Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
After everything that had happened lately in SunClan, Timesquandor was in desperate need of a break.
He left his apprentice with Myriadwolf for the day's training and headed out for a long walk. He was walking aimlessly when he found himself near the old SwiftClans camp. It had just been abandoned a day or two ago, he judged, the scents were so fresh. He wondered where they had gone.
He headed up the cliffs, following the switchbacks as sand scattered beneath his paws. He wasn't fazed, he was used to climbing up steep cliffs back home, and when he reached the top he found he had neared the SpringClan border.
"Hmm," he mused, and the sentiment was echoed in a growl from his left.
Dappledmint had only just escaped the fox’s grasp when soemone came up the hill. Here she was, resting in a tree, high out of reach when another caught the creatures gaze. “Run! This way! Hurry!” She had no idea who he was but she didn’t care at the moment. Ones life was more important than worrying about someone trespassing over the border. She waved her paw at the tom as she clung to her branch. She’d scrambled up two more form the closest one just to be sure to be out of the way. Truly she didn’t want to fight the fox but if they must she would.
His head snapped up in disbelief at the call. Who was here? He scanned the canopy swiftly until he spotted the she-cat perched within the tree. Timesqunador didn't waste time wondering who she was, either; he was too far from home to know anyone. Instead, he sprinted to the base of the tree and launched himself at it, scrambling quickly up the trunk and shredding scraps of bark with his hind claws.
The fox reached the pair, sniffing suspiciously around the roots, but it couldn't catch the cats now.
"No problem, just escaped it myself. Name's Dappledmint and you are?" She smiled, sweet and kind to the tom across from her and with no cares that he was clearly not from SpringClan. The smiling she-cat spared a glance down below, taking in the fox that was now leaving, but she dared not get down for it stayed in the area just like before. "Seems like we might be here a while. Hope you don't need to go home soon?" She asked it like a question, a little worried he wouldn't be pleased being stuck in another clan's territory, away from his family and home with a she-cat he didn't even know.
so you're the reason why notifs increase so quickly xD
"Timesquandor. I suppose we will be," he agreed cautiously. How would a SpringClan cat feel about him trespassing on their land, even if it was because of a fox? She didn't seem upset, even though she must be able to smell the SunClan scent clinging to his coat.
"No, I've got nowhere to be. If I'm late, Myriadwolf will just assume I decided to sleep outside camp again. He's my brother; he looks after me more than I do myself." Timesquandor wasn't sure why he felt inclined to share that, but it was in the open now. Myriadwolf was always telling him to be more trusting and vulnerable around other cats. His little brother had good advice, but it wasn't always practice.
Are you saying I’ve not always been the reason for that??
“Oh? Well it’s nice that someone looks after you! Hope he won’t be too worried though. I take it you do this often? Spend the night in trees with strangers that is?” She giggled, joking but also curious. He made it sound like he was never home, but there was someone waiting for him there, so shouldn’t he go home and quail their worries? Dappledmint had no one. All had departed this world before she’d become a warrior. Alone, but yet still happy. She had friends, and met strangers with joy in odd situations like this one. “If we’re lucky, a patrol might come by and with backup we could escape the Fox.” Said Fox was resting at the base of the tree, blocking their escape. The other side of the tree led to a cliff side, no way was she jumping off it. Not steep enough to kill, but enough that’d it’d hurt and possibly break something. Not a fun idea in Dappledmint’s opinion.
i have rps with other people! i just get double notifs since you tag me
"If you lived where I do, you would take a lot of walks too," he chuckled darkly. He shifted his weight on the branch to peer over the edge at the fox. Timesquandor wouldn't consider a patrol full of enemy warriors lucky.
"There's only one," he mused, "we could chase it off if we attack quickly. A fox won't stick around to battle two trained warriors."
Dappledmint tilted her head, " well you see, I've never battled a fox. Wouldn't even know how to go about it honestly." IT was true, and she spoke with her head down and her tail twitching behind her. Her own eyes, mint green, followed his do to where the fox was below the. "I...well, I supposed we could do you. You think so?
