Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
He was bored, so bored, bored enough that he was lying on his back in front of the warriors den, hoping someone tripped on him in the low morning light. Then perhaps he could at-least get a chuckle. And if someone came out and didn't trip on him they would at-least likely ask him what he was doing and then maybe he could convince them to help entertain him.
There was never anything to do in this clan he lamented, it seemed all the other clans were always in petty arguments and disagreements. He regretted being born into a clan that seemed to have a steadier head on it's shoulders. Surely things would be much more lively if they had more kits being stolen, or arranged marriages, or wars. Right? Maybe he should attempt to start a family feud, and then see how long he could stoke the flames of hate.

Smoketwirl blinked open her pale eyes against the morning sun and a yawned slipped out of her as she stretched in her nest. Just another day and the black she-cat frowned as she debated what to do today. She carefully got her paws and shook out she fur. For a second, Smoketwirl turned back to her nest and dug around till she found a good piece of catnip for the day. Her sweet addiction. She slipped the leaf between her teeth and made her way to the entrance of the warrior’s den, stepping neatly over the bodies of her still sleeping clanmates. Hm, maybe she’ll bother Treasurecove today and see what he was up to.
Smoketwirl let out a hiss as she almost collided with a warm body laying in the middle of the entrance to the den. She gracefully leaped over the prone form of the cat and turn to level them with a glare. “Idiot! That’s how your mousebrained self gets hurt.” She sneered, looking down at the tom with contempt and her catnip hanging out the side her mouth. Great now this tom had soured her mood. She need to do something extra risky today to help her get her spirits. There is always the waterfall, but she did that yesterday. Nevermind, she would figure it out.
He was scrambling to his paws almost the moment she whirled around, barely hearing her hissing reprimand. Uncaring for her words or scolding, instead he was much more interested by her temper and scowl. "So hostile and it's still so early in the morning! Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?" He sneered, though there was something playful in his words. An invitation to an argument perhaps? Though if one knew Twistedhumor then they would know the toms moods seemed to be the highest when others were annoyed with him.
"I know just what you need though, so don't worry." He paused due to his own affection for dramatics before continuing to speak. "What you need is a good brawl! We should go find an angry dog! I would prefer a badger but those can be a little harder to scrounge up." The tom seemed ready to bulldoze over the fact they'd never spoken before, that she was just yelling at him, and he had just moment ago tried to send her sprawling into the dirt. "We should find some moss balls and soak them in something disgusting and then throw them at a dog to really rile it up. We'll have a better time that way." He assured her.

Smoketwirl arched an eyebrow at the tom as he sprang to his paws. Het lip curled at his suggestion that she woke up on the wrong side of her nest and her catnip stayed in place. “I woke up just fine, until I ran into you.” She fired back, her words not as harsh and hard as her first retort. She could feel him baiting her into an argument and she was one to never back down. She lived for arguments and debates, always playing the devil’s advocate any chance she got. The she-cat was about to really give it to the tom when his next words got her attention.
Smoketwirl’s ears perked forward and she eyed the tom with a new interest. Finally someone who understood the fun in a good fight. A wicked gleam appeared in her eyes and a smirk fell across her face. “Now you are speaking my language. I know a place where a few dogs hole up. Was just there last week. You sure you’re up for it?” She replied, narrowing her eyes at him as she looked him up and down. She has had others say they’ll come and then when they find out the plans, they turn tail and run.
Twistedhumor listened to her and watched her attitude shift at his own words, almost vibrating with how eager he was. His smile growing wide enough to cover his whole face when she showed interest in his idea to go bother the dogs. It felt like a victory to a battle that he hadn't decided they were fighting until just then. Though he did twitch a little at her dubious expression he decided there was still a long ways to go before he won the war.
"I might not be traditionally helpful but I'm scrappy in a fight." He assured her, with an amazing little amount of actual assurance. For one could take his statement to mean a number of things and the tom didn't seem like he planned on expanding upon his words at all. "Come along then, let us gather the ammunition and then go find these dogs!" He flicked his tail and bounced forward a few steps, looking back at her in a silent demand that she hurry and take the lead.

An analytical glare followed the tom as he pranced forward a fee steps before stopping to turn and look back at her. Smoketwirl huffed a sigh and padded past the tom, heading out of the entrance of camp. “That’s what they all say.” She commented, flashing him a smirk. The lithe black she-cat navigated the path out of camp with nimble steps and immediately headed to the east, making her way to the abandoned windmill. “I am assuming you know where the abandoned windmill is.” She asked.
The sun could be seen coming over the mountain range in the distance, bathing Fallclan territory in a soft orange glow. Smoketwirl took a deep breath and smiled, enjoying the taste of the fresh fall breeze. This was he absolute favorite time of the year. She continued heading east and made her way down the mountain path to the lush forest of trees. Her pace was steady and quick, not caring if the tom could keep up or not.
Twistedhumor followed her on lean legs, built for running but easily snapped like twigs in a fight; or so he imagined. His ear twitched at her superior tone but he managed to wrestle is tongue into submission so he did not say something that would ruin the whole excursion. "I know where the windmill is, who doesn't know where it is." He countered with a huff, shouldered rolling before he skipped forward a few steps to walk at her flank rather than directly behind her.
"I like to tell the apprentices that it's haunted and then recruit some others to help me scare the fur off them next time they go there." He admitted, for he was rather proud of the feat. He thought it was all great fun, even if once one of the apprentices got so scared they twisted a paw trying to rush away and spent a week recovering. Frankly that seemed like a non-issue since it wasn't like he had directly shoved them or anything. They were just a scaredy cat.

