Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Spiritpossession hadn't been given an apprentice in a long while. However, it wasn't exactly surprising, given what she'd heard from Daeva about the she-cat...
It wasn't unusual for the Dark Forest cats to target kits in any capacity, but even so, it had been some time since the she-cat had seen a SunClan cat chosen, though perhaps she shouldn't have been surprised. With everything to do with Wormwood's recent demise, she suspected that they were looking for new recruits after their most recent success.
What was odd though, was that the warrior never gave Frostpaw any instructions on where to meet or when for training. The black and white she-cat expected that she would be rather displeased with this, as it had been a few days now since her promotion. The reality was that Spiritpossession had simply chosen to watch her from afar in the forest, joining one of the many ominous presences that seemed to dwell in the shadows.
Today, however, she made herself known. As soon as her apprentice woke into the starless place, she would be graced with her mentor sitting before her in an empty clearing, fog wreathing around it's edges as the green eyed she-cat stared down at her, an eerie sort of smile on her face that was so different from her usual attitude in SunClan. "Ah, I was hoping you'd come tonight." The she-cat purred, leaning back to clap her paws together in excitement. "Just to explain why Daeva isn't here.. I'm training you tonight. Not that she doesn't like you, but she needs a day off sometime, and you are my apprentice after all. Any questions before we begin?"
Honestly, Frostpaw hadn't really cared all that much over the fact that Spiritpossession hadn't taken the time to train her yet. She had Daeva to train her during their nighttime sessions and since she'd been training since she was a kit, she was already ahead of Snowpaw which was enough for her at the moment since she had managed to convince her sister that she was just that much better than her because she learned things much quicker. Honestly, she hated Snowpaw. While they looked alike, they were very different. Snowpaw learned things almost twice as fast as she did which meant Frostpaw had to put in extra work to stay ahead of her sister.
Tonight she was particularly eager for her training session since she was pretty sure she had finally mastered the move she had been working on. She was eager to show Daeva and see what she thought. But to her confusion, Spiritpossession was sitting there instead of Daeva. She sat down, wrapping her white tail around her paws. Honestly, she was disappointed that Daeva wasn't there, but she supposed what her mentor said made sense. "What are you doing in the dark forest? I didn't know anyone else from SunClan came here." She had thought she was supposed to keep it a secret. After all, no one else would understand the benefit of her training here and they might make her stop going. If she had known that someone else came here at night, it would have made things easier from the start.

"Simply put, they didn't know until recently." Spiritpossession replied, flashing a smile. "I know the paths of this forest better than either Wormwood or Daeva, for I've visited the shadows almost nightly since I first opened my eyes. This place is more my home than the waking world, and no one finds me here if I don't want them to. Rumors get around, however, and I heard of a SunClan cat entering the forest for the first time in seasons. I wanted to watch you for a while before I decided whether or not to reveal myself. And when you became an apprentice, I figured it was about time to do so." She explained. It made sense. The warrior seemed at ease in the shadows, far more than even some of the forest's permanent residents, and if it wasn't for her opaque frame, one might have thought her a wandering ghost as well.
"My apologies for not telling you, but I wanted to get a feel for your personality first. Not every cat who ends up in the shadows is suited for them." There were many cats who'd since stopped coming, or at least, she'd since stopped seeing them. Others left of their own accord, deciding this wasn't the place for them. The she-cat had wanted to ensure Frostpaw wasn't one of the latter.
"Stop coming? Why?" She hadn't really met many of the cats here, but some of them had seemed a bit dangerous, but she wasn't scared of them because she had always thought she was supposed to be here as well. "I really like it here. I learn things that the other apprentices haven't learned yet." It was going to help her become a better warrior and it had helped her to get an edge on Snowpaw which was always nice. "What are we going to learn tonight?" She was eager just as she was when she was training with Daeva. She needed to learn more so that she could stay ahead, so that she could be better than all of the other apprentices and these nighttime training sessions were her best bet at the moment.
