to the sickening realization that Sariyah's head had actually been removed from his body and set upright next to the neck.
It was impossible for the culprit to be anyone else, Foxbane's scent was the only one around the scene, and a few tufts of auburn, white, and black fur were embedded in the deceased's claws.
Ruinedportrait, having been dragged along on patrol by her newly betrothed had been just behind the ebony tom when the gruesome scene came into view. At first she had no idea what she was looking at, when it finally click, she felt her heart leap into her throat and her blood instantly run cold. It was one of those times where the longer you looked, the worse it got. Her stomach churned as the flame point adverted her gaze from the horrific scene, choosing to look at Ryn instead. She couldn't fathom how he must be feeling.
Composing herself the janus stepped towards Ryn, close enough that her pelt brushed against his in what was meant as a comforting gesture, though she doubted he would take it that was. "Don't look" she whispered. "Let's go back and tell Bloodystar, you shouldn't have to--"
"Sariyah?SARIYAH!" the wail cut through Ruinedportrait's sentence, as a small tortoiseshell she cat shoved her way between the two cats in the lead. She went right to the scene before any cat could stop her. Kosma didn't seem to notice as she stepped in her mate's blood, too overwhelmed and stricken by grief. "No, no, no.... Sariyah, please no..." she whimpered. Shaking she lowered herself down, practically crawling to her mate's body as if she couldn't accept that, despite his mutilated state that he could truly be gone.
"Don't just stand there you idiots! Some one go fetch a healer!" she shouted at the remainder of the patrol who could only look on in horror as Kosma lay in the puddle of her mate's blood that had saturated the surrounding area.

Alios had been towards the back of the patrol, eyes shooting daggers at her older brother and his newly named betrothed. She was angry, not that he had found someone but the fact that he was going along with the little High Priest's games. Sure they followed the Sun God, but that didn't mean she was going to simply roll over and obey their every command. She had supported Bloodystar's rise to power, preventing the cats from escaping until finally pushed to exhaustion and knocked out, but it was more for her family's sake than that of Bloodystar's. Her father had decided that they would support Bloodystar, so she did as she was bid. However, what she hadn't expected was what happened next as the sight of her father's corpse came into view. Her mother's shrill wails reaching her ears. Unlike the others, she stayed calm surveying the scene with carefully attention. Observing how the body had been mutilated and placed upon the rock, taking the in scents and small details that others would miss in their hurry to rush to his side. Their father was dead... There was nothing to be done now, but to find the killer and give out revenge.
