Faith the Misty + Funk thread finally A cool autumn breeze took it's hold on the city. Even with large buildings to act as a buffer, the streets and open place were iced over. Summer was finally letting it's grip loosen, and Funk would not have been happier. He wondered how exactly he got here, what sort of force picked him up and decided to give him these things. A whole city to rule over brimming with test subjects, two drop dead gorgeous wives, a brother in law he had complicated feelings for. Supposedly great, but Funk E'tan was waiting. Waiting for the floor to fall apart beneath his feet. His kingdom was build on glass, it was only a matter of time before stones were thrown and it shattered. This was part of his decision to bring Mistyrose in. He wouldn't call her a captive, but she was forced to stay. How likely was he to run into someone as similar to himself, someone who pursued knowledge as much as he did? The bengal needed to pick her brain completely, drink it all down till he was close to throwing up. It's what led to him having Venti escort her over to one of the parks. Staying cramped up was a death sentence for the mind, he figured this sort of scenery would let her open up more. Besides, even he needed a break from his lab.
Mistyrose had short quick strides, it was cute to watch, almost like she never grew up to realize she had long legs, not short kit legs anymore. In reality WinterClan cats used short quick strides to avoid sinking into the snow, the habit had never left her. But the walk was close to that of an arctic fox. Around her neck was a necklace of gem stones and wilted flowers. Originally the plan was to head back to WinterClan, the necklace was a huge status symbol that would allow her entire family in and likely more. But since that plan was stopped short she kept it on her for safety away from thieving paws.
"Good morning Funk E'tan," She said dipping her head, the greeting carrying just barely a softer inflection than her normal monotone voice, but it quickly resumed, "What have you been up to?" She asked, coming beside him, she had little fear towards the nemesis... Probably no fear towards anyone, the promise of eternal sleep in death was promising, but the belief that her life might actually continue after death was agony.

The red tom next to her hardly said a word, only watching for if one of her paws slipped out from under her. Not only was she pregnant but Funk had stressed numerous times how important her knowledge was. So Venti felt the pressure of the world on him to keep her safe. When they finally reached the park and Mistyrose walked over to Funk, he simply vanished back into the shadows to keep watch.
And there was little reason for Misty to fear her life. She had something the Nemesis wanted, all that was needed to guarantee your safety in the town. Plus it got her a nice comfy den in the church for herself and her mate who Funk immediately forgot about. It was fine, he didn't live off anyone's fear of him. "Good morning, Mistyrose. Please take a seat." While he gestured to the grass next to him, she really could have gone anywhere. Long as no twolegs were around. "I've been doing a lot of limb replacement recently. Mostly on squirrels and rats and the like, try and see if they can take to the new limbs I give them. My son found himself a nice enough girl that could use the same, but he hardly lets me look at her, let alone experiment." Funk rambled. He did that a lot, but it was different talking about things that you know the other person could understand. Like sure, he could talk Lucistic's ears off about poisons, but talking about them with Foxbane was much more interesting. "Besides that, I'd guess you'd have more questions of your own?"
Mistyrose sat down next to him, her curious gaze watching his lips move as she zoned out briefly in thought before responding, "I have no questions, everything seems straight forward. You need my help and you won't let me leave until I assist. I need to help save Littlestar and am willing to assist in anyway necessary if it means leaving her to get help. That and Innocentia is planning to eat my kits, but I can't stop her so I might have to accept that. Also I would suggest cutting a leg off and sewing it to her chest, the body needs to get used to it, the chest is the best place. But she'll definitely die of blood loss or some complication."

He decided to keep the information about wanting revenge on the two close to his chest. For as much as Funk didn't want Bloodystar to have Sunclan, he didn't want Littlestar back in control. At this point, if Sunclan just burned till they all became ash, it would be fine to him. A satisfying end to a boring read. Funk let it go, for now, silently hoping that Bloody would hurry up and ignite the flames. "That makes sense, primary blood flow, and all that. Sounds like she was born with these issues, and as much as I don't mind doing multiple surgeries to get the job done, I'm pretty sure my son will. Can't have her dying or I gotta find a new healer and those are scarce here." If it bugged him that Mistyrose was zoning out, he didn't show it. Chatting away like always. "That's neither here or there. I want to know about the secrets to Winterclan's Witch training. They make it sound like such a big deal, but is it really?"
Mistyrose nodded along with what Funk was saying, her head space refocusing, not snapping back, but slowly fading back in, "The new Gods and heavens each time gave me power, but never asked if I wanted it so there was no formal training. As an alchemist I learned how to banish spirits and gods temporarily. As a witch I began to feel other people's emotions, but more than that I gained a connection. I could transfer the energy of poppyseeds into a crystal so when someone would put the crystal by them they would feel sleepy. Is that what you mean?"

"Sort of." Really, he shouldn't be surprised. The clans were all about deities and spirits and the like. It's what made him like Primal Instinct more. It was all physical, all scientific, all here. Funk didn't need to worry about omens or connections or any of that. He could just see the results of his actions and take it from there. Still, the witchcraft, for lack of a better term, was fascinating. Well, the effects. He wasn't interested in feeling what others could feel. But crystals with the effects of poppy seeds? That was up his alley. "So you can basically infuse the effects of an herb or whatever into something else, right? It must not be as strong as the real thing, but useful in a pinch when you don't have access to herbs year round, I'm guessing?"
