Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. Well, she never thought she would be the type to do this, but the condition definitely warranted her change of heart. Rather, approach to this whole thing. This entire time he had been the one to approach her, but with these arranged marriages something deeper inside of her told the she-cat to level with him. The chaos around them, from Bloodyrondo's wedding to the arranged marriages not that long ago, pushed her. So, this time she found a flower. It was wilted and dried up, but a flower nonetheless. It was nothing like the rose he found, but whatever. He probably grew them somewhere, and she didn't have the patience for growing plants.
She waited until he left camp and trailed behind him until he left the camp. "Romancefable?" She dropped the flower at her paws. "I wanted to talk to you. It's not bad or anything, I mean I brought you this flower..." She rolled the decaying plant under her paw. "It's kind of dead... but whatever. We just need to talk."

Romancefable had just returned from his hunting patrol, as he dropped the rabbit he had caught down with a plop. Even though he had been up since before the morning prayers and the sun was high in the sky, the only thing he wanted to do now was go find Azura. But it seemed like this time it was she who had found him. His ears perked up, greeting her with a gentle press of his nose against hers with a purr rumbling in his throat. He tried not to act surprise, as he took the dead flower into his paws treating it preciously. It was the first gift she had even brought him, and that meant more to him than she would know. He cradled it up to his chest gently like a baby "Of course Azura, what ever you wish" his eyes sparkling with wonder about what she wanted to talk about "Do you want to talk here, or should we go some where more private?"

When he pressed his nose into hers she pulled back after a moment. Azura still was not comfortable with this kind of affection, but the initiate was starting to warm up to it. Not even a moon ago she would have cut him across the face for trying something like that, but this time she offered him a simple nod in apology. "We should go somewhere more private... I don't want anyone to overhear us." She turned away and let her tail brush against his nose. "Come on." She practically ran out of the camp. She didn't check if he was following. He always did even when she didn't want to be followed.
Azura took him to the Burial Grounds. For all the negativity in the Clan, the place's beauty shined through it all. The sunflower fields had an almost surreal quality to them, even if some picked them to go to their deaths. She came to a stop in the middle of them and turned around. "I just... you know nothing about who I am. To understand me, you should know more." Each word was forced from her lips with great effort. She had only opened up to Glowstar, and the Leader knew her story. He didn't. He saw what he wanted to see. She hoped today would change that, for better or worse. She opened her mouth to speak again, but no words came out. She swallowed and then looked away. "Ask me three questions, and I'll answer them. Nothing's off limits."

Romancefable chased after her, giggling as she ticked his nose. As they same to a stop she had to admit that what she asked him caught him off guard. He sat down, his heart thrumming in his chest. For so long he had been chasing after her, trying to break through the shell she surrounded herself with "Azura..." he wanted to ask if she really meant it, but the look in her eyes told her everything that he needed to know.
He took in a deep breathe, letting it out before his first question came tumbling from his lips "What is it that you want most in this life?" he paused, knowing that it was a strange question. All he wanted was for her to be happy, but without knowing what it was that she wanted to achieve it was impossible to make it happen.

She hesitated for a moment. He really went right for the big stuff, and her answer wasn't exactly pretty. "Originally, revenge. I was born in the formative days of the Coalition, and my mother, Kyna, was the General of the Coalition, only second to the Heda, Octavia." She quivered. "One of our laws dictated that any member of the Coalition could challenge the Heda for her position. If the challenge was accepted, which it always was, it would be a fight to the death. My mother challenged Octavia. Before the last word left her tongue her throat ripped open on the camp's floor." She paused. "I was 2 weeks old. Glowstar rescued me and my sister, but not before Octavia gave me this scar." She pointed to a scar across the back of her neck. "Since then, my goal been to become strong enough that I won't have to go through that again. I thought I was..." She trailed off as she could again feel the claws of her aggressor tearing through her under the White Tree.

Romancefable nodded, taking in her words absorbing them like a sponge instead of commenting and interrupting. He had known that she had a rough past, but the details of which had been kept away from him. He felt a pang of sympathy... finally understanding why Azura had been so stand off ish after her arrival in SunClan half dead. Whom ever had attacked her, had very nearly succeeded in taking her life. He placed his paw onto hers once she was done offering her a gentle smile "You are stronger than you know..." he wanted to just pull her in close and offer her comfort, but also knew that would probably end any chance of this conversation continuing
"Next question... What is one thing that You want me to know about you?"

She looked into his eyes for a moment before answering. "I... don't know. This my first time in a relationship. I don't really know what I want, or what to expect from you." She paused again. "This is the first time I've opened to someone since I met Glowstar. Like, I don't know. There's a lot I want you to know, but I don't know how I could put it into words." Her rambling spilled out of her mouth as she tried to put together a decent thought. "Like, I don't know if I want a family or what. This whole thing is just confusing and awkward and weird... I'm just gonna need time to like process everything." Her eyes twinkled in amusement. "I've never been a hopeless romantic."

