Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The silvery tom kit lay in the soft moonlight, enjoying the near quiet spot he found to isolate himself. Grosbeakkit's eyes were open, just barely, in case some other cat happened to wander up unannounced...
It just so happened that another cat did pop in unannounced, setting herself right beside Grosbeakkit with little warning. "It's freezing out." Berrykit commented, attempting to start small-talk with the other kit, though unaware of how odd it probably sounded considering her own physical appearance. Berrykit was at least seemingly lucky enough to be born with a long, puffy and fluffy grey coat that almost engulfed the kit's entire being. It would have seemed she was at least a bit warmer that most cats in camp with visibly shorter fur. However, appearances were deceiving, and in reality Berrykit's fur was just one not completely fully layer of kitten fur, barely enough to keep out the cold on a lukewarm day.
The tom kit was taken slightly aback, but not quite surprised, at the other kits' appearance. His fur ruffled up a bit as he gathered his thoughts in preparation for this interaction. "Yes, I suppose it is," Grosbeakkit responded with a shiver. He had not realized how chilly it was. "But it's a beautiful night huh?"
Two identical faces emerged from the shadows. Two she-kits, although, not quite as fully coated as Grosbeakkit approached in unison.
"We love the night!" Melodykit and Harmonykit chimed together.
"The cold -" Harmonykit started.
"- is just something you get used to!" Melodykit finished.
It was ironic, as the siamese kits were shivering in the below freezing atmosphere. Their breath was visible in the cold. The dynamic duo had been out exploring camp. It was hard for them to sit still in the nighttime.
Grosbeakkit snapped his attention to the two newcomers, shocked that two more of them were willing to show up. "Well, the night is very nice. It's my favorite time of day." He gave an appreciative nod then continued, "I'm not too fond of the cold though."
"That's true!" came a tiny thoughtful mew from within the nursery. A slender black and white tom kit appeared and sat down pointedly in the most exposed location he could. "Alright. I wonder how long I'd have to sit here before I actually get stronger..." Whitekit mused, battling valiantly against the shivers that threatened to overwhelm him.
Grosbeakkit took a look at the newest newcomer, watching him struggle to not shiver. He, himself, was accustomed to the nipping air, having been out for a good minute. He opened his maw and spoke, "Hey, why don't we come up with some game to play, or go do some of our own training? I mean, we'll get stronger."
