Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
There was a scream in the night. The initiate queen, Amity's kits were gone. Her mate hadn't even been allowed to see them yet and she had been so tired after the kitting she had fallen asleep. After when she awoke the kits were gone, all seven. They were going to be raised as SunClan kits, spared from the fate of so many other DayClan kits and instead they were gone. Amity's eyes weren't wide in panic, but narrowed with hate, "Did one of you take my kits!" She hissed.
She was a DayClan cat, perhaps SunClan never intended for her to pass and just took her kits as her own. Despite all her efforts to fit in and learn more...
"They're not anywhere, they were just born, they couldn't have wandered off!" Amity cried.
She was a silvery tall tabby with light green eyes and although her kits had her fur, they had folded scottish fold ears like their father. There was no mistaking these kits and the fact that seven were gone and no other kit from a litter had been stolen was proof that whatever happened was intentional.
This was one of the first times since giving birth to her own kits, that Littlebird had found herself out of the den she shared with Foxstar. She had almost died giving birth to the two small kits, that were tucked away warm and safe in her nest. She had only intended only going on a small walk, staying close by her new borns, but the frantic cries of the she-cat drew her attention.
She made her way to the makeshift prisoners camp, on shaky paws. Despite her own condition, she didn't fear walking into the enemies camp. They were heavily guarded, and there was no doubt that cats would come to her aid should she require it. "Take a deep breathe" she commanded, as she entered into the nursery. The small walk had been very tiring for her, and she didn't feel like fighting with the angry mother "Tell me what happened"
Her gaze hardly broke away from her panic, but the scent of milk that came from Littlebird made her take a breath. She was a mother too, "I gave birth to seven kits, a big litter, but it all went well. I was so tired and once we were all confirmed to be healthy I just laid on my side and fell asleep. Maybe I should have curled around them, I was just so tired and there were so many it was hard to curl around all of them," Wispyfeather admitted.
Because of the kitting there were scents of DayClan queens and SunClan cats who had helped her through her birth. It was hard to tell which clan cat could have taken her kits, "Please, someone look for them. It had to have been a cat. We're too well guarded for a predator to have taken them."
Her heart fluttered, seeing the utter panic in the she-cat's eyes, and she had to admit that she felt sympathy for her. Had her own kits disappeared the night they were born, she probably would have went over the edge of sanity.
She had a nagging feeling that someone within her own clan had mostly likely taken them. With Foxstar's current plan, it wouldn't be all that surprising. She hadn't heard anything about them blatently taking kits just yet, as it would cause mass panic among the prisoners. Perhaps Foxstar had taken to more.. extreme... measures while she had been stuck in her nest.
"I understand how worried you are, but causing panic will only make it take longer to locate your kits. We need to first investigate then den, before the scents become muddled. We don't want to miss any clues. Where were you staying with them?"
"I was right here where I'm currently sitting, but believe me, I looked around this entire nursery when I realized it and they're nowhere, not like they could have wandered off at their age. I can't smell anything that might be off and there's so many paw prints going in and out from cats helping me that I can't tell if any are suspicious," Amity admitted, her eyes were pleading for Littlebird to do literally anything. She was stuck in SunClan, many of her family were stuck in this camp and were unable to search. She had to not trust SunClan to help her who may have just taken her kits in the first place, "Please, I was serious when I said I wanted to join, if someone took them thinking I wasn't going to put in the effort I am. I couldn't help that I couldn't prove myself faster with activities because I was pregnant. If someone took them just tell them I love those kits and that whatever they think I was going to do to them is a big misunderstanding."
"I believe you" she replied giving the worried queen a gentle lick on her forehead. She knew that if anything had happened to either of her surviving kits, she would not have been as calm as Amity.
No matter what happened, the kits needed to be found. If they had been taken by SunClan she would find out soon enough, but if not.. Well she wasn't going to allow another clan to just waltz in and take kits that were under SunClan's protection. Not only would it make SunClan look weak, but it might cause panic among the two clans they had conquered.