Romancefable smiled, letting his tail slide next to hers and placing his paw onto hers. It was a quite show of support, a way to say that she didn't have to have all the answers yet "That's ok, its why cats date before becoming mates. It something that we can figure out together, side by side" he paused, knowing that he still had one question left. But what should he ask? His mind mulled over what she had already told him. But only one question really stood out to him "Why have you only given me three questions?" he paused smiling, "I plan on spending a life time getting to know you"
She shrugged. "I don't know. It just seemed like a good number to clear some mystery up, but... it leaves plenty left for me to tell you." She sighed and turned around. "Was this stupid? I felt like it was stupid. I just wanted to give you the chance to ask questions that don't just pop up, you know? Like who asks 'Hey Azura, can you tell me about the time your mother was murdered in front of you? And everyone though that it was okay?' No one." Her back facing Romancefable, she sat down with a thud. "Maybe it's just me, but I feel like an idiot."

Romacefable felt his heart lurch as she turned away from him, before swiftly moving to her side "Azura, this wasn't stupid" he gently cusped her chin, lifting it so that she could look into his eyes "Azura, there is nothing that you could do or say to ever change the way I see you" he slowly released her chin, as she met his eyes "When I look at you, I see the most beautiful cat I have ever set eyes upon. I'm not talking about your soft fur, your gorgeous curves, or even those eyes that I could stare into for days. I'm talking about your soul, the parts of you that other's don't see that are as clear as the sun shining above us to me" he paused knowing that he was edging ongoing to far, and that she didn't appreciate the romantic gestures "The way your eyes light up when you are able to express what is on your heart, the way you smile at me even when I'm being over the top ridiculous" he placed his paw onto hers "I could spend the rest of my life getting to know you and still not find all their is to know. I know this is all new to you, it is to me to. I just don't want you to feel like you have to tell me all your secrets now, and rush into anything. I'm content just being allowed to be at your side, thankful for every moment I get to simply bask in your presence. I want to know everything about you, but only when you are ready to tell me"
She instinctively tensed and closed her eyes when he cusped her chin. She opened her mouth to retort back, but fell silent as he went on. Azura didn't even notice when his paw left her chin. She held it there as if her head was suspended in the air. Everything he said just... didn't sound like her. It sounded like what she would want to hear. But he was sincere. He always was about this kind of stuff, usually too much so. It drove her crazy, but in moments like this it reminded her how lucky she was that he found her. She leaned into him and put her nose into his chest. She took a deep breath. "Thank you, really. This feelings stuff isn't really my thing, and I don't think it ever will be. But I still appreciate it. I appreciate you, ridiculousness and all."

Romancefable gently licked behind her ear as she leaned into him, his tail gently intertwining with hers "That is ok, I wouldn't have it any other way" he smiled gently, rubbing his cheek against hers "I know you worry a lot about your past and not knowing how to be with someone, but Azura you are perfect for me" he closed his eyes just enjoying her warmth up against him "You are strong, beautiful, and truthful. Every moment I am with you makes me a better cat"
What did she do to deserve him? Oh yeah. Swore him off and had her mother beat him up. Azura buried her muzzle deeper into his chest before pulling away. "Eh, I'd agree with that. You haven't invaded another clan to get me a gift for a little while." She let her tail entwine with his and nudged him with her shoulder. That koi fish got her particularly mad at the tom, more so than when he just barged into the healer's den in the beginning of her recovery. "So, let me ask you a question. What do you see in the future? Are you happy here?"

"To be honest... I haven't thought about that to much" he smiled lightly "You see growing up I always thought about finding my true love, but not really what came after finding them. The stories always ended after the couple finds one another" he paused knowing how silly it sounded, but it was the truth. He had been enraptured by the tales of romance and soulmates as a kits "I mean my family is here and this is my home... but I wasn't ever really happy here until I found you, always searching elsewhere to try and quell my heart. Longing for something more, someone that I could give my heart to. Now that I have you, I don't feel the need to go elsewhere. I just want to be by your side"
She smiled. That was all she needed to hear, if not better than she expected. "You know, I guess your name really does suit you, a little bit too much." She put her paw over his shoulder. "The happiest time I've had here is with you. I don't doubt that. I was the happiest I ever was in DayClan." She paused. Romancefable wasn't a loyalist, so it was probably safe to talk to him. "When the time comes, I'm going to leave SunClan. Once Bloodystar calms down and it's safe. I hope that you'll come with me." Amusement twinkled in her eyes. "I promise, I'll make sure Glowstar doesn't beat you up again."

Honestly the thought of leaving SunClan behind didn't really scare him, he would happily follow where ever Azura lead. However the thought of her putting her life at risk like that made his heart drop "Of course I will follow you... Just..."he paused trying to figure out the best way to say it "I just want you to be careful when the time comes. Bloodystar isn't going to allow us to just walk away from SunClan with no consequences" Azura was smart though, and he knew if anyone could figure out how to get away it would be her, but that didn't help to ease his mind much. He had seen the way the red priest dealt with those that crossed him and the thought made him shudder "I don't really care where go, so long as you are happy and safe...."
She nodded. She trained Bloodystar in secret as an apprentice, and he was hardly recognizable now. "I know... he's worse than Foxstar ever was." Her brown eyes looked back to the flower that she brought him. "If I give you one of those flowers again, meet me here." She leaned into him again. "I promise, I didn't bring you that flower to make it message, but it's discrete and... meaningful." She knew that she was the fighter of the couple. That's partially why she liked him: he knew how relax. "But... if he finds out, I'll have plenty of time to get to know you in prison." Humor was never her strong point, as evident by her dry sarcasm.
(I think we can move on to the thread where she tells him about the pregnancy. I can make it, I just needed to ask Jadie about something first.)
