The sun shone down warming Cutthroat's auburn fur as he silently stalked an elusive rabbit in the rabbit meadow. It had been sometime since he hunted over here, not since his mate had gone missing. But right now all his thoughts were focused on making this catch. Just as he was about to charge, a soft crack sounded behind him. It wasn't loud but it was loud enough to alert his quarry which took to flight. With a sigh, he turned to see who or what made the sound.