"I am in no condition to go searching myself, I only recently had my own litter. It was a difficult kitting, and I am only begining my recovery. However I wish to help you, and return the kits to your care. I will gather some of SunClan's finest trackers to see if we can find out where they have been taken"
"The only promise that I can make is that I will try" without more information, there was little that she could promise her. She didn't know where the kits were, who had taken them, or why they had been taken. She rose to her paw and smiled slightly "Don't worry, the Sun God watches over those who follow him"
She exited the den, each step painful. She could feel her paws shaking underneathe her, and the cramps the clutched her sides. It wasn't as painful as her kitting, but she knew that she had overdone it. She took in a deep breath, trying to clear her mind enough to decide on who should be the ones to search for the last kits.
Strikhedoniadalisay moved to Littlebird's side in an instant upon seeing her strained walk, "Let me walk you to where you want to go."
It was a nice gesture and she seemed genuinely concerned. But more concerning was the fact that her fur had a touch of green. Sure she normally had grass stains running throughout her fur, but in the winter it was impossible since the snow covered the ground. She had been somewhere with lighter snow to have some green showing. However there was no obscure scent, but that might be because she rubbed off whatever scent she did have considering part of the green seemed intentionally rubbed off. Almost like she had to stop cleaning off the green because she saw Littlebird.
"I'm fine, but thank you" she shrugged off the other she-cat, not wanting to appear any weaker than she already was. Honestly, she probably should have just accepted the help, but her pride kept her from doing so. She didn't notice the stains immediatly, having gotten used to seeing her in such a state.
"I don't have time to whaste standing around here." she continued to walk towards SunClan's camp, though she looked like she might collapse at an moment. As the she-cat continued to follow beside her, she couldn't help but question how she had come about grass. All of SunClan was coated in snow, making the green rather suspisious. She didn't say anything yet, but would instead take her to Foxstar in a more.. subtle manner. "If you really want to help than come with me. I have a job for you"
"How about we just get you back to your nest?" Strikhedoniadalisay tried to suggest, "I haven't seen my kits recently and I really want to tell them a bed time story and maybe share something in the freshkill pile with Darkcomplex, you could come hangout with us if you want."
She meant that, but also wasn't going to say no to a queen if she couldn't convince her to hangout with her. Even though she technically was a queen herself with a few little ones.
"mmm. I suppose that would be ok" she replied as she began to slowly make her way back towards SUnClan's camp. After all once back in SunClan's camp she could send out some scouts and find Fooxstar.
"How are your little ones?" she asked. She knew that Strik didn't have a lot to do with them, but that didn't mean that she didn't care.
"I don't know," Strikhedoniadalisay admitted, but smiled in giddy delight, "I bet they're having the time of their lives though. Their father has taught them how to sneak up on people, they probably stand up to authority figures, and have figured out some dark secrets. Regardless of this situation they were always going to stay in SunClan, leafbare gets too cold for DayClan and I was always more comfortable with them here. But now that I get to spend the cold season with them I'm excited to actually play more with them and tell them about their family. The siblings they'll meet and never meet... But it'll be fun, I was really afraid I wouldn't get to be with them."
"How about you, what fun things are you going to do with your kits? Oh! A playdate, let's have a playdate with our kits, I also need to teach them to play nice, that's usually a hard one to teach."
Despite her misgivings, Strik did have her chuckling. Litttlebird shook her head "maybe soon, right now my little ones are far to young. They have not yet opened their eyes" Not to mention that while they were growing stronger each day, the difficult kitting had taken it's toll on her kits as well.
As they neared camp, she spotted the familiar form of Foxstar. She approached, guiding Strik with her "Hold on just one moment, I need to speak with Foxstar" After all if she had nothing to hide, there was no reason for the DayClan leader to fear her speaking with the priestess.
She slowly walked over to Foxstar and dipped her head in greeting "Foxstar, while visiting with our guests, something was brought to my attention. A litter of DayClan newborns have been snatched away from their mother during the night. Their mother is awfully worried" she gave Foxstar a look before glancing back at Strik. She had her own suspicions, but would leave it to Foxstar to decide. The grass stains still present on the other cat's coat.
