The wind was gentle, at least to me, with my long fur, it didn't faze me as it did my short furred clan-mates. I had sat in camp for awhile, trying to decide on what to do. I finally decided to go to the meadow to hunt. It was dark out, the night was still young, the on was still climbing in the sky as I stepped on the wooden thunderpath to get to the meadow. Once there, I paused a moment to taste the air. It was filled with the scent of herbs, wild flowers, pine and some oak trees. I scented the air further, for the scent of prey. I smelled a mouse and zeroed in on it. I tracked it to a spacious area of oak trees, it was nibbling on a nut, trying to eat it or something. I don't know. So I crouched behind a tree, upwind from it and slowly slicked towards it, trying to make sure my belly fur didn't touch the ground.
I wasn't the only one hunting it either, a rogue cat on the other side of it was stalking as well...
