Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Aspenmountain lifted her split golden honey and grey laced white face as she peered across the Sunclan border with sapphire blue eyes, almost able to feel the disastrous tension she had been hearing so much about. She had left Winterclan just over a day ago and traveled through the night to get here, she was tired but didn't allow it to show through through her monotone expression. Rumors had drifted that since Bloodystar took over the clan things had really hit the fan, cats were running for their lives and those unable or stupid enough to stay and go against the High Priest were being imprisoned; it had made her whiskers twitch in amusement and she knew she had to see it for herself. Winterclan had grown a bit boring for her anyway, so it was time for a change besides the fact that she would let them kill her before agreeing to an arranged marriage.
She knew the drill when coming to Sunclan, sit and wait and so that is what she did.
"I'm tired," Arcticsong complained as her stubby legs moved across the terrain. Despite complaining how tired she was she kept up at an even trot, her chubby belly bouncing just slightly as she moved. Wolfconstellation wasn't far behind, they were mates now, which to Arcticsong meant inseparable. Ever since becoming mates she felt a bit more grown up, like she should do more grown up activities like traveling and staying up late. That was when she saw Aspenmountain at the border, her tail immediately shooting up high in anticipation, "There's someone new at the border, do you think they want to join?" Arcticsong asked Wolfconstellation.
"For her sake, I hope not," Wolfconstellation was trying his best to be patient with Arcticsong but even his infinite patience was beginning to wear thin. The she-cat was like a shadow to him these days. Unavoidable, attached to the hip but not really touchable, and he wanted to touch her, he was Mistyrose and Sparrowflight's son, but that seemed like a death sentence. Why was he even thinking about this now? Totally not the time. Focus, dude, focus.
As Wolfconstellation approached the new she-cat, he recognized that fluffy fur and evergreen scent right away. WinterClan. He gluped. Odds were high that she was a relative of his or maybe even Arcticsong, but there was no way to know without asking, and he wasn't going to. Glancing at his mate for a moment, it became clear that he was going to be leading the interaction, so he cleared his throat and said, "State your name and business, I guess."
The uniquely patterned she-cat was only moments away from just strutting over the border, having grown impatient waiting for a patrol or anyone for that matter. She let her gaze scan the area one last time and to her surprise there were actually cats, something about them seemed familiar but she knew she had never run into either of them before so she ignored it and stood up. "It's about time someone's showed up." Aspenmountain looked them both over as they got closer, small and smaller. "My names Aspenmountain, now if his shortness would be so kind and take me to a grown up." She wasnt a big cat herself, but she still stood above the tom. There was an amused smirk on her face in place of her previous emotionless stare. "Actually why dont you just go get Mistyrose for me, she'll know who I am." Most cats could tell right away from her split fur and the curve of her body that she was a child of the very she-cat she was asking for.
"His shortness?" Wolfconstellation repeat, clearly annoyed, yeah sure he was a small cat but you didn't need to rub it in. He gave his chest a few strokes then raised his head as high as he could, although he was still mostly dwarfed by Aspenmountain, "WinterClan. Searching for Mistyrose. Let me guess... you're one of her kits?" It wasn't that big of a stretch, she did bare a striking resemblance to the former witch, "Which would make you my sister. Nice to meet you, Miss Priss."
Sensing Arcticsong shift uncomfortably next to him, he turned to face her, giving her all of his attention for a moment. Wittle paws? That was too cute, no fair! She shouldn't be allowed to do adorable things like that and still expect him to not touch her. But he resisted, he knew better, "Aspenmountain here seems like the patient type, we can take our time walking back. No need to push yourself."