Its not so much that she cared in paticular about these kits, but having kits disappear under SUnClan's nose was unacceptable.
If Strikhedoniadalisay was covered in the blood of her enemy and walked in carrying said enemies head she'd still pretend she wasn't the murderer. Claim the guy slipped and his head fell off. Would Foxstar suspect her? Maybeeeee. It wasn't like she was super knowledgeable about all the times that she kidnapped kits. And at the same time what could Foxstar do that she hadn't done to her? Maybe drown her, but that was a walk and then maybe the water would be ice cold or maybe there'd be ice and that seemed tricky so probably not. She hoped Foxstar didn't bury her alive because she was planning on doing that to Foxstar one day. Just as a little pay back... After all she missed Burningstar becoming leader, missed saying good-bye to Hazethroat before she died, missed seeing her sons become warrior and was isolated for a long time. And now her clan was taken over so accidentally pushing her friend into a ditch and burying her until she was on the brink of death just seemed like the right kind of pay back no matter what happened after.
"Are you sure it wasn't one of your own cats that stole them? After all you've literally brought all the kits in the clans into your camp," Strik reasoned, although Wispyfeather was an initiate who had every intention of joining SunClan and only hadn't because she had to stop her duties when she became close to kitting.

"Who's kittens were taken?" Foxstar didn't recall any being taken in the last day or two, and she should know, given that she was the one to organize this whole kitten taking thing in the first place. Of course, Strikhedoniadalisay's presence alone was suspicious, and her subsequent words made the Priestess turn to her with an almost knowing look. Regardless of the truth of the matter, it seemed that the fox-hearted feline had already selected her prime suspect. "And I think I would know if a SunClan cat brought in a litter of kits, don't you?" Her voice was smooth and almost frigid, gaze holding Glowstar's eyes as if merely meeting the DayClan leader's gaze would tell her all she needed to know.
"Amity, she was one of our new initiates. According to the news I have recieved while I was recovering, she had been very dedicated to her duties as an initiate, until she was to heavily pregnant to continue. She gave birth last night, and when she awoke this morning they were gone" Littlebird could tell with just a glance that Foxstar was of the same opinion as her. Either Strik had stolen them, or she at the very least knew what had happened.
Her golden gaze settle upon Strik as she spoke, watching carefully as spoke for any reaction.
Strikhedoniadalisay was watching boredly and lifted up a paw to lick and instead raised her paw up with muddy slush. She waved her paw a bit with a look of confusion with it didn't come off. Still wanting the slush gone she wiped it against the snow. Lifting her paw back up in front of her eyes she unsheathed her claws as if doing a damage assessment before noticing Littlebirds gaze. She gave a comforting wave back to Littlebird, "You're doing great," she whispered despite the fact that Foxstar was in front of both of them.
She then licked her paw as if she hadn't been able to respond back to Foxstar this whole time without first licking her paw, "You know half the time I just walk into camp and there's a new cat there and I'm like, "oh I guess we have another warrior." I thought that just happened to everyone," she smirked deviously.
Rubyflame had heard Amity's calls even from afar, having drawn near SunClan camp to seek out Glowstar. Slipping close and into the nearby area to see and hear better what was going on. And when she realized what had happened her blood ran cold. Amity's kits had been stolen? The ginger she cat curled her tail around herself as if she could protect the kittens held within her swollen belly. She was due to have her kits soon. Very soon as she and Amity had discovered they'd be kitting in around the same time. Would she too wake after birthing them to find them gone? The thought filled her with dread and she glanced around the cats and initiates of SunClan edging back.
"What did you do, Strikhedoniadalisay?" Foxstar's question was pointed, not allowing the she-cat to derail the conversation. If Glowstar had a part in the kits' disappearance, she'd find out, one way or other. SunClan didn't have a part in it, not that the Priestess knew. If they had, either her or Littlebird would have known, though the Senator was an exception to the rule, given her dual status in the clans. No matter, they weren't here to argue about that. The goal was to have the kits returned to Amity for the duration of her Initiation, and that's exactly what Foxstar intended to do.
