Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Tempest made her way to the cavern, a few mice handing by their tails in her mouth. She was anxious, would he show up? The stormy gray she-cat had asked Shina to meet her there for dinner, or rather lightly implied that he should. Whether of not he would actually catch her hint and show up was another question entirely. Jumping up on the large flat rock she gently sat the mice down and sat nearly by, her honey-amber eyes fixed on the entrance, what if he didn't show up? What would she do then?

They both were very fortunate that a nearby Yeet had filled Shina in on the magic of subtle hints. At first, he thought Tempest was just randomly telling him that she was hungry. Completely reasonable thing to do, right? He didn't question it because he would probably have said the same thing if he was hungry. However, Yeet had witnessed the interaction and explained to the proxy later what "she-cat language" was. Wow, it was complicated. That didn't stop the heat of a blush from rising to his cheeks and these weird fluttery feelings in his belly to suddenly appear when he thought about her wanting to have dinner. Good thing she knew about medicine. Maybe he could ask her what to do about these weird feelings.
His large paws sounded softly against the ground as he approached the dark-furred figure of Tempest. He gave a shy nod in greeting but his eyes gave away all his excitement about their dinner date.

He showed up! At the sight of the gray and white proxy her eyes lit up with enough excitement to match his own. She returned the greeting with a curt nod of her own, moving over on the rock to make room for him. As she reached to shift the mice over to make room opposite her she couldn't help but notice the shakiness of her own paws. Silently chiding herself for being so silly she willed them to stop. What was there to be nervous about?
"I-I caught you some mice already, I hope that's okay."

Shina sat down awkwardly, his paws ending up a bit too close together and close to his body. He was too shy in that moment to fix it so he just left them there to ache and fall asleep. "I-I love mice. They are perfect." He answered shakily with a soft smile. Was that a silly thing to say? Probably. He wasn't the smoothest of talkers, much to his own dismay. It had just hit him that he had never spoken more than three sentences a day (more like a week) until he met her. Somehow she had quickly brought out his voice. That realization simply made him blush harder and he had to look down at his oddly-placed paws for a second to try and hide it. "Thank you so much." He meowed quietly, not only talking about the mice in that moment. Not that she would really know that.

The mage eyed him carefully for a moment taking in his posture. She wasn't sure how he would react if she corrected it for him but as his mage she couldn't not say anything could she. "I'm glad you love mice, but are you comfortable? You can relax a bit if you want..." She was determined to have a pleasant dinner, and her awkwardness was not about to ruin the evening. As if to set and example she took one of the mice off the pile in front of them before laying down, tucking her paws underneath her.

“Oh, uh, yeah. Being comfortable is good, isn’t it?” He responded with a shy chuckle before also lying down and taking a mouse. He tucked his numb paws underneath his chest with relief before taking a bite out of the mouse in front of him. For some reason, it was the best mouse he had ever tasted. It was also the only food he had had all day. “It’s been a busy day, I completely forgot to eat until now. What about you?” Was talking about food any better than talking about the weather? Hopefully so.

"Same, actually" she confessed a little embarrassed. "Unless you count the herbs I accidentally swallowed while i was out gathering them" she joked. Normally she'd of died before telling any cat that, but Shina was different in the sense that she knew he would never repeat that to anyone. "You should remember to eat more through out the day." she added a bit more sternly, fixing the proxy with a look. "You should try to take better care of yourself."