Smoketwirl twitched her whiskers in amusement at his story. She remembers her time at as an apprentice and taking late night trips to the abandoned windmill just to get her fill of adrenaline. The place really was spooky at night with it’s rundown structure and crumbling wood. It had the perfect ambience for a haunted place. It always helped that mice loved the place so at least she’d bring back fresh kill when she returned to the wee hours of the morning. The idea of creating a set up in the rundown mill to give a fright to passing cats sound like fun and she would definitely not mind lending a hand if the tom ever needed it. As long as no one caught hurt.
“The sounds interesting. Let me know when you plan to take another trip out there to scare some passing by. I might be interested in helping out.” Smoketwirl responded, her pale eyes shifting to look over at the tom. He was interesting to say the least, but would wait a little while longer before making her final judgements. Also, why was this tom itching to go out and get into a fight? She thought she was the only risk taker in Fallclan, but apparently not. She’ll have to keep an eye on him in the future.
He beamed, or at-least beamed in his own way; which was more a sardonic grin than anything else. Pleased with himself for managing to gain the others interest without having to resort to pandering to things he knew she already enjoyed, or could at-least guess she already enjoyed. "I'll be sure to invite you along next time I make a trip; I was thinking sometime around the festival."
"There will be a lot of activity and in the nature of things a haunted mill will be extremely plausible for those wandering nearby. So I won't have to set it up by spending days before hand talking about strange happenings nearby the mill." He explained, knowing some of his excitement was clear in his voice. But he really was looking forward to not having to spend days crafting lies and prodding cats into sharing the rumors just to scare a few brave and curious apprentices.

She chuckled and shook her head in exasperation. This tom was surely one of a kind and it intrigued her. He seemed to know what she enjoyed and it sort of unnerved her. "Great. It'll be some great fun." She commented as they continued on their way. The morning sun filtered through the trees as they entered the forest that sat on the edge of the clearing of the abandoned windmill.
"We could great some fun out of the fall season coming into play. May make some cats' bravery spike and prompt them to wander closer than they normally would." She mentioned, glancing over at the tom. Her pale eyes held a sharp and critical gleam in them and they seemed to be trying to analyze and dissect him.
"Wait, are these dogs we're going to pester," He paused to re-organize his thoughts as it was a rather sudden one. "Do they live in the abandoned windmill? Because I've never seen a dog there." Sudden as the thought was it was a rather valid one as now Twistedhumor was wondering if he was just pathetically unobservant enough to have never noticed or if the dogs just happened to be over by that area.
He then wondered if they were large or small dogs and how many moss balls they would theoretically need. "Here's my thinking," the tom started to speak aloud as he often did when he had multiple things bouncing around inside his brain at once. "we find a place to get the dogs to chase us to, and at this place we'll have stashed some moss balls. Somewhere high obviously, where they can't reach us. Then we make a game out of throwing the balls at the dogs. Maybe something point oriented?"

Smoketwirl shook her head at his question. "It does not live at the abandoned windmill. It lives in the area among so rocks. It just arrived there a few weeks ago and I want to chase it away." She replied, her claws flexing into the ground beneath her paws. The black she-cat had caught a glimpse of the dog a while ago and she knew it would create some fun for her. Honestly, she was surprised Twistedhumor did not ask sooner as everyone else she recruited for this adventure peppered her with questions.
Taking in the tom's words, she nodded along. She liked the way the warrior thought and she agreed with his plan. It was sound and reasonable at the moment. It would not be hard for them to get the dog to give in to the case. "That makes sense. Sounds like a good plan. I'm sure we can pull it off quite well." She replied, glancing to at the tom with her pale eyes and a sly smile coming across her face.
[ sorry, my doggo needed surgery so been a little caught up.
"How could we not pull it off well!" Twistedhumor laughed, shaking out his coat to try and toss away some of his over excitement. "If I have learned anything in this short partnership it is that you and I are the perfect pair to handle this adventure." For once his words didn't have so ulterior motive, or were simply being said to flatter anyone. He was in truth rather glad how everything was turning out and how well Smoketwirl and himself were doing.
Seeing the abandoned mill he picked up his pace and glanced around, rather pleased with the location. There was always plenty of moss around, the excessive shade helping it take over. And the crumbled roof a haven for moss to make weak attempts at covering it. "We have plenty of supply here." He observed out-loud pleased before moving forward to start ripping up moss to then split and roll into balls.

Smoketwirl gave a small laugh in agreement with Twistedhumor’s words. “I would be inclined to agree. We seem to have to the same perspective on such adventures which makes us quite compatiable.” Her words were clinical and well-said as if she was trying to disconnect herself before she got to close to the tom, but nevertheless her tone of voice held a certain warmth in it as she felt a flare of fondness rise in her. This tom was unlike any others she met and it excited and thrilled her. She was always one to jump headlong into any situation, but for some odd reason she found herself holding back.
Smoketwirl quickly kept pace with the tom, her eyes gleaming brightly as they spotted the abandoned mill up ahead. Nodding in agreement with Twistedhumor’s statement, she moved around the edge of the building as she searched for a decent sized pile for herself. She found one clinging to the side of the rotten wood that was now the shell of the structure. Flexing her claws out, the black she-cat started swiping off strips of moss. “We will have plenty in no time.” She called out with amusement.
